“I recently stumbled upon Lassan and ordered takeout. The food was delicious. I ordered the masala nachos, masala fries, palak chaat, chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo, veggie biryani, masaledar aloo gobi and chana masala. My family’s favorites were the chicken tikka masala and the chicken vindaloo although I kind of feel like we were mistakenly given butter chicken instead of tikka masala just based on what I’ve gotten at other Indian restaurants since it was my first time at this restaurant.I ordered a medium spice level for our order but some items like the biryani were extra spicy. My family loves spicy food so we loved it but fair warning to those with lower spice tolerances.Takeout orders need to be packaged better since my masala nachos and masala fries were very soggy even though I arrived to pick up my order right as it came out. My palak chaat was also soggy, not crispy at all. The flavors were delicious so my family and I agreed these items will only be ordered when we dine in.“

“Words cannot express how happy we are that we discovered this hidden gem when we were simply looking on impulse for an Indian restaurant after a long day. The name seemed familiar from one we had eaten at in Falls Church that was a favorite of ours. And we were pleasantly surprised that they are owned by the same people. The staff here were just as courteous, helpful and efficient making sure our drinks stay full, the plates were cleared away and coming to check on how everything was. The whole experience from the presentation of the food, the portions, the quality of the ingredients, how well it was seasoned and cooked and the pricing for what you get which is a lot was right on mark in every way. We could taste the effort and love that goes into their cooking and how much they take pride in what they do. I think the food is just a bit better seasoned than their other location too. Everything tasted amazing and had our taste buds singing. We could not have asked for a better experience both times we were there for lunch and dinner and we feel most welcomed when we are there. They are wonderful proof that good food traverses boundaries and cultures amd brings people together as also witnessed by the other happy diners there of various ethnicities. Definitely on our list of places to go to and another local business we plan to support very often.Vegetarian options: I personally enjoyed the vegetable pakora, plain saag and chana masala. The only thing that could be better would be a mixed vegetarian option on their main menu either as a entree or appetizer so I could explore more vegetarian dishes before committing to just one.Dietary restrictions: I enjoyed the facts that they were gluten free, nut free and dairy free options as there are times I'm unable to consume these if I'm having digestive issues.Parking: There are quite a few food places as well as a smaller Walmart so parking can be a little challenging though we had no problems finding spots.“

“Love this place! I come in all the time and get the fried rice, but the curry and pad thai are also excellent.Vegetarian options: Not every dish on the menu can be served without meat, but many can! Tofu is an option for lots of the dishes that would normally have meat, and many of the curries don't have meat either.“

“First time at Bazins on Church. We arrived a few minutes earlier than our reservation and we were seated immediately. Since we had an early reservation, it was too packed when we got there. Our server came over right away to offer water and show us the specials menu. My husband ordered a pear martini that he said was good, but boozy. I just had a soda. For appetizers we split the jumbo lump crab meat spring roll. It was more of a deconstructed spring roll with the slaw on the outside. It was delicious. We appreciated that he took the order of two rolls and split it between two plates. For dinner my husband had the Atlantic cod and jumbo shrimp over cheddar grits. He said the cod was a nice portion, but with only 2 shrimp on his plate it seemed a bit pricey and he expected at least 4. I had the blue cheese crusted flat iron steak with red wine reduction and garlic herb fries. The red wine sauce made the blue cheese watery vs crusted. While I know flat iron steak isn't the most tender cut of meat, this was pretty tough. The fries were good, but would've preferred them to be more crispy. We shared the broccoli frito...very good, crunchy with a nice kick to it. We will definitely be back. Nice place to go, great decor, with an upscale casual feel.“

“We tried Harth last night and are glad we did. It's in the lobby of the McLean Hilton so it's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking. It was not very busy on a Friday night, unlike every other restaurant in Tysons which are overrun with guests. My guess is it's because few people are aware of its existence....and that's what makes it nice (I prefer peace and quiet to crowds when dining). It's a great spot for a date night. The ambiance is wonderful, the service is top notch, the food presentation is stellar, and it was all very tasteful..no need for salt/pepper/condiments. Even the chairs are super comfortable (which is great for my bad back).I think Harth is lovely. We will be back!“

“I’ve never heard of this place until today and glad I came. My friends and I tried their burger and it was probably one of the most flavorful burgers I’ve had. Presentation looks like a simple burger but the taste is outstanding. They nailed the beef done medium, their house sauce is balanced, and their bun was great. Their fries were also very crisp and done right. I ordered another burger to-go since it was so good. I’ll be coming back to try the other things on their menu. The owners were also very kind which made the overall experience a good one.“

“I've driven past PJ Skidoos multiple times, and have always wanted to stop in. I'm happy I did. Inside you're greeted by a friendly hostess who walks you through a beautiful, dark wood, dining room. The walls are covered with relics from the past. We ordered finger foods: chicken fingers, and potato skins. Both were outstanding. Lastly, I ordered the French Onion (I try them wherever I go). Overall the FO Soup was good, it had the perfect amount of cheese and wasn't overwhelming with onions. My only suggestion would be a pinch more salt in the broth. Side note* I would have ordered an Old Fashion if the bar had ice molds (Large Ice Cube). I'm not sure why bars don't carry the silicone molds to make them. All that being said, I'll be back, and I'll bring friends.“

