“We celebrated a birthday at Matteo’s. It was one of the best food experiences we have had in awhile. The service was phenomenal from the moment we stepped in the door. We were greeted by friendly hosts, wishing us a happy birthday. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about various dishes. The food was complex, hearty, and filled with flavor. You could almost taste the effort that had gone into each dish. In addition each dish was an art piece within itself. Especially the white chocolate cheesecake dessert. We will most definitely be returning for other special occasions!“

“I have followed this place from Denver (my daughter lives in Salt Lake). Finally got to go today. They have samples!!! I was so impressed how friendly and knowledgeable the employee was. She described tastes and made suggestions. It was so much fun trying and bringing home 6 cookies. The oatmeal with cherries and apricots was like an amazing breakfast bar. They were all delicious. The best cookies I've ever had!“

“How server was amazing as was all staff we interacted with. Food was delicious as always. Was surprised the calamari was not fried, I didn't think to ask as it is served fried everything we order. “You have to try their stuffed French Toast. I am still dreaming about the lemon cream cheese filling. It only had a hint of lemon, but a whole lotta good everything else. The blueberry compote was delicious. It was super busy and I can see why. I can't wait to take my son who lived in Paris back to see what he thinks.“

“My family has eaten here several times and always loves it! Every dish we ordered at our last dinner was delicious and creative, but the standout for me personally were the lamb riblets!!! So soft falling off the bone and that caper chimichurri sauce is so good! Have to remove a star due to the service this time. Our food came out before drinks, and our server was strange and not very attentive. He even apologized for "the lackluster service." Overall would definitely recommend this gem for a fun Mediterranean dinner.“

“Awesome. Montain of Meat was amazing 23 inch way too much for 4 of us. The crust and sauce are fantastic, dipping the crust in honey or their homemade rancha must. Plus a Spicy Apocalyptdough Calzone. Just enough kick on the crust. The only complaint is the pitchers was a bit warm. Will be back.“

“I really enjoy stopping by Millcreek. Their coffee is really great and I appreciate the friendly staff. It’s really interesting to see the roasting happening, which also creates some nice white noise in the background. The tall ceilings, spread out tables, and natural light make it a very nice atmosphere it get work done.“

“The spiral croissants (lemon and raspberry) were delicious! Crispy texture and fluffy on the inside. The cream was thick and delicious (if ever so slightly sweeter than I’d like). My soy latte was perfect. Kiernan was a polite, lovely server.My only complaint was the side of ham was so tiny for the price.“

They have mashed potatoes, sweet potato hash, bread sticks and hummus, cauliflower, and much more. “Omg. Wish we had this type of bakery in Seattle. Visiting friends in SLC and stumbled upon this place. Latin owned. Love supporting local. Service is good. Pastries are to die for. In the pricier side here in Salt Lake, but you get what you pay for and this is our favorite pizza in Salt Lake (and that’s said coming from Manhattan).I’d recommend starting with a cheese pull-a-part, chicken Caesar salad if you want something semi healthy, and the Holy Shiitake Pie if you’re a fan of pesto and truffle.“

Salad was fresh tasting and it came with some green dressing and hot chili sauce! Super spicy but delicious. Nice and chill in there. Lady at the counter was super sweet and even brought my food to me. A little pricey but most food is nowadays. Definitely going back sometime in the future.Parking: Located south of 2100 South. Shares parking with a few other retail spaces and what looks like is the DIs parking lot. Pretty busy.“

“I bought 4 different cupcakes here to share with coworkers and WOW. We couldn't believe how good they were. The cake part was so moist and the frosting was perfect. The cupcakes weren't over sweet, they were just right which made you want to eat one more! There are many cupcake options to choose from and they have other sweets that look really good. “Great date night, unique place to take guests and plenty of space yet private enough to have conversation or bring the whole family. The owner/ chef was knowledgeable, entertaining and friendly. The shelves had in season/ fresh produce. The sea bass and chicken dishes were amazing. It was beautiful presented. Very reasonably priced. We are already looking forward to going back. Also classes are taught there and you can buy sauces and spices.“

“We visited this place twice during one week stay in SLC. The staff was so friendly and patient while we were trying to place an order while with our toddler. We had lavender latte and cafe mocha both times, and tried several food items - Jalapeno Cheese Biscuit, BlackBerry Raspberry Scone, Almond Croissant, Bacon Quiche and Olive Oil Loaf. They were all tasty and stayed fresh even the next day. We were so happy about this find, we told our family and friends who were also in SLC and they loved it so much they went three times during their one week stay in SLC. Highly recommend - great drinks and food, spacious and clean space, and great service.Parking: There is some street parking that is free.Kid-friendliness: It is very spacious and has lots of tables/chairs/seats. They had one highchair available which we used without getting in the way of people in the cafe.“

