“It’s a small restaurant with absolutely great food and excellent service. They have a variety of food and they even got pizza on their menu ! Their aguas frescas are a must. Really recommend it especially because of their very pleasant customer service. Truly wish it will become a bigger place !!“

“The atmosphere is great. Will recommend this place just to stop by, have a beer, grab a snack and enjoy the outdoor games they have. As for my first experience, the food was alright. The food we had was flautas, obviously, which were perfectly cooked, not hard to chew on. As for flavor, not much flavor in them. Aztec soup tasted like watered down ketchup. Avocados were hard and tasteless. Queso had no flavor. The brisket was a bit hard and tasteless. The churros had very little to no flavor. The corn was a bit too salty. My group and I did go 20 minutes after they opened, and the server/cook did not seem friendly. Almost like she had a “it’s too early to have customers” attitude. She did show us how to order on the kiosk, but really just rushed through it, not that it was hard to use but she rushed it like she didn’t want to show us. Overall, I still recommend this place as the atmosphere is mellow, large selection of sides, kid friendly environment, and it’s very clean. I look forward to coming back as I did enjoy my time being there and grabbing a bite to eat with my family. I tend to support local and I always try to leave my honest personal opinion. I look forward to coming back in the near future.“

“Just a little hole in the wall but very good. Not much English spoken from the waiter so thankfully my husband can speak Spanish. Not a fancy place a lackluster atmosphere but their food makes up for that and the service. The chorizo queso dip is thick with a great cheese pull. The birria tacos were good, not over the top good, I have had better but the al pastor tacos were on point. Should come with more cilantro, onions and definitely more lime but the flavor was there. My 2nd time visiting and definitely not my last. I live in Arizona but I will make it a point to visit here each time I come. It's a no frills place but who needs frills when the food speaks for itself.“

“The food was really good it's worth the trip. But it's a breakfast & lunch 7 am to 2 pm only. It's about 5-10 minute wait it's little and doesn't look like much but it is good food and fresh. Service is great gave it 4 stars because it's not a pretty restaurant. It's a moma &papa place. When I drive through El Paso again I'm planning on stopping at Ernesto's.“

“Exceptional food, drink and service.....Definitely a place to frequent....If they had Simpatico beer, I'd rent a table and live there.Update: I live severalblocks away... but here it is after midnite... they say they're 'closed' but their "music" is rattling the windows.... I moved here and noticed the placed had burned.... I am starting to see why, now that they're 'open' again.....lack of consideration is equal to not doing business with.“

“I've been coming to this place since I was a kid, the food has always been super good and the salsas available are amazing. I will continue to visit for years to come. The one thing I have found sad to see is the food quality go down in recent years. The beans are all from the can and just heated up, the flautas too used to have more meat inside. I'm a loyal customer but with prices on the rise, I'd rather make my own at home sometimes given this lack of food quality.“

“Here's an example of the locals that "done good ". Their location is quite visible from the freeway, and they work hard to make it profitable for people to stop there.. Also, they attract a lot of locals so that there's generally someone getting a meal there that I recognize. If it wasn't good food, that probably wouldn't happen.“

“A small place that took good care of us on Monday night after we left a funeral. The waitresses took great care of us and made sure we didn't miss anything. We ordered a large order of tacos (11 orders of 8 tacos each order) and their famous boiled potatoes. Our local family from California and Kansas City, we thank you for serving us almost close to closing and for the great service of the two ladies and the cooks. No pictures.“

“Stepping out of your car in the parking lot, you're already hit with the delicious aroma of freshly made authentic Mexican cuisine. The ambiance is like walking into a bar style, rustic cantina with a homey feel. Amazing and fast staff that takes pride in their job. We wanted to try a little bit of everything, so we ordered.. Chile Colorado burrito, which the meat was absolutely soft and filled with flavor. Breakfast egg burrito which was super filling, has eggs, bacon, ham, and potatoes. A burrito of carnitas that were not dry at all, and cooked to perfection. The chicken mole tasted a little sweet with great flavor. The menudo is every day not just on weekends like other restaurants. The menudo was not too spicy and definitely hit the spot! The prices are very reasonable for the large portions they serve.“
“Delicious food, friendly service and perfectly priced menu. This will definitely be one of our favorite go to restaurants here in El Paso.“