Look, I live in Old Town Alexandria, VA, where there are some of the best Italian restaurants on the East Coast but those restaurants do not compare to my Maggiano’s. I seriously have to drive out of my way, Springfield, to get the Best Italian on the East Coast. It’s worth every second. The cuisine inside this Maggiano’s tastes exactly like my Italian grandparent’s cooked it. I frequent this restaurant at least once or twice a week. “This was my first visit to Starr Hill Biergarten and I was really pleasantly surprised. What a cool place! Eleven floors up to a big outdoor play space with views of the Tysons Corner skyline. It's December, so not much happening outdoors, but the small heated tent was cozy, warm, and festively decorated. The beers were great, especially the Warm Up Spiced Winter Ale. Service was friendly and prompt. We ordered food and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap was excellent - just the right spice level, proportion of ingredients and firmly wrapped. The fries were tasty too, and my partner liked the brat.“

Came and checked in on us, had recommendations, etc. I think only real downside is the price as it is a tad pricey. The meal with 2 beers before tip was just under $80. Speaking of beer though, one heck of a selection. My only other downside was that the music was a touch loud as well I thought but really it was a place I'd go back to again.“

It's a bit dark with the chess/checkered floor tiles with tables all around surrounding the bar area. But you do get a Cheers vibe with all the locals/regulars who stop in here for quick eats. As mentioned in previous reviews, all the servers are usually college students who make sure your beer is filled and you've had enough to eat. Eats start and end with their hot dogs, usually with chili and cheese if you're being proper. It's not the greatest chili cheese dog and sometimes you may wonder why you're ordering it. But the price and nostalgia always hit the spot and the taste reminds you why you're in here. Other eats I recommend are the wings (surprisingly good) and the fried zucchini (always eat your veggies!). Beer is either domestic or local brews that are Vienna Lager. Served in those classic cold mugs, the 80's-90's bar vibes hit once you pick it up and sip from it. Plus they are affordable compared to other places so that's a win in my book. As for other beverages, they have a serve-yourself soda station so you can get as many fills your stomach can handle. “Cool little spot in Fairfax. Nice selection of beer, but I feel it's overpriced. What happened to $5-6 happy Hour beers? Everything here is closer to $10 a beer. “I have a love/hate relationship with this place. When it comes to events, everything is at the lobby once you walk in and it's filled with neon lights, a dimly lit bar full of many offerings of alcohol you can get, a few small sections for VIP for your friends, and usually a DJ playing their music. There's open karaoke as well but I don't know if people sing often in the lobby. So I have been here many times for my friends and even booked a room as well. Rooms are spacious and they do have pretty nice audio. But there is one thing that truly irks me every time I come here. So they have a touch screen where you can add your karaoke songs through YouTube or through their system but getting the videos to load is a pain. It's annoying to deal with because it skips to the next song in queue so if you are with a group of 5+ more people, it can be very stressful. The worst part is we asked the staff about it and they aren't really sure what to do about the connection. I mean they should really fix that because I'm sure it gets people upset. No one wants their song to be skipped. Aside from that, you can also hear the loudness from other rooms, I don't expect that to be an issue but it's noticeable on busy nights. If you do plan to go here, there's one thing I highly advise before going. Check their socials if they are hosting any event and call ahead to know about the room rates. The website shows their original flat rates for the room but in events, they raise the prices up. If you go in person, check the menu before deciding to put your money down. This place also adds gratuity to the bill so be prepared to drop down a lot. While I frequently come back here just to hang out with friends, karaoke is one of my favorite hobbies. Its never a good time when your song doesn't get played or you get charged way more than you should.“

She told me it’s a one woman show, and I can tell she put a lot of love in her cooking the moment my bowl came out! The crab meatball was massive and you can tell she used lump crab meat! “The pupusas and tacos are a must. They're probably some of the better tacos you can get around the Landmark area. I did order their Birria Fries, and I had mixed feelings. The meet and toppings themselves were delicious; however, the fries were soggy and actually cold. “This review is exclusively for La Fiamma's Sunday buffet, which is very good. We've been here for the buffet four times now. Though La Fiamma's buffet offering is smaller than most other buffets, its quality is head and shoulders above the rest. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed. Today, service was outstanding with staffers checking frequently to see if we had everything we needed. The buffet includes an omelet bar, salads, typical breakfast items, entrees and a very decent array of seafood options. The dessert table is great with several different cakes as well as fresh fruit. The one thing I would change would be to have vanilla ice cream at the dessert table, not chocolate ice cream which is what was available today. Chocolate ice cream doesn't really go with carrot or devil's food cake. Speaking of the devil's food cake, it is flawless! Still, this our go-to option for Sunday brunch.“
