Food was semi warm when we got and don't think it was super fresh. Tasted more like it had been in a warmer, them put in a to go box which was cold by the time we ate. Seasoning wise, it was good. My plate was catfish, fries and coleslaw. Hubs got catfish, beans and potatoe salad. Catfish was good but it's more like catfish nuggets. Regular plate wasn't very filling. My guests and I ordered 2 Chopped Brisket platters with sides, and 1 Turkey Sandwhich. There was very little smokiness with the Brisket. Without the sauce the Brisket wasn't much to speak of. The portions for the Brisket was good. The side dishes were very flavorful. The Turkey Sandwhich was reported as well cooked. Plenty of meat on it. Nice, older and country setting. Once the meal was served there was no staff to patron communication.
Love, Love, Love the fish fry plate! This is one of those hidden gems that when you find it you don't really want to tell anyone about just keep it a special secret for your own enjoyment....but you also can't help but tell everyone how delicious it was!! It's our favorite fish fry place ever.
