“I’m not one to usually leave reviews, but this place is absolutely amazing! We were just passing through and found this place. The BLT and the Philly cheesesteak were phenomenal! I recommend to anyone passing through to give them a try!”
“Literally still sitting in the restaurant but I couldn't wait to leave a review. Adorable restaurant. The sweetest staff. Fast service. The menu items were so unique and DELICIOUS! I live an hour and a half away and stopped in after hiking but would absolutely make the drive just for this restaurant. A must have in my opinion is the chili burger.”
“Has my vote for most interesting best place to eat around. The people there were super friendly and had no issue taking time to talk to us. Got the frog legs, was my first time having them. They were great. My GF had a burger and she was very happy with it. The chips are home fried. The tables were great and interesting to look at. The jukebox WORKS! Where else can you find that? One quarter/play at a time FYI. Totally worth it. We will definitely be back. WELL worth it!”
“Stopped for dinner, first visit. The specials were beef stroganoff and pot roast and my husband and I ordered both. It was delicious home style cooking and the staff was super friendly and wanted to be sure we enjoyed our meals. Recommend! Will be back :)”
“We parked at the swinging bridge & really enjoyed walking that/watching water turtles. Then a small walk past a few other eateries in this little Main Street. Both enjoyed Turkey blt on sourdough. Includes drink and one nice side. I tried corn fritters which were small fritters with creamed corn filling. Husband enjoyed his fries. Highly recommend this friendly nostalgic place!”
“We found this little gem today and had the best time! The food was delicious and they had the best Bloody Mary’s. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. Such a fantastic atmosphere and they played some damn good music while we were there. I loved absolutely everything about this place. Great place to hang and talk to the locals. We cannot wait to come back!”
“I'm su surprised that the food was really fresh and the atmosphere is very clean, friendly very positive attitude. Very fast service and very professional and over ”
“Great food , great service. Nice country atmosphere in Eagle Rock. 7 of us there in our family group. Everyone was happy! Hamburgers are great! Worth the drive! Check them out.”
“We went around 6 and it wasn't busy at all. The service was lovely and felt very personal. The food was really good and the atmosphere was very cozy! The price is reasonable as well!”
“We had a delicious lunch (see pictures) and a spectacular view! The meal was a bit pricey but it's reasonable to pay for the atmosphere and view ( see picture).”
“This Subway is located inside Sunset Market off Rt 220 heading away from Eagle Rock (or towards it depending on where you're headed). It's inside a small but quaint and well-kept gas station market with basic essentials and sundries like snacks and goodies for the surrounding community. This Subway when it opened many years ago, was a very welcome addition to the area because it provides an easy means of grabbing a snack on a weekend, late night dinner, or whatever for those who work and drive to Roanoke often. The staff inside are friendly, if not always the fastest, and they normally honor most of the Subway specials from the corporate office. Standard Subway station - it's not amazing - it's inside a gas station - but it's one of only a few commercial food options for miles and miles around the small town of Eagle Rock where most everything else has closed up over the last two decades.”
“Went to the red fox tavern. We relaxed in the lobby by the fire beforehand. They have an impressive set of beers on tap and a fully stocked bar. They gave us a sample of the beers and we just relaxed and enjoyed. All of the staff was very friendly and attentive.”
