We ordered a calamari appetizer, the seafood fettuccine, and the seafood diavolo which were all amazing. Our total ended up being $93.50 when the check was brought out, we paid with card and tipped the waitress $40 in cash. However, a couple days later I noticed that I was charged $108.50 on my card, which was an extra $15. We thought did was weird, because we crossed out the tip line on the receipt and handed the cash tip directly to the waitress. We called the restaurant, the manager Frank apologized and refunded the $15. We requested a picture of the paper receipt that we signed. The manager sent us a Toast POS receipt with the itemized list where the tip said $15. They were not able to explain why or how there was an additional $15 tip added to our check that we did not sign for. The manager said something along the lines of "sometimes people forget to tip so we add the minimum to their check." That's illegal right? We requested a picture of our signed paper receipt again, and the manager stated that he was not able to find that copy, maybe it got lost or the servers misplaced it. It seems convenient he wasn't able to "find" our receipt because if he did find it, 1) it would show the tip line was indeed crossed out or 2) it would show $15.00 written over the crossed out line with the numbers changed, and in both scenarios that shows that an extra $15.00 was added illegally without our knowledge. Very sad to say that even though this was one of my favorite local places (food and service have always been great), I will not be returning in the future. I'm incredibly disappointed with the way this incident was handled, and it seems like this is a recurring issue where the staff will take it upon themselves to add a tip if one was not left on the card. Please note that this is not about the $15 that was charged, it's about the principle of the matter. This shows how the managers and owners run their business, and I can't help but wonder what other shady schemes are going on behind the scenes.
Never knew who our waiter was. Multiple people came to table. Pasta's marina and alfredo were bland and needed seasoning. Dessert and salad were average tasting. Food didn't live up to the hype of the reviews.

VERY KIDS FRIENDLY! Great food, gorgeous desserts. Very friendly staff and gorgeous ambiance. We arrived at 530pm and the restaurant was practically empty. By 630-7pm, it was PACKED! Highly recommend you make rsvn.

Mele Bistro has the perfect formula for an excellent dining experience: consistently professional service, excellent menu with many good options, and a nice ambiance. We go fairly frequently and the experience is good every time. Highly recommended-you won't be disappointed!

I’ve always loved coming here! Great seafood all fresh, you can really tell the quality is there. As someone who’s actually not a big fan of Italian this is somewhere I really enjoy frequenting. Recommend there scallop squid ink ravioli, calamari, and tiramisu. Only thing I’ll say is parking can be tricky so leave some time to find some if you’re coming here.
Many excellent choices for house-made pasta, fish, beef. We started with the roasted beet salad, followed by small plates of fish. Good to have the option of 'small plates,' as each was quite enough. And everything is offered in larger portions.

We just had dinner at Mele and it was phenomenal! We had a stressful day of traveling and the food hit the spot perfectly. The seafood fettucine was fresh and delicious, and our waiter was very friendly and personable. The owner even approached us, amidst his working on bathroom renovations, and made us feel like regulars. I would most definitely recommend Mele to anyone in the neighborhood!

The food tasted amazing (seafood was very fresh) and the service was very family like with a friendly atmosphere! Definitely going to be a regular here when I'm given the chance!

We had a work dinner here last night and had a truly lovely experience. The staff were extremely welcoming and patient with a group of people who were not very organized in our ordering decisions. The food was delicious, and they had amazing options with high quality food sources which made me feel good about eating out. I can tell this restaurant and their staff take great pride in serving real food and it showed up in the delicious meal they provided us. The calamari was mouthwatering, my colleagues enjoyed their fish and oysters, and the homemade pasta was perfect. And the fresh warm bread! Yum! We also enjoyed the terrific desserts especially the chocolate cake and key lime cheesecake. It's a beautiful and cozy restaurant. If you're looking for a high quality, delicious meal with attentive service go to Mele Bistro!
This restaurant really is beautiful! The ambiance is great, the customer service is top tier, and just overall a great experience. All of the staff even the owner checked on me both times I went and made sure we were satisfied with our experience! I will keep coming back here ❤️
Warm, welcoming, friendly, eager to talk about the menu. One of us likes her food spicy and they brought her spices from the kitchen. Exceptional fresh fish, nice cocktails, great wine list, reasonable prices- who could ask for anything more? Go! Enjoy!
Another great experience. Sea bass was excellent. French onion soup and fried calamari were very good. Owner is attentive and actually went across to the parking garage in an attempt to get our parking ticket validated when the 8n-house effort did not work out.
