“My wife and I were going to go to Lucky 13 for her birthday and our anniversary. They were slammed, so we looked for an alternative. Bandits pulled up as an option that neither of us knew about. (Even though we both grew up in Cottonwood Heights)We were greeted upon walking in, and were seated immediately. We started with fried pickles, and they were amazing! 10/10. My wife had the Best in the West burger with onion rings and ranch beans. She loved every part of it. I had the pick 3 combo with Tri Tip, Pulled Pork, and half chicken with daily vegetables and garlic fries as a side. The sides were amazing, and the tri tip was phenomenal. The pulled pork was a little bland, and I would not do the half a chicken again. Service was amazingly friendly. The only thing that kept this from being a 5 star visit is my drink bottoming out and having to wait for 5-10 minutes for a refill.We will be recommending Bandits, and will be back!“

“This place is so cute! From pulling up they have a little balcony with cute lights strung up, to walking inside it is such a cute authentic place to go have a drink. “Wonderful! First time there, primarily for the Mariachi performing group (Tuesdays 6-8). They were fantastic! It can be a little loud, but heh... they performed their first number for the entire restaurant, then proceeded to go around to the different tables and, if requested, perform a special number for the people at that table or booth. We found the food to be quite good as well. Service was perfectly fine. It can be difficult to hold conversations while they are singing, so next time, we might get there at maybe 530, enjoy our food and chat, and then enjoy the performing group for however long we like. Highly recommend this place for the excellent food and for the Mariachi band on Tuesday evenings.“

I really enjoyed the bone marrow with the chimichurri sauce, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. “Beehive is the first and original gin distillery in Utah. I love the ambiance and is a great place for meeting friends or family or both to get together. The bartenders have always been personable and not in a creepy way. I do prefer the clear distilled gin vs the barrel reserve which is a lot more musky. If you are a whiskey or bourbon person you should try the barrel reserve.“

A bunch of us met up for drinks after a concert and since I was a designated driver, I ordered a Pepsi. I was charged $2.50, which was fine. A lot of places give it to you for free or cheap if you're driving, but I don't mind paying.My issue is that I was charged the same for every refill. I NEVER have to pay for soda refills at any other bar. To charge for refills at a bar in a state with strict "not a drop" laws, when someone is being responsible and not drinking or is trying to sober up, is unconscionable. Its a really bad policy. We both love the sparkling sake draft, and I tried their kurosawa nigori which was such a nice unfiltered sake. Very smooth and sweet. Squirreled Away had a nice mandarin flavor to it. We also decided to try a couple plates. The taro scotch egg was so good and the sauce was like this really nice chili crisp with a husky flavor that complemented it well. The birria dumplings had an incredible consomé that tasted better than when I've gotten birria other places. Very nice drinks, nice food, great vibes.“

It really looks like a place people go on a date to, but we went as a family and enjoyed the food, the music, the board/card games they had available to play, and the chalk board to draw on. “We're here for pool league tonight. Three tables, a little tilted but good felt, springy bumpers and fast. No food as the place is going through a multiple phased renovation. The kitchen is currently under construction so no food to review tonight. The bartender is very good. He can mix drinks and provides a nice pour from the tap. He comes around occasionally to see if we need anything. Very service oriented and kind. There are a number of regulars at the bar and 9 flat screens playing NCAA and NBA hoops... Big Willie's is right across the street so you can order food from Big Willie's and they will deliver your food with a big smile and extra Fry sauce. You can call in your order. There is an app but not sure if you can order food from it. If you order food to be delivered, break it off for them with a $10 spot at least, just sayin'. We're play playing a league tournament and everyone is having a good time, win or lose. I like this little spot. Big industrial sized Golden Tee, big screen TVs showing sports and they do Karaoke! “I met a friend here and stayed for only a short time (30-45 min) but while I was here I had a great experience with the waitress and other patrons who were sitting near our table, watching a game on TV. My experience here was very positive and I'll be going back sometime to stay for longer and be able to try the food and get a better feel for everything.“

They run an open bar, non-veterans are welcome, and you don’t need to be a BFW member to have a drink there. Drinks are very cheap, the bartenders are friendly and fast, you can run a tab with a credit card, and they have pretty good bands most weekends. This is not a fancy bar.
