“Had a BBQ chicken sandwich. That was cooked so good, the BBQ sauce soaked in. Also had a brisket sandwich that was quite excellent. A water and a Gatorade as well. Service was quick and superb. The restrooms were quite clean. I was very pleased with the visit. This is also an Exxon convenience store.“
“For a quick bite on the route, we stopped here for lunch and I was vastly impressed by the food quality and quantity of this place. The portion is generous and the quality is phenomenal; my parents had been here years ago but it was my first time and I had a great experience. I ordered the deluxe plate and the sides are all amazing. I highly recommend this place. I will dare say that it is better than Buccees.“
“Hinze's Bar-B-Que is a pretty small local BBQ joint. The food is decent and it's affordable. It's not the best BBQ I've had (having traveled all over Texas and most of the southern United States) but it's certainly not bad at all. I had the brisket, sausage, green beans, and Mac n' cheese. I think that's a pretty decent spread to be able to judge based on. It was all decently good, I'll come back during my stay and try out the chicken and pork!My critiques are as follows: The meat didn't come out as hot as I'd have liked. Like any BBQ place, everything is prepped beforehand, it just wasn't heated up much. The sausage was a bit lean, and it lacked that juiciness you might be accustomed to with smoked sausage.Their BBQ sauce stood out to me, I did enjoy its flavor. It's just a shame I felt the need to use it on the brisket.“
