Love love love their ice cream. Their food is sub par at best. My husband and I waited 10-15 for our food. When my husband bit into his corn dog, it was frozen.I’d recommend this restaurant for ice cream and ice cream only.

I've been enjoying Neilsen's with my family for a long time. They are always an excellent choice for good food or dessert, the name can be deceiving as they are actually a diner! Turkey grinders are amazing and their fry sauce makes the meal sublime.I recommend above all their concrete, it isn't just for sidewalks anymore! They call their frozen custard with added ingredients concretes. It is so filling it might as well be a meal of its own and more reasonably priced than other restaurants these days.Parking: The spots here are somewhat limited during peak hours but most of the day there is plenty of parking or a drive through option.
We love the concrete ice cream. It is soo creamy and delicious! My favorite is during Christmas time when they make the peppermint flavor of the day!

We always love going to Nielsen's for a treat. A young man named Lucas who works there is always friendly to us and takes great pride in making great treats.

i've only had the frozen custard but i found it to be quite good. really smooth and creamy. the service is good and decently fast. i usually go thru the drive thru so i can't really comment on the ambiance but i will go back.
Visited Friday oct 20th at 5:01pm and were told they stopped serving food at 5..... I'm guessing the owner would not be happy as there were 6 employees there and no customers. If the policy is to stop serving food at 5 its a terrible policy.

Ordered food through the drive through and waited way longer than we should have after ordering. As we left there was nobody else in the parking lot. Not sure why it took so long. Extremely disappointed in the way our food was made. Couldn’t even eat half of it. Will not go back.

Sorry, but really yucky. ? The hamburgers and grinders were honestly disgusting (microwaved hamburger patty, warm slimy turkey meat next to avocado paste). We love the Nielsen's in North Salt Lake, but we won't be eating at this location again.