“Alchemy Coffee was a great place to grab some coffee in the morning. We tried out some of their Spring 2024 specialties when we visited. My husband got the Spring Break which was a coconut and caramel latte and was really tasty with the perfect amount of sweetness. I got the May Flowers which was a matcha latte with violet and white mocha, but added in a shot of espresso since it originally didn't have any. It was a great matcha latte with good, strong flavor.“

“Beautiful location inside the trolley center and we had views out to the mountains. The salad bar was well stocked and several meats were served regularly. Brazilian pineapple lemonade was amazing. The garlic sirloin was super tender. But the grilled pineapple is the best!! Apparently I was more in the mood for that than meat today! I probably ate a whole pineapple!! Make sure you get the outside caramelized pieces at least a few times! Also the servers were great because they knew our table was all about the pineapple so when they brought it out they headed straight for our table. Several people had birthdays and it was fun to clap and dance in your seat to the drums. Definitely a fun place to take anyone.“

“I ordered online to pickup a cake for one of my besties. When walking in for the first time I immediately loved the atmosphere. It was so clean + so cute! I felt welcomed and although I hadn’t noticed I arrived 5 mins earlier than the scheduled pick up time I didn’t mind waiting for the cake to be ready. Not only did they apologize but made sure to make it right by allowing me to pick out a small cake that was on display for “the inconvenience of waiting” it was the nicest thing. “I was promptly greeted by friendly staff. The meat was super fresh as was the guacamole. The broccoli was amazing. The jalapeños and carrots were fresh and so was the cilantro. The steak was super flavorful and I am incredibly satisfied for the quality and flavour of food for the price point.“

“I have Zao’s at least once a week and they never disappoint. Delicious, fresh and simple ingredients. I love it!I wasn’t feeling well and was craving their rich broth but couldn’t pick it up myself, so I used DoorDash, but couldn’t add a special request, so I call the store and asked to have more broth on my soup and less meatballs, I really just wanted broth and noodles. The lady whom I spoke with was very kind and offered to still send me the meatballs but on the side in case I want to eat the later, I wish I had gotten her name. And to my surprise there was a sweet note in the bag that read “feel better soon! “Very thoughtful and kind. Above and beyond service and the food as always delicious.“

“Stone Ground has fantastic bread products. Since it is changed hands in the past year or so there have been price increases. The factory store prices for overages and products is a lot different. I feel like it has lost that original “owner” feel.“

“Love this spot. Apps in particular are always good. Cocktails are delicious. Beer selection on point. However, the way they serve beer is disappointing, especially considering the care they clearly put into selecting imports and interesting beers to serve. Belgians, IPAs, Saison, etc are served in a Boston shaker pint glass. For such an elevated atmosphere and dining experience, I would expect them to use proper glassware to serve their brews.“

“Everything in the buffet was quite good, and they had a decent selection. Covered the bases for me, though I would've preferred a different dahl. Just my personal preference.I particularly loved the tandoori chicken. It was so tender and moist. Not dried out at all, like is so often the case with buffets. And their goat curry was also phenomenal. Highly recommend this one for the buffet.“

“I think I may be addicted, y'all. Santorini's has high-quality food with yummy ingredients and great customization options. Think of a build-your-own burrito place, but Greek. (They have premade stuff if you don't want the ambiguity of customization.) Yummy pita, delicious chicken, and their garlic fries are perfect. I usually get to-go but their dine-in experience is also nice and clean. Love eating here and would highly recommend you give them a try.“

“Took a bestie here for lunch for his birthday as he was craving crab cakes. The service was great. we started off with the crab cakes, they were good. And the bread plate, focaccia and butter were amazing!!! For mains we both had fish and chips. The other sauce options for the fish were great, fries were yummy, don't forget to ask for the vinegar!“

“Sawadee is a great go-to restaurant for Thai food in Utah. I think it is pretty good, though it doesn't quite match up to the newer Thai restaurants I've tried!! Either way, their food is great, the ambiance is fun with the Thai decor, and their staff is very friendly. This restaurant is very consistent.“

We were on date night and managed to snag 2 seats without a reservation, but definitely suggest making a reservation (and we will going forward). We've been Utah residents for a little over a year and this was probably our favorite meal so far! We will absolutely be coming back.“
