“We ate the most creative and divine food last night at Communal. The portions are big and they are for sharing. The new summer salad with fresh peaches and corn was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. The blend of flavors was absolutely amazing. Had I known how delicious it was beforehand I would have just ordered that for dinner. My husband and I shared the Greek chicken, crispy fingerling potatoes and roasted carrots with pistachios. Wonderful homemade rolls were served while we awaited our dinner. Everything is freshly cooked so plan to enjoy a wonderful, scrumptious and leisurely dinner. Wish we had time to go back and try some other dishes. Everything was presented beautifully and the service was excellent. A divine dining experience!”

“We love Happy Sumo! The food was delicious. The service was impeccable! The atmosphere is spot on. It's nice that they have some secluded tables, so it feels like you're the only ones there. Their sushi bar is beautiful and it's fun to be able to watch their chefs make the sushi rolls. Their Tuna Tatake is the BEST I've EVER had!! Their lettuce rolls are also top notch!

We went on a special deal they have on Sundays with many items being buy one get one free. Being able to get sushi for four adults with appetizers and entrees for a hundred bucks was quite a bargain!!”

I didn’t realize how much my group would order, we made sure to add tips to our checks. I greatly want to thank the cook and the kind lady that took our order. She was very understanding and patient. She knew exactly what to recommend to new comers. And even acknowledged that it was my little sister’s birthday and wished her a wonderful day. The workers did such a great job with the food and time management. I have ordered door dash from this place several times and it is definitely one of my favorite places of food choice. “Best pizza in Utah County and I'm not sure it's all that close. Cheese Sticks and ranch are absolutely amazing, I love the pepperoni and breakfast bacon pizza as well. I recommend Two Jack's Pizza to everyone I talk to. I eat there far more often than I should. I have never had to wait long for an order. I used to joke when COVID began that if push came to shove I would singlehandedly keep Two Jack's in business. There is truth in all jest. Two Jack's is a wonderful establishment. Just writing about it brings me joy.”

“The food here was great, and the portions were good! Their mango lemonade was delicious, and the cups were huge. I've never seen a Hawaiian Hot Dog before, but you can't beat a hot dog stuffed with tender pulled pork. I loved the live music!”

“I can't say exactly how many times my family and I have ordered food from Spicy Thai.
Everything there is so authentic and amazing. Spices used for their dishes are fresh and flavorful and the dishes they create are even better.

They also have an amazing lunch special that is more than enough food for one person and at a very reasonable price. There are four dishes that we absolutely love and highly recommend to anyone who wants to go on ledge and try something new:
Madman Curry (we get it mild), Tom Ga Khai Soup, so creamy and tangy, Pad Thai with chicken, also extremely good with lots of bean sprouts and green onions and last their pineapple fried rice with Shrimp.
We've had a lot of different dishes there but these are my favorite.
The service is alway fast, friendly, and the food always comes out hot and fresh.
If you haven't tried Thai food yet, try this place, it won't disappoint.”

Pretty good selection of Mexican food. It's put together well and given the fact that you are on top of a mountain, it's good food. They have a good selection of drinks as well. The ride to the top in the fall is amazing. View at the top is even better”

“We ate here with three generations and everyone was happy. Skip the rice and get two orders of beans (or just one order, but you have to get the beans). No matter what, order something with cheese (quesadilla or Gringas tacos) because they use the authentic Mexican cheese that’s hard to find in the States. I felt the proportions-to-price ratio was awesome (the burritos are huge) and we left with leftovers. I LOVE that they keep all the condiments separate so if you like soapy cilantro you can add that or skip it like a civilized person. Extra points for having cruditos! We were too full to order dessert but the flan looked good.”

The elote was so creamy, warm, and flavorful. The churros were perfection. I tried the strawberries and cream, chocolate, and coconut ice creams and they were the right amount of sweet, but not overwhelming so it allowed the feature flavor to shine. It is obviously Monday so it was bad just because of that but I added a whole host of other 'fun' things' just in case I needed something extra. I missed my alarm, missed my exit on I-15, late for work/missed a meeting, make-up not done and what was done was trash, the list goes on... Needless to say, I had the worst morning E V E R!! I NEEDED Dutch Bros. in my life FOR sure today! So, I pull up and this nameless, very cute, gentleman working the window met me with an amazing smile and gratitude for coming 'in' this morning. He asked how my day was thus far and I let him have all of it; the alarm, the exit, my make-up - all of it! He didn't seem rushed, he never took his eyes away from me to look at the, I am sure, was a very long line behind me, he didn't seem or appear to be any sort of hurry to get me the hell out of the line. He just listened and .... took it upon himself to do what he could do to make my life better this morning. He listened with grace and compassion. I want him (and his boss) to know how amazing that was and just how much I appreciated him for taking time with me and proceed to help in a way that he could help - essentially, this crazy stranger - have a better day - and he was successful!! If anyone knows this man's name, I would love to call him out directly. Thank you 'Dutch Bros. Hero of the Day' - you are the reason I choose DB over everyone else! - xoxo”

We were met at the door by a wonderful guy who introduced us to their amazing homemade tamales. We ended up ordering a half dozen after trying their Red Chile Beef, which was absolutely delicious. Very sweet corn tamales but they are fantastic. I’d love to see if the people giving out one star reviews have traveled outside Utah… If someone finds a better tamale in Utah let me know!”

