“We found this place looking for an alternative to the trendy, overpriced, and overrated sushi places we typically go to in Salt Lake City.So happy we did. This place is a gem, with outstanding quality and attention to details, all at a reasonable price. The service was exceptional too.I did not try the ramen, but I strongly recommend the sushi / sashimi, which is possibly the best I have ever had. This is definitely worth the slightly longer drive, and we will come back.“
“Nami has a great variety of sushi rolls and entrees. I went here with 6 friends we split 6 rolls and 2 appetizers. It was delicious and the food came out fast. I loved the San Francisco roll.Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian rolls, appetizers, and entrees here.Parking: Standard strip mall parkingWheelchair accessibility: No steps with single standard size business door.“
“We came here for Sushi and it was very delicious! Our favorites were the Green Hornet, Utes, and Avenue but all the rolls we had were really good! We are always looking for good sushi places and we will definitely be coming back here again! ?“
“Their fried chicken sandwiches are so yummy but I just can’t justify $9 for 2 small sandwiches. Definitely wish either more little sandwiches for that price or lower the price. The fried rice is really good and noodles. Those are definitely priced correctly.“
“Toro Ramen and Sushi offered a delightful experience! The service was decent, and the ambiance was a plus--small, quaint, and charming, adding a cozy feel to the dining experience. While the ramen didn't quite match up to my California favorites, it held its own and was definitely a standout for Utah. The Japanese fried chicken was a crispy delight, and I'd eagerly order it again. As for the chashu ramen, it was wonderfully warm and incredibly filling and the egg was undoubtedly perfectly cooked in the ramen--a small touch that made a big difference in enhancing the overall experience. A spot definitely worth visiting for a tasty Japanese cuisine fix!“
“The menu is very diverse, ramen, Thai curry, Korean galbitang, AND sushi? And service is good - they work the front of house staff hard, but are rewarded in turn with great service.Food itself is not particularly memorable tho, which is always a hazard when your menu is so ambitious.Parking: Tons of parking.“
“The ramen soup is delicious, although they serve you less than the ones at One noddle, but it is good... The downside is that the menu has no price on many of the things it offers.... The good thing is that they always have beer and sake....“
“Absolutely amazing ramen bowls. You want a wonderful meal for a great price, look no further. Will be bringing everyone back.Dietary restrictions: I have several food sensitivities and allergies. I extras added that are NOT on the menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp right at the edge of the entrance. Flat floors inside.“
“Absolutely amazing, my significant other and I have tried many a place in regards to ramen. This is my first time finding a 10/10 place. All around deliciousness, will definitely come back before I leave salt lake!! I tried the spicy super ramen!“
“Updated review:We love the food here. They've expanded their menu and now have several vegan options, which is fantastic since my daughter is vegan and it's not easy finding restaurants we all like.I tried her vegan ramen with impossible meat last time we ate here, and it was amazing, with a true savory flavor. My son loves the spicy chicken ramen with a seasoned egg. I love the mini tuna tacos. The place is still cramped and very loud. They turn the music up, I think so you can't hear others' conversations, but it just means you can't hear your own conversation either. I'm not a fan of running elbows with strangers, but it's a small space so there's not much they can do.Original review:I'd have given this place 5 stars a year ago, because their ramen is fantastic, and they have a varied menu. But they're still closed for indoor dining! Their space is small, and the tables are crowded together, so it's probably not financially profitable to offer dine-in with social distancing. And yet every other restaurant has opened back up. We have safety protocols in place; people are getting vaccinated. There is no reason this place needs to remain closed. It's bad customer service. We got takeout ramen from them once during the pandemic, and the broth was cold by the time we got home. It also took forever to pick up because they're not well organized. If they don't open soon, I'm giving up on the place.“
“Pretty tasty ramen and other Japanese favorites in a cool little restaurant. Liked the decor and vibe, there is decent amount of seating inside and it actually filled up pretty quick for a weekday. I got the spicy tonkotsu which I enjoyed...pretty good for Utah. Service was a little slow, but friendly at the table. Will definitely be back on future trips.“
“Delicious rolls, smaller selection than some. Atmosphere is great, was nice enough for a nice date but casual enough for us girls after an evening ice skating to celebrate a child’s birthday. Service was slower than anticipated we were seated at the next table over from a rowdy crowd, I realize I had teen girls with me but it was a little much to be next over from like 10-12 rowdy 20-something’s when there was plenty of space to be a bit spread out. Birthday celebrating was cute and the ladies who helped us were really nice.“
“I love this place! I go at lunch and we are immediately seated. The food is fantastic. I love that I have the choice of sushi and/or Ramen. Their chicken katsu curry Ramen and their Kimchi Ramen are amazing! We needed a good Ramen house closer to us, and here it is. Others in the area aren't as good.“
“Ordered this place on doordash and it was outstanding! I'm looking foreword to going in person to see if it is the same or better! I ordered the spicy miso ramen and my husband had the kimcji beef ramen both were phenomenal with just the right amount of heat and wonderful flavors. Looking forward to trying again!“
“The food here was pretty good. It took us a while to get our food but when we got it it was pretty good. The location has plenty of parking and a wide variety of ramens to choose from, like probably at least like 8 that I could see on the menu. We also tried two of the appetizers and those were awesome too.Parking: Free lot.Kid-friendliness: There are forks and spoons if you don’t want to use chopsticks.“
“What a great find!Started with pork gyoza, served with a perfect citrus soy sauce. Neither was dominant, each highlighting the other. Very, very nice. But don't let the crispy gyoza sit too long and lose their delightful crunchiness. For those fans of thick noodles, don't be put off by the thin noodles I've highlighted here. Although thin, they're not overdone and mushy, but perfectly al dente. They must drop them into the flavorful broth at the last possible instant. And also, don't be put off by the large slab of chashu that appears dry sitting atop the bowl. Although not melt in your mouth perfection, it was among the best I've had, flavorwise. (I had the namesake Tonkotsu ramen).Their only flaw that I could see was they have no sake to accompany your meal. A small price to pay for such a nice bowl of noodles.PS: surprise guest of a whole boiled egg in your soup. Enjoy!“
“What One does better than other SLC ramen spots: (1) great sear on the chashu pork, creating a variety of textures from crunchy to melt-in-your-mouth tender, (2) perfectly cooked jammy eggs, not just half but one whole one!, (3) amazing marinade on the karaage, very gingery and moist thigh meat, (4) pleasant pace of service, (5) not as crowded as, say, JINYA. What could be better: richer tonkotsu broth.“
