The owner is the most down to earth person, and my husband and I will most definitely be returning, and I recommend 10/10 hands down! For everyone to try this place! “Great spot, friendly and entertaining, moist meat, not overly smoked or overcooked at all. ON POINT! Well worth the money and stop. Mac & Cheese was like it came right out of the oven. My only wish was for a few tables to sit and eat. But the operator said they are improving the grounds next week. It's already a great spot but we look forward to bringing the gang next time and enjoy that big trees shade. Basketball hoop to boot as well for the kids.“

“Love going on Sunday's. They give free ice cream. We go for lunch. I want to say the ice cream is giving for lunch time. I love getting the three meat plate. Baby back ribs, brisket and sausage. “Rudy's Country Store and Bar-B-Q in Richmond is aligned with other stores I've visited. They are very consistent is delivering good quality food. The Spicy Chop sandwich is good and relatively lean but certainly doesn't live up to the expected spice level. Also, the sandwich should have had more meat, it covers the bun if you spread it out. The Half Chicken is a better value. The dish is reasonably prices and the chicken is moist and flavorful.The staff behind the counter is intensely focused on taking your order and slightly robotic, however, I'm here to eat not chat. The rustic environment is expected and somewhat appropriate. I'll never be a fan of the hard wood benches. It makes you want finish your meal and get out.“
“My partner and I visited for the first time and throughly enjoyed ourselves! The Value Meal was a deal and was enough for the two of us. Prices are even better during happy hour! The best part of the meal though was the service we got from Lucia. We came later in the evening and she served us efficiently and was extremely friendly! She also knew the menu inside and out and helped explain how to order and what to do.“

“Very good barbeque, loved the ribs and the jalapeno sausage. Brisket was a little on the mushy side for my taste, but probably would be great on a sandwich or potato. None of it needed sauce, great flavor profile with just the rub.And that's a good thing because the sauce was a huge disappointment... Too ketchupy for my taste, with a hit of cider vinegar. The sides were similarly underwhelming, beans straight out of the can and Mac and cheese like the lunch lady served you in grade school (mushy noodles and watery cheese)... they could at least throw them in the smoker for a bit and add some rub seasoning!But the star of the show was by far the danged nanna puddin. Heavenly doesn't begin to describe the pillowey, caramel infused creamy goodness that enveloped the vanilla wafers and banana slices. It was somewhere between a custard and a cheesecake, so darn good that I'd almost go to prison for the recipe. Do yourself a favor and get some.Now my last gripe. Parking sucks. Big-time. Don't expect to find a place to part between 11:30am and 1:00pm, this place is packed. I would recommend getting here early if you want some because the crowds come fast and start ordering party platters. We got there at 1030 and by 1115 there was a line out the door.Parking: About 15 spaces. No parking on the street or side street.“

“I went here by myself and was hungry in the mood for meat and rice. I like the atmosphere, plenty of booths, tables for big parties, and even a more traditional area where you sit on the floor (rugs) and eat at small tables. The staff was friendly, my server was great and even the other server working there came by to check on me. And the manager stopped by to make sure I liked my food. The food was delicious! My only issue was I can't handle spicy food and asked for mild spicy, but they asked if I wanted the food washed (no spice) and I said mild was fine. But I should have gone with the washed option because it ended up giving me stomach trouble. I also ordered a dish that had jalapenos in it, and my server warned me about how spicy everything was but apparently I can't handle spicy food at all, even though it tasted amazing. I ordered the mixed grill and added a goat leg. This was good, especially the chicken. I had 2 orders of yakhni soup, which I loved. It's a pure broth and they give you a little lime slice to squeeze in it and it was so good. I had something called Alu Palak which is boiled potatoes with a tasty spinach gravy. This is the one that had jalapenos. It is an awesome dish! Also ordered some white rice with cumin seeds. Had hot green tea to drink which came out perfect. So, a great meal with lots of leftovers because the mixed grill is too much for one person. I had to throw out the leftovers though because it was too spicy. Next time I will definitely ask for the food to be not spicy at all, and if I do order the Alu Palak (it was so good) again I'll pick out the jalapenos. Also will get a smaller dish than the mixed grill, probably one of the chicken dishes because they have tasty chicken here. Highly recommended, just be careful about the spice level because even the mild is pretty strong.“

(I have been in the kitchen during and after working hours several times servicing their equipment).If you want real Family Owned Texas BBQ this is the place.A bit pricey but I think it's worth it.Parking: Good and plenty.“
“Very good food, had a family meal with two large sides and the family was satisfied with the portions and the flavor. Brisket was a little dryer than expected and not enough barbecue was provided but the service and quality was undeniably great. The ribs were juicy and full of flavor. Will be back and hopeful for even higher results next time. The picture does no justice at just how much flavor is hidden behind the layers of the ribs.“
