“I've held off reviewing Vertical Diner for several years now, still mourning the fall from grace it experienced after changing ownership and no longer being Sage's. However, after several years in the wilderness I feel like it has finally built its way back to serious competition for the best vegan food in Utah. The addition of more fresh ingredients, the habanero mango wings, and an improved tempeh bacon and crispy chik'n add to an addictive dipping cheez sauce to make it hard to go wrong. My wife always orders La Mesa, an excellent GF option. I jump around more, but the Ian McKaye mac-and-cheeze burger is a favorite. We eat here 2-3x a month and can strongly recommend it; our carnivore friends have been happy with their food too, since it not only has great flavors but in the last years has got the textures right too.“
“We hit the drive-thru for lunch today. The line went really fast, the employee helping us was cheery and friendly, and our food was good! The fries, especially, were awesome--hot and crispy. And I love that they give you fry sauce without having to ask. It's kind of a bummer that they serve Pepsi products since we prefer Coke, but it's not the end of the world. We got the bacon cheeseburger and the turkey avocado sandwich. The burger was really good. The turkey sandwich was big and they didn't skimp on the turkey or avocado. It was a little bland, though--could have used a couple of strips of bacon or maybe ranch instead of mayo, and it would have been nice if the bread had been toasted. Still, though, not the worst sandwich I've ever had. We've been here a few times and I have no doubt we'll be back. But next time I'll get a burger instead of the turkey sandwich. :)“

“I really like this location. Similar locations tend to be on the rougher side of the fence when it comes to cleanliness. Big plus here. They keep it spotless.Since the Apollo Burger closer to me burned down a few years ago, it's always nice to stop in here. The food is really good and the staff are even better. Couldn't find friendlier employees who seem to actually give a damn if I tried.Great location right off the freeway makes for a great escape if you're looking to hit the drive-through and bounce when you're in a hurry. On the flip side, they actually have a very spacious dining area, which is great for eating in. So much space, in fact, that there's literally room to stretch out and run a couple of fire drills around your table if you feel so inclined. “We went here because of the great reviews but had a little different experience. The four of us ordered cannelloni, Tuscan chicken pasta, a mushroom pizza, and chicken mushroom ravioli with pesto sauce. Everything was served at the same time, and it was all hot except the ravioli, which was barely warm. The cannelloni (two on the plate) were not pasta in any traditional sense, more like a crepe wrapped around the filling. The food was pretty good, not great, and overpriced in our opinions for the size of the portions, which were adequate but not generous, except for the pizza. It was of a good size. We asked for water and received Costco bottled water at $1.75 each. Our server did as well as she could, but she was the only person running the restaurant, including cooking. We left a decent tip because she earned it, but we will not go back.Edited after reading the owner's two responses (the first, apparently written in haste and anger, was appropriately deleted, but I have a screenshot) --In hindsight I raised the food and general ratings to four stars. As you can see in my review, most of my issues were not with food quality.In my many experiences with Italian restaurants through the years, I have never seen cannelloni served in crepes.Local restaurants generally offer the option of free tap water in glasses. “We visited this Crown Burger on Saturday night, and went in. I always go in for Crown Burger...I like the seating, and want to grab enough fry sauce, and like the food hot. Its not meant to drive home for 20 minutes and then eaten. 2 in our party ordered bacon cheeseburgers, I tasted it as well and liked it. Good flavor, and the bun stays dry (if you don't like any sort of soggy bun, this is a good choice). I ordered the chicken souvlaki, which had good flavor. 1 in our party got the classic crown burger, which was very tasty. The bun got soggy for the last 2 bites...but no complaints, because a very tasty burger with the pastrami. (Ive ordered this at several different restaurants other than C.B., and the same thing happens to the bun at all of them)The fries were great. Also tried the sweety potato fries got ther 1st time, which I'd get again. They're the crosshatch kind. The kings hawaiin buns were definitely a first and held everything together well. The hot dog is large enough that you may need to take a bite of condiments and hotdog separately. The hot chicken (ordered as hot) was not very spicy, so keep that in mind. The chicken seemed to be average QSR restaurant quality. I felt like 9 dollars for a hot dog was a little much, but it does have plenty of toppings and some fancy buns, so to each their own.“

“My wife and I have been wanting to try out the Local for a little while now. We finally made it there when wait times at other nearby restaurants were all over 1 hour. The design aesthetic in this place is beautiful, clean, and very enjoyable to take in. We enjoyed being able to get food from 3 different places and drinks at the bar and then take it to our table. The corned beef Reuben was 2/5. I think it was a little too soggy and lacked an additional flavor like more salt, or mustard, or the sauerkraut needed more of a punch. The steak quesadilla was 5/5 very good and the steak had great flavor! I ordered a beer which I though the pricing at $7 was reasonable. My wife got a margarita which was 2/5. We also got an M&M cookie from the coffee shop and it was super yummy. Every single person we interacted with was overly nice. These food halls are such a fun concept and it makes me sad to see that we were only 2 other groups in the building during peak hours on a Saturday while March Madness is in town. This is an awesome option if you have a larger group, didn't plan ahead and get a reservation, or are eating with people that have differing taste buds.“
