I’ve been here twice and it’s a great little shop. I have never preordered but that has not been a problem. Keep in mind that their products in store are kept frozen. For the savory pies they will reheat them for you in store or you can take them home and microwave or oven reheat. They still taste amazing, flaky crust and good flavors. My favorite is the steak and stout. The sweet pies are also really good! They currently have a monumental cherry pie (cherry, cream layer, and chocolate) and the salted caramel apple are my favorites! There is outdoor seating which I’m sure would be really nice in warmer months. Try it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Absolute ripper of a place. The owners are amazing! Love coming here everytime I feel like a taste of home. As an Aussie I can vouch that these pies are legit!

Excellent meat pies. Great to eat there, but taking them home frozen is the real sweet spot.

Kiwi sells delicious take and bake dinner pies for an affordable price. I will definitely be back for more.

Great service! The pies are a great reflection of New Zealand pies and are well made and delicious. Highly recommend!! You won’t be disappointed!

Read all the good reviews about this place and decided to visit. Wife and I went as soon as they opened up on a Saturday at noon and we were first customers. Young lady at the counter seemed pretty disinterested to be at work. We weren't greeted as we came in. The countertop case was 100% empty, coffee machine was off, nothing to drink but bottled water and they were not selling sweet pies by the slice, just whole pies. My whole game plan on getting 7 slices of sweet pie was shot dead. We ordered 3 savory pies. Took about 15 minutes, got our food and we left. Ate the pies shortly after and the crust on the roasted lamb pie was concrete hard. We paid approx $28 for our meal. Doubtful this place will ever see my wife and me again. Sorry. Can't recommend. Huge disappointment. Cheers and good luck.

I really wanted to like this place. I grew up on meat pies and had high hopes but sadly the pies weren't up to scratch flavor-wise and slightly bland. We had the Chicken Curry and Steak and Mushroom pies and were both underwhelmed. Great idea and I am hoping things turn around.

Nice little hidden gem. I typically splurge a bit when trying a new place and get half of the menu, and this place didn't disappoint. If you're a fan of pies with meaty (and some non-meaty) goodness, definitely worth a try.

Best meat pies in the DMV. I can find them at Whole Foods and the Farmers Market but going to the shop gives you a much bigger selection.

The ham, egg and cheese pie I got was delicious. I liked the plastic sheep outside the door too. Neat! The pies are frozen but they will heat them up for you. Pretty good stuff.

Stopped in to grab two hot pies to go, one steak/garlic/mushroom, and one butter chicken. Seriously delicious, rich gravy, fresh veg, perfectly cooked meat, and flaky crust. Heavenly! The staff person was very friendly too! Will definitely be back!
