The seats are nice and comfy and the restaurant is cleaned every single night. The restaurant feels very tropical and safe. “I see why there is long a wait here every night. The food we had today was spectacular! We've experienced Tex-Mex in Austin and Cal-Mex in Southern California. Red Iguana more than holds it own against those two famous areas of the country for Mexican cuisine. This place looks like a hole in the wall from all the stickers on the door and windows, but don't let those fool you. This establishment serves up world-class Mexican food. This is a must visit restaurant in Salt Lake City.“
“If you like Italian food then you have to visit this restaurant in SLC! We went there twice during our 4 day stay. The service was great and so was the food! For appetizers I recommend the whipped Brie and carpaccio. The bread service was also so yummy! As for the entrees we got the risotto, brasato braised beef, truffle pasta which were 10/10. The filet Mingon was also tasty but could use a little bit less salt. Ravioli al Funghi is vegan and also tasted very fresh. As for dessert I would recommend the tiramisu! Honestly everything was flavorful 10/10 recommend.“
“I have followed this place from Denver (my daughter lives in Salt Lake). Finally got to go today. They have samples!!! I was so impressed how friendly and knowledgeable the employee was. “Man o man this place is fanominal!!! I know it's an upbeat place but the experience you get here is fantastic. The longest I've had to wait is like 10 min. I love the valet parking and everything. It's awesome. Places like this you should look nice and presentable however I've seen several times people coming in wearing gym clothes or attire that I don't think is suited for this establishment however they've never judged and still treated you as if you were a millionaire! The food has always been Michelin star rated and I've never been disappointed. I'm very greatful that they know it's your birthday or anniversary and give you a personal experience. “I found Gourmandise while searching for a gluten free bakery in downtown Salt Lake City. To my pleasant surprise, they also serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Although they aren't a dedicated gluten free facility and there is risk of cross contamination, the waitress took the time to confirm that my food choices would not contain gluten, soy, or beef. I had the grilled salmon and it was delicious! The buerre blanc sauce was silky smooth and had just the right blend of flavors. For dessert, there were several gluten free options and I selected the flourless chocolate cake. It was very rich and satisfied my sweet tooth! I'll likely try an additional dessert or two before I leave town. I would definitely eat here again!Dietary restrictions: They have several menus online for dietary restrictions (gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan). I had many gluten free options from which to choose, although some had a high risk of cross contamination due to the fryer. “We visited this place twice during one week stay in SLC. The staff was so friendly and patient while we were trying to place an order while with our toddler. We had lavender latte and cafe mocha both times, and tried several food items - Jalapeno Cheese Biscuit, BlackBerry Raspberry Scone, Almond Croissant, Bacon Quiche and Olive Oil Loaf. They were all tasty and stayed fresh even the next day. We were so happy about this find, we told our family and friends who were also in SLC and they loved it so much they went three times during their one week stay in SLC. Highly recommend - great drinks and food, spacious and clean space, and great service.Parking: There is some street parking that is free.Kid-friendliness: It is very spacious and has lots of tables/chairs/seats. They had one highchair available which we used without getting in the way of people in the cafe.“

The cauliflower wings are just roasted cauliflower… tasted great but why call them wings? The green curry is bomb as well. Also server was wonderful. Cool industrial interior as well. Pricey as hell though, almost no entrees are under $20. Cheapest I saw was $19, most were $21+. The Canyon pizza was flavorful and perfectly cooked, while the Halibut was tender and flavorful. “I was very impressed with Sawadee’s service, they got us in right when we walked in. The food came out faster than I expected and the portions really made the price more than worth it. I love it!I wasn’t feeling well and was craving their rich broth but couldn’t pick it up myself, so I used DoorDash, but couldn’t add a special request, so I call the store and asked to have more broth on my soup and less meatballs, I really just wanted broth and noodles. The lady whom I spoke with was very kind and offered to still send me the meatballs but on the side in case I want to eat the later, I wish I had gotten her name. And to my surprise there was a sweet note in the bag that read “feel better soon! “Very thoughtful and kind. Above and beyond service and the food as always delicious.“

We shared Spanish octopus and grilled carrots for appetizers for table. We also got bottles of wine and two orders of bread for the table. My friend got branzila ( I think this is how to write the fish name, it was not in the menu), I ordered the fish stew and other friend orders the scallop and all of them were very yummy. Don’t plan on sharing any main dish or don’t plan to have leftovers. Portions look ok and I thought I was full when left the restaurant but I was still feeling hungry after. “My daughter and I ate at J Wongs on our final day in Salt Lake City. This place is very good! This was our first experience with a robot food delivery server!! Very cool technology and it made for a memorable experience! The food was very good and the portions were very generous. I had the Drunken Noodles and my daughter had the sesame chicken. Both were excellent and service was spot on! Skip the egg rolls, they were dry and not great. Regardless, We will be back!!“

Also classes are taught there and you can buy sauces and spices.“
