I frequently visit the Shaw location, but ended up here due to the lack of service of another restaurant in the area. Immediately upon entering, the host was warm and inviting. Accommodated my large party and dietary restrictions. The server was kind, patient, and attentive. What impressed me most was the host communicated with the manager why we ended up at their restaurant and stopped by to check in on my experience. It's really the little things.The food is excellent and the atmosphere is fun and cozy.Thank you for providing a great dining experience.

We went to try the unlimited dinner and tasted a variety of dishes. Most of them were delicious, but a few needed the unique flavors of Balkan cuisine. The service was decent but slow when we wanted to order more. The restaurant itself was decent, but the tables were placed too close to each other.

We had a large reservation for about 21 people and were sat downstairs. Comparing my experience to Capitol Hill Ambar (where I also had a very large reservation of 30 people) Clarendon has a lot of improvement that needs to be done and has a lot to learn from that location.The first hour, it was the chef sending out food to our table and it was VERY unorganized! When they would bring dishes out, it wasn’t equally spread out amongst our group of 21.They would forget half the table and only put food on one side of the table. (these are small plates so it wasn’t like we could just pass it down) It wasn’t until I brought it to my servers attention that things started to get a bit better in terms of giving everyone food at the table and making the whole party feel included. For the $2,100 we would expect this to not happen and want everyone at the table to be satisfied!The next hour was when things got better as we were able to individually order items off the menuI will say our server was very understanding and do give her big props as this was out of her control. She handled the table well but it just didn’t feel as organized as the experience at Ambar Capital Hill. If you have a big party reservation of 15+, I can’t recommend the Capital Hill location enough. Please save yourself the trouble and don’t book Clarendon
