“We always love coming to LaCosta. It’s been our favorite Mexican restaurant for more than a decade (maybe two!) the Carne Asada is delicious. Isobel, our server, was attentive and sweet. The service overall is always the best!“

“Absolutely amazing food and wonderful service. Both times I have been there, the waitress has been friendly, patient, and attentive. The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. But the food tops it all! Close to authentic flavors and great ingredients. The menu has food ingredients and descriptions in English, so don't be afraid to try something new.“

“When we first came to Utah in Aug 2020 we asked around and most people said there were not many good Mexican restaurants on SLC. Being from Southern California we know good Mexican food given the large Latino population. When we got a recommendation for El Gallo Loco, in Sandy of all places, we were skeptical but decided to go check it out. The words AMAZING do not even describe it. Alberto is super nice, friendly, and really helped us to pick dishes we thoroughly enjoyed. He is super humble about the place, and really took the time to find out what types of food and flavors we liked, and made recommendations which did not disappoint on any level. Their Tortilla soup is hands down the BEST we have ever had, and we’ve had a lot. Their chicken - WOW. Marinated and tender in any dish - tacos, burritos, fajitas - even just the chicken. They have 3 authentic salsas - the green sauce on burritos is so good we thought about it all week !! Chips are perfect - not greasy at all. Good range of drinks, beer, wine , margaritas and even horchata - if that’s not authentic I don’t know what is. This is one of our GO TO places for sure.“

“The rice is so freaking good! This was our first time getting food here, and I now have high expectations. Because it all was that delicious! We got the Carne Chumichangas with rice and beans. Even the beans were delicious. The Chimichanga was so good that my son wanted another one. If you've had Rancheritos, this is waaaaay better! We definitely recommend it.“

“Pollo Loco has the absolute best tasting chicken of any fast food, or even dine in restaurants. The way it’s prepared is perfect and it always tastes fresh and healthy. Love this place!“

“I never had a bad meal or experience here yet. The waitress, Jessica is the BEST. The only thing is apparently they close at 8 p.m on Sunday and google says 8:30 p.m. I felt bad being there a few minutes past closing time. They work hard and have been there all day and deserve to get things wrapped up and go home to their families.“

“I work night shift, we order from this location a lot. Their birria tortas and burritos are the best. The street tacos are always best for hungry co-workers. Would have given a 5 star, but they don't send enough cups of salsas( like 2 in individual orders)...bummer!!“

“The enchiladas are delicious, and if you haven’t tried the horchata, you are missing out! Really friendly employees and clean, inviting atmosphere. Love this place.“

“Burritos are super flavorful! Adding the tator tots is just brilliant. I highly recommend. My coworkers and I order them often. One single downside, they charge for sauces and 9 times out of 10 you don’t receive them in delivery. Definitely try this place!! Just use your own sauce haha“

“Love the food here! Only disappointment was ordering a side of beans to go with my kids quesadillas and having them be half the size they used to! Beans are cheap! 3/25/22 they've done a touch of remodeling to accommodate pick up orders. Just moved the drinks. Prices have gone up like everything else, portions down. I think the employees are new because they forgot to put everything on the nachos and forgot dressing on the tostada. Still really good food though!
1/31/24 I recommend going in to get your food. It's easier to order the family's preferences online and we were in a hurry tonight, but they didn't get everything right. We were short a niño quesadilla, which cost $1 now and are smaller than they used to be (but they do come with an orange slice which was a nice touch), and we had requested pico de Gallo on the side but realized when we got home there was none so that was sad. We love the pico there. But they did get the vegetarian and beans only (no rice) correct which was more important. It just took time I didn't have to go back in to get the missing quesadilla. Another helpful thing would be if they labeled which dish was which. We all got tostadas, mostly sweet pork, so we had to dig through to see which one had no rice, no meat, extra pico (they were all the same despite some ordering extra), etc. That was a pain in the car with no forks. They don't put them in the bag for you. It was my bad not noticing and grabbing them on the way out but it would be nice if they were put in the bag for me.
10/16/24 I forgot about this review and just read through it... They now have a sticker on each dish with all the details so you can tell which is which!! They also put utensils in the to-go bag as well! Don't forget to take advantage of their daily deals and 2x, 3x, and 4x points to get free food!
Kid-friendliness: Love the cheap quesadillas“
