From staff and security attitude to operational procedures, Sky is the worst venue in Salt Lake and on a downward trajectory in patron experience.Recently the new owners have opened up guest list beyond reasonability, resulting in the crowds you see in other reviews here. As a guest list patron, I have been turned away at the door after waiting 30-45 min not once but twice, both after security told me that my place in line was before the 10:30 cutoff. More recently, the box office ladies began yelling at me and accusing me of lying even after the security guard came and explained their mistake. I was polite and did not refuse to leave, but the ladies were extremely rude and would not admit their mistake. I will only ever come here again if it is a top 5 artist that I am absolutely dying to see, and I hope that never happens.

The place has got worst and worse over the years and now It doesn’t matter what artist is playing I refuse to go. I get it’s a business at the end of the day but they simply don’t care about the customers experience anymore and they simply just want to sell as much alcohol as they can. They’ll let in as many people at the end of the night as they can on guestlist. I’ve had to leave many times because you simply can’t even dance unless you have a table in VIP. The place is a joke now and hopefully DJ start going to other Venus instead of Sky

If you ask me if I recommend this nightclub, the answer is NO. Yesterday I went with some friends and we had to leave immediately after the bad experience we had thanks to the bully attitude that one of their security men had inside with us, by mistake I stumbled upon these things that they use to separate the VIP area from the general area and this man basically started kicking my partner and I's feet, obviously I took the attitude of not moving and asked him to stop hitting our feet and what I received was an intimidating scream very close to my face and word 'MOVE'. His hateful face was so real that I felt like he was going to easily push or hit me regardless of the fact that I am a woman and he is a man who is three times my size. I want to clarify that I was not even under the influence of alcohol, I was super sober and even very bored because the DJ is very bad, but that is not the case.I recommend that you NOT go to this place and if you are a woman, this place is not safe for you.

Physical violence was threatened against me by their lovely security while I was on the sidewalk. Public property mind you.Parking: Literally none, you have to park pretty far away and walk to the location.

Self-important security with random rules. It was “collared shirt night” and we were able to give security $20 to forget about me not having a collared shirt. I think we paid about $70 for each of us and then $70 more to get on the rooftop which was such a bore. It was just a smaller area with a smaller DJ setup and expensive drinks. The security is overwhelming and essentially any of them can get paid off.I feel like the security is all veterans just waiting for an excuse to try and rough you up. We got bored on the roof and left to go to a dive bar that had a more comfortable setting. You walk in and hit the bar, there’s a very small pathway you can shove through people to get to the stage which is surrounded by hundreds of spectators. No matter how many “therapy Thursday” cheap catchphrases you come up with, after my last few experiences here, I’d never go back.

Went here the other day to go to a show, and before I could get a pat down, the guy doing the searches groped me several times in inappropriate places (I am a male) and then proceeded to kick me out when I addressed it. The staff is a complete joke.

Sky SLC Club Review:night clubI attended Lunay's performance at Sky SLC Club, a relatively small venue where the sound setup left something to be desired – there was noticeable echo throughout the performance. Despite the acoustics, Lunay's presentation was commendable, showcasing his talent. However, it's worth noting that the artist took the stage only for a brief 30-minute set, and this occurred quite late in the night. The discrepancy between the advertised 8 pm start time and the actual 12:15 am performance was a disappointment.Rating: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)Sky SLC Club Review:I attended Lunay's performance at the Sky SLC Club, a relatively small venue where the sound setup left something to be desired, as there was a noticeable echo throughout the performance. Sky is soooo fun, the lights & production are a 10/10, as well as the sound. I love the variety of artists they bring in, & you can either choose GA & go to the bar, or choose VIP & get private table service.

The location is cool, parking very closeby, but the advertising is verrrrry deceptive. If you are looking to see the headliner, you would be better off getting to the club late. Like way late. What Sky needs to do if they are going to bring big names is advertise when they will be playing, and include the openers times as well!!! The openers deserve some love too. But for the headliners, go late and don’t expect to be home before 4.

I love so much that every night at sky is a different, great vibe!I love to go to lots of genres and Sky fulfills that need. Their staff is amazing, especially Nikki ♡EDM vibes are pretty cool and the people are typically PLUR fam. ✌️ ❤️ ?? Hip-Hop can get a little crazy fun...maybe a little handsy ?The security is on top of safety and I always feel like the one dude (I can never remember his name) ALWAYS makes sure that the ladies and guys are partying safe. ?I am grateful they always have free, fresh water ? in the back - coldish and filled - with cups. The staff promotes safe, friendly fun.The balcony is cool when it gets hot.Sky rooftop is a vibe too.Requests:I wish that1. They'd stay open later, maybe wayyyy later ? and2. They'd open a few types of rooms with different genres to go to and from...one or two nights a month. Maybe silent disco? A white party event? Let me know. I have my degree in Marketing and Events! I'd love to help be a part of the team ?Tickets ? are typically pretty inexpensive, especially if you buy early or get on a guest list on a guest list night (maybe you can ask them pretty please to be added ? ).By FAR..... Sky is my FAVORITE SLC NIGHTCLUB ☆I hope you stay open forever! Thanks for the vibes guys! ♡

I love having a spot in SLC that plays amazing music, brings in good artists that I actually would love to see, and a spot to dance and have fun with friends and strangers alike. Sky definitely was one of those at one time. However, lately they seem to only care about packing the place as much as possible. They are over selling the amount of tickets that should be available, and making it only slightly enjoyable if you purchase a table so then you can actually have some breathing room. Tables can go $5K+ just fyi if you’re interested. I have been to a lot of shows at Sky and I’ll happily pay more per ticket to have them not sell 200 ish tickets so I can move about the venue and enjoy my night. (Not kidding when I say the shows there recently have been too packed for you trying to get to the restroom or hell the bar if you wanted to give them more money) I hope Sky see’s this and others posting about such nights and steps their game up.

I've been a long time attendee of Sky and I used to love it here but lately they have gone down hill. Seems like all they care about now is selling as many tickets as possible to make as much money as possible that they don't care about people having an enjoyable experience. If the show is sold out or close to it, expect having no room to dance whatsoever or literally even move. I would happily pay more for my ticket if they would just sell like 150 less tickets so that people could have room to dance and enjoy their night. I really hope they switch up the way they have been doing things because I feel they are soon going to lose a lot of loyal customers.
