I've come to this place a few times now and can honestly say it's one of my favorite places for coffee and breakfast sandwiches. The service is pretty straight forward nothing crazy but you're definitely getting a good cup of coffee. Also the blueberry muffins are pretty tasty too!

Coffee was below average, did not meet expectations. They have dine-in on weekends so my boyfriend and I sat to drink our two small coffees. At 1:45 they told us they were closing. Felt rushed and not nice, even though we only had two coffees to finish.

This place is a real treasure in Arlington. The blueberry muffins are the best. Please don't buy too many though, the rest of us who don't wake up at 7am need a chance at themPS. The coffee is a bit more caffeinated than the usual coffee shop swill in the DC area. You've been warned!

I adore Sense of Place Café! It’s an oasis in the Arlington Forest Shopping Center. It has amazing coffee and lattes, delicious treats, smoothies, even some cocktails. The décor is inviting with international pictures decorating the walls, really living up to its name. Best of all is local proprietor Kay Kim, a cheerful, welcoming host who greets all with a smile. Please ditch the cookie cutter coffee chains and give this local treasure a try!

The owner looks like oriental women didn’t let us use bathroom and then after we got the order she kicked us out said the store is takeout only which wasn’t written at anywhere inside or outside the store then why tables and chairs are still there? No wonder why there was no customer comes in for drink. I see this business looks like falling apart and hope to be closed soon. Coffee was so expensive costed me $12 for two cups coffee. Beware this place and never go here. Horrible Horrible attitude to the customer.

Ordered two americanos with a little milk. Instead I received 6 oz drinks topped up to the brim with 6 oz of milk, which of course only tasted like milk. I asked for help and was told by the server that I had ordered incorrectly. Apparently asking for "a drop of milk and leave a lot of room on top" means fill up the cup with milk. She was insistent. I waited 15 minutes for my sandwich and when the other server had made it, I told that server and she offered to replace the drinks but I was already late. One of the lids didn't fit the cup right and milk leaked all over my car drinks-holder/gear stick. I had spent $22 on two drinks + two breakfast sandwiches and tipped $4. The Bad: expensive, coffee that's actually milk, rude service, lids don't fit the cups. The Good: breakfast sandwiches were tasty.

We love Kim Seo and Kay Kim’s coffee shop, and are so psyched it’s in the neighborhood. The fact that the barista’s a chemist and they make their own coffee makes us appreciate it more.

Over priced and they added one dollar for syrup when I asked for hot milk. I will never go back there. How could you charge 5 dollars for a medium cafe Americano.I didn’t think you can be rip people off for coffee, even if you were located in Beverly Hills.

Best coffee in DC area. The owner is a chemist who does her own beans and takes all of the acidity out. Also amazing home baked blueberry muffins

The owner, Kay, was very sweet and polite. She was extremely accommodating when I ordered a coffee and received something unexpected. She served up a new latte very quickly and it was absolutely perfect - the right temperature and just the right amount of sweet. She clearly cares about the happiness of her customers.

Great lattes, especially the honey cinnamon! The owner/staff are very accommodating and made sure we were satisfied with drinks. Highly recommend and will be returning!

My husband and I are so happy to have found this place in our neighborhood! We've brought our co-workers and friends here because we had to share how awesome the coffee is :) My husband considers himself a coffee snob and he definitely gave them his stamp of approval! 100% would recommend

Finally got to try the coffee and breakfast here and all I can say is wow! The staff are so friendly and helpful. This is a woman-owned family business so love to support! We got two house lattes which were really delicious and not to mention pretty! I want to come back and try more of the house-roasted award-winning coffee. We also got two breakfast sandwiches. They just have their standard sandwich which is eggs scrambled with bacon, cheese, and an aioli spread on ciabatta. Oh my gosh, it was so amazing! Fresh and hot, super flavorful, and well seasoned. The pastries look really good as well, so will have to try them next time. They also serve lunch as well as some local wine and beer, and cocktail pouches to go! Can't wait to return and explore more of the menu!

I thought I'd stop by here today after eating at outback for dinner. It being a hot day outside the barista recommended a cold brew coffee. It had delicious flavor and was nice and strong (just how I like it). The barista was nice enough to add some filtered water to the cold brew and it tasted even better! I will definitely be back here and make it a frequent stop in my weekly routine! 5 stars!
