Sub-Zero is so far beyond ordinary ice cream it's hard to believe they reside in the same universe. My fave is a retired flavor called 'fruity fusion' in the original base, and they kindly mix it up for me though it's no longer on the menu. The nitrogen is fun to watch and makes it freeze differently somehow--utterly scrumptious. The employees are really friendly and helpful here too. Sub Zero is not just an ice cream shop, but it's a full experience. You get to watch the cream get zapped with nitrogen and turned from liquid to a frozen concoction right before your very eyes. It's a treat for multiple senses. Today, my family and I embarked on an Ísbíltúr, a road trip designed to find ice cream, and we found ourselves here at Sub Zero. I’ll agree with what has already been said…this ice cream is so beyond “ice cream” that you’ll wonder what you were eating before. It’s so good. Whatever size you get…it wasn’t big enough. And then you’ll wonder how you ate the whole thing. It’s so good.