“Co-Located with Guru's Cafe in Provo, it shares some of the same aesthetics. I "checked in" on YELP at Guru's when we had dinner there and was "rewarded" with a coupon for a "free cookie" from Enliten Bakery. Normally, I don't accept gifts or discounts from places I review unless it is a printed coupon anyone can use and this offer seemed close enough to that standard to give it a try. Also, living hundreds of miles away there was not likely another opportunity to use it later. Generally, my view is if I wouldn't buy something, getting it for free with a coupon is "no great deal." It was a busy day for the hard working crew at Enlighten and Guru's and it was also within an hour of their closing. After enjoying a very good dinner I went to the bakery counter to find out what my coupon could redeem? They had a single peanut butter cookie left which had a corner broken off, some sugar cookies, and some gluten-free cookies, one each of chocolate chip, the other was Snickerdoodle. Of all of these the broken peanut butter cookie was the most appealing to me and sugar cookies the least. I also thought to myself I'll take "the damaged one" so they can sell the others. The nice lady grabbed it with tongs and just add she tried to put it in a bag with them the cookie fell to the floor. She was mortified. She asked if I wanted a suggest cookie instead and I explained that would not go over well with my wife who would be sharing it with me. She then offered the two remaining gluten-free cookies, which I accepted. The grace she handled this with is more noteworthy than the cookies. They were good, even two days later when we enjoyed them with decaf enhanced with a little Irish Cream back at home. The bakery also had Sweet Potato Cheesecake which really intrigued me but I didn't have room for after our meal from Guru's and our would not have kept well during our drive back to Cheyenne the next day. While we were still a at the bakery, I "checked in" on YELP and... got another coupon for a "free cookie". The next time were there I'm not going to use it. Instead, I'm going to leave room for desert and try a slice of that Sweet Potato (or some other) cheesecake. 😁 Bon Appétit 😀”

“I was on-campus today doing a photo shoot for an old friend and classmate from BYU and for old times sake, we grabbed a bite at the Cougareat. This place has improved by 500% since the last time I stopped in for a meal...which was in 1996, the year I graduated. It’s great to see all of the franchise offerings along with BYU food services options. I’m not a fast food patron on the outside so I skipped it here also and went straight for a salad but if I was still a student at BYU, I would be stoked to have some comfort food available w/o leaving campus. Nicely done BYU! PS: The plethora of soda offerings with caffeine is the cherry on top. 😁👍🏻”

I've had the opportunity to see JJ Burger from a different perspective. I work on restaurant equipment from time to time, and every now and then I'm treated to a meal while I'm there.

Recently, they asked me to try JJ Burger's **Sweet & Spicy Burger**.

I'll be honest—I was skeptical. I'm a burger guy, but I don't usually enjoy spicy food. This burger completely changed my mind. It had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy without either flavor overpowering the other.

**You gotta try it!**

I can't fully describe the flavor—you really have to experience it yourself. The burger was juicy, packed with flavor, and tasted like it had been made fresh just for me. The fries were crisp, the portions were generous, and the whole meal felt like it was prepared with genuine care.

In fact, I wanted my wife to try it as well. I was fully prepared to buy another burger for her, but the owner wouldn't let me pay. Instead, I simply gave him a discount on the repair I was doing. That's the kind of mutual respect we've built over time.

One advantage of working on restaurant equipment is that I get to see what most customers never do—the kitchen. I see how clean it is, how the food is prepared, and the attention to detail that goes into every meal. I've personally watched the owner cooking alongside his staff, even though they are more than capable of handling everything themselves. That says a lot about the pride he takes in the food he serves.

I've eaten at plenty of burger places over the years, and JJ Burger is one of the few I genuinely look forward to visiting again. Seeing what happens behind the scenes gave me confidence in the food. Tasting it confirmed it.

If you're looking for an honest, great-tasting burger in Utah County, I can wholeheartedly recommend JJ Burger in both Provo and Orem. Give the **Sweet & Spicy Burger** a try—you might be as pleasantly surprised as I was.”

“First time in this restaurant. Let me tell you how it went.  Let’s start with it was pretty much empty. Was around 9pm. They close at 10Pm. It’s in Provo, Utah in Riverwoods. The cashier lady was polite and helpful. Choose the 3 plate option. They said that they have an award-winning ribs so I had to try it. •The ribs were good. Well cooked •The mashed potato was unbelievably good. It had garlic taste. But not too strong, just right. •The coleslaw was pretty good. I don’t really like coleslaw, so I was very satisfied. It had a crunchy texture that I enjoyed. •The sausage was slightly spicy. And juicy. •The brisket was unbelievably soft and tender They have four type of sauce on the table, so you get to choose from a mustard sauce flavor, spicy sauce, and sweet barbecue and original barbecue. It was getting late, so the lady came to our table and asked if we were done with our food and I told her we weren’t and then she was very nice to bring us a box to go, and told us to go from the other exit because the other door was closed. Yes, I felt a little pressured, but it’s also because they were about to close so I am understandable, but I still had a great time even though all of that situation happened. I would definitely go back and I won’t order the sausages because that was not my favorite but everything else I would. Let me know what you think when you go try it ”

“I use the drive-thru pickup on most my visits. I love how much more organized their drive-thru is compared to most other restaurant’s 2 lane drive-thru’s. There is another checkpoint after your order is taken to verify order with vehicle. Cars rarely cut in because that second check stops them. Love the food and the organization outside the restaurant!”

“I worked at this sizzler some 20 plus years ago. I was a server. I miss my customers and coworkers. This was the absolute best place I've ever worked. I now people have been a little off recently due to the covid pandemic, but as a long time employee of this company, 14 years of service, I'm still a big fan of Sizzling Plater Inc. I guarantee once this pandemic is behind us, You will see a strong healthy great group of people I've ever met will be back.
