Good choice for late-night food that isn't your standard bar menu

The place is ridiculously overpriced for food with such mediocre taste. $75 for a tiny combo of raw seafood and $38 for two tiny crabcakes (which is the worst I've ever had) and some extremely salty French Fries. In Florida I could get twice as much food (with much better taste) with half the price. It also appeared that they were kind of short staffed, although some servers there were trying to be nice. It's nice for them to try to accommodate us to outdoor seats, as it is very beautiful nearby.

It's a seafood place. But I was out with friends who made a reservation here. They had one choice of steak, which I enjoyed. Well done! However, it was much too noisy and to much light at that place. The service was great.

This is a well known and popular seafood restaurant (make reservations). Delicious food and great drinks. Pleasant service. Oyster happy hour - and they are awesome! Strongly recommend.

Came for a very simple lunch, the bar lady/ waitress was very friendly and accommodating. It was my first time trying Clam Chowder and I must say you’ve set the bar very high! The Bloody Mary was also delicious and the general atmosphere was very relaxed but efficient. Will definitely visit again if I come to Alexandria!

First of all, Kathy is awesome! Every time I've been before today was nice... Atmosphere, food, service! However, today was the worst $50 bucks I've ever spent on lunch. Almost didn't leave a tip!! The salty oysters was horribly small & so was the shot. It must be a shortage on salty oysters & tequila.

We had eaten at Hank’s in Charleston a few years ago and our experience at Hank’s in Alexandria was equally enjoyable. We started with oysters and clams on the shell, followed by shrimp and grits, ceviche and a side order of green collards. Everything was delicious. The chocolate mousse we shared at the end of our meal was average. We have had better. Overall, it was a great meal.

This place is very over priced and over hyped!!! We didn’t even order alcoholic drinks and it was still over $100 for 2 sandwiches and an appetizer. I cannot believe how overpriced this place is. Everything we had was below average food wise. We left still hungry. I don’t understand how the ratings r this high. Never would recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere else in Alexandria
