This place is just amazing. I keep coming back every time in in Arlington. Great brunch spot with very reasonable prices. Food is excellent and drinks are great!

At least based on my lunch experience, I'm surprised WJ's Tavern is rated so lowly. I loved the salmon wrap...and they even asked how we wanted our salmon done (and mine was perfect medium-rare which is my usual test of the kitchen's attention to detail). It's a great wrap with wasabi slaw poised against the strong salmon flavor with other delicious bits thrown in...but lunch also includes a wide choice of excellent sides (mine was the fine side salad and my companion's elote corn was great, too, served on two short corn cobs). Service was friendly, if a tad slow (it was an off-hour lunch) and the tavern is a cozy place to hang out. There's a great central TV bar with some hunky slinging drinks and working hard. The sour cherry pie and ice cream for dessert was also delicious. Cheap, no; but I'd go back for that salmon wrap ASAP.

Gotta come here for their $20 taco Thursday deal!!! It’s delicious and has a wide variety of meats and topping options, including stuff you can eat on the side like Spanish rice! They have a $5 margarita deal at the same time too, but I don’t think that’s as worth it since there are definitely tastier options. Their regular cocktails are not worth the price in my opinion, you can finish them in 2 sips. The beer is fairly priced though and they have lots of specials depending on the day to help out with price. Love the fire in the place too. Looking forward to coming back

Hosted our elopement celebration here and it was fantastic! The manager, Kevin was so helpful and accommodating to our set up and our hostess Tracy was top notch! We had our own semi private space set up for our guests and a good time was had by all. I would highly recommend this for group events. Everyone loved the food as well and the wait staff was so helpful in giving me extra napkins so I didn't get any of my tacos on my wedding dress. I would have had more pictures but I was having fun.

Came in today around 2:30pm-3:30pm for St Paddy's. Bartender dude ignored me. Another employee had to tell him I was trying to order. Then I went to a hostess and got a table. I sat there for 30 minutes, trying to order food and a drink or two. Two or three different servers walked past me outside, ignoring me no matter how obvious I was trying to make myself. Finally Vanessa asked me if I had been helped. So I ended up ordering two guinness, one Irish whiskey smash (had almost no whiskey in it), a half dozen of oysters, an Irish coffee, and Reuben spring rolls to go. Vanessa was very attentive to me. For that I was grateful. I tipped her well. I get it was a busy day. But the other servers walking past me , without even acknowledging me? I'd hate to think it was because of how I look or was dressed. I normally never think that. But I was by myself. I'm Hispanic. And a lot of tables were occupied by groups of people. So was it because they assumed I'm poor? Or that I wouldn't tip well? I'm a regular at this place.

I was contemplating an order of the buffalo wrap, which is $17 and used to come with alternating sides at no up charge. Laughably, a *side* of tater tots is now $10! I laughed and laughed, and then ordered from another establishment. Attached are screenshots from a previous receipt and the menu now. William Jeffreys : we charge $10 a handful of frozen readymade potato wads!

Happy hour specials on things like half price wings should start at 4 not 5 pm. At least the staff was upfront about it. Would like to see that special 5 nights a week, too.

Brilliant evening! Russy is a phenomenal employee- a unicorn-attentive and genuine with care and warmth, but doesn’t overdo it. Some of the best service I have experienced, as they truly care about making sure you are having a great time. We will definitely be back! Fab food, the best service, chilled atmosphere. So glad we stopped by; absolutely a new favourite!

It's changed a lot since I moved to the area almost 6 years ago. They still have some great specials and classics that are delicious!

Extremely disappointed in our dinner. The ribeye was tough, rubbery, and mostly fat. Calling it a ribeye is a joke. The brussel sprouts and potatoes that came with the steak were nothing special. Service is excruciatingly slow, even at the bar. Did they change chefs or owners or something??

Several of the food items are really good. However, I ordered a soda for $3 (a canned soda in the past) as part of a to-go order. They forgot to put it in the bag. When I went back for it, they gave me this. I know there is a mark-up for soda in restaurants, but this takes the cake, especially when they forgot it in the first place.

Some Say Comfy, I Say Come In..."Comfy & Cozy" on the inside, they keep it "Neat and Clean" but that does not mean they don't know how to "Turn Up!"Our social club came here to have an evening fun & eats. With a few request to our host of the night (Kevin), "Turnt- UP" the night was. Drinks, great; Food, great: Atmosphere, great: Service, Great! We thanked Kevin for how accommodating the Staff and he were for him to just reply " This is what we Do". Believe me they did the "Do".This place has the right vibe for "Grown Folks" to enjoy themselves in a Relaxing, Fun, Enviroment. It's like "Disneyland" without the kids. The Tavern itself has enough of it's own to make you feel very assured you walked into the right place.Parking: Parking in garage below the establishment.