“Menudo was GOOD, but not the best. Cost more here than other places. The pansa was cut small, and the flavor was on point.Chorizo burritos are fatty but not worth over $4. Lacked chorizo. Charged an extra dollar for cheese, too. Cheese was barely added and charged a "customer service" fee for using a debit card, I presume. Pretty ghetto when places do this. Just add the fee to your food cost, dummies. This charge makes you look foolish as a business to show this type of charge on your receipts.Better menudo elsewhere in the area that does not charge extra fees for paying with a card or for some stupid automatic tip that's added for to-go's when ordered up front as a to go order.Maybe they'll respond here to confirm what that charge is for. Still unacceptable and a bad business practice and a disservice. This place is close to my house. I will not be back. There are lots of better options in the area!Good luck on your experience.“

“Is the best! I love it! I always come here, I'm a regular customer. They always taste very good, I would like them to open later than 3pm but it can't be closed hehe. It is very fresh and has good seasoning. Very friendly and fast. I just don't like DoorDash because it lets you order for pickup until 5pm and it's not open at that time anymore. I fought a lot to get my money back.“

“We were looking for authentic Mexican food during our stop on Anthony and were very grateful we stopped at El Jefa! The service was great, the food delicious and the prices were exceptional. I had the Chimi Plate and it came with 2 large green or red chimi’s with rice and beans! It was delicious. Highly recommend!“

“Me and my family love to go there every Sunday, me and my husband already go there since we got married until now and my son love this place too. He loves the food and all the staff members are really friendly to us. Food was great never change the flavor, I was hoping they always keep flavor the same don't ever change it because any other restaurants I have been too never have good taste like this.“

“I used to enjoy my food here. I won't be going back for awhile, if ever. Food was not quality. More of a microwave reheat. Wasn't fresh food off of the stove. Too bad.Parking: Tight lot because Acetunas is next door. The evening crowd was heavy, with a live band. I felt lucky to find a spot“

“Great experience! We ordered fish and shrimp tacos, calamari and shrimp ceviche. It was all very good and I don’t really like seafood, but this little place was excellent! We got there just in time to get a table (1pm) as it quickly filled and people waiting outside to be seated. Service was great! We got our food quickly. The entire wait staff was super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend! We will be back!“

“The fish tacos were great. Some of the best I have tasted. I added avocado wedges for final touch before adding the chipotle sauce. Service was quick & easy. I carried out after ordering on the phone. Was a little disappointed I had to pay by phone but got over it quickly when my order was just coming out as I arrived. Still had to sign the CC receipt. Seems unnecessary after paying by phone but ok.“

“I love this place. Showed up on a Saturday less than 30 minutes before close. I ordered barbacoa with beans, and it was fresh, delicious, and tenderé without being greasy. So.Damn.Good. The lemonada was on point too. The ladies who work there are always very nice and they work very hard. Tortillas are rolled fresh to order.“

“I placed a pickup order with FAVOR an hour before they closed. My FAVOR order was canceled. Yvonne's told the driver it was a system issue with FAVOR and it was declining all cards however the message from my app says that Yvonne's was closed and wouldn't fill the order So let me get this straight. Is it Favor or Yvonne's? FAVOR messaged me that FAVOR put a hold on my card that won't be released for a few days. NOW, I have no dinner and a hold on my card. I will not order from Yvonne's ever again. If the restaurant is closed they shouldn't have accepted the order, however, I looked up their hours of operation and they close at 9. I also looked at my bank account and Favor didn't have an issue taking the money out of my account. Seems to me that Yvonne's lacks an ability to deliver customer service and didn't want to fill the order. I could maybe understand if I had walked in the restaurant to sit down and eat at 15 min to close but I ordered to go an hour before close!! I won't be trying it again and I won't be recommending it to anyone either.“
“I used to live in Westway, now living in Phoenix. Now I’m buying their products over the internet. I’m spreading the website, a friend from San Diego now buys his from Westway.“

“Only missing a star because they were out of several burritos, and just because they don't go post that on their menus outside. Just a tad annoying to be told three times in a row that they were out. But they have great food and it's understandable they run out with as much traffic as they get! However, chile relleno is never spicy, always too greasy and never salted. That one does need a complete revamp.“

“We mostly use them for take out, having already tried their food; it's delicious, and their service is second to none.Parking: They're located next to a strip mall so there's plenty of paved parking, all the way to their entrance.Wheelchair accessibility: I saw a couple of wheelchair ramps leading to their doors; they have double doors so there are no obstacles for handipped customers.“
