“This place is so tasty! The service has always been wonderful! It's the kind of place where the owner makes the rounds and say hello to EVERY customer. They host live bands and game nights too! It's the perfect lil oasis. They also host private events. My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner here and it was gorgeous and the food was great! Thanks to Cullan and Bonnie for hosting the heart of Charles City!”

“Great place right on the Virginia Capital Trail and Lawrence Lewis Jr Park is a mile down Wilcox Warf Road. The atmosphere is fantastic and energetic! The staff is welcoming, enthusiastic, and very timely! A very good menu with a variety of appetizers, entrees, and sides for everyone to include Gluten Free options. The beer list will cover tastes for most and the IPAs are outstanding (I'll update when I get there names.). The BBQ Dry Rub wings are outstanding and the rub is GF to boot. The Blue Cheese dressing for the carrots and celery looked to be ranch with Blue Cheese chunks, a new twist but tasted great! I'll definitely be back!Dietary restrictions: Ask the waiting staff about GF options. The BBQ Dry Rub on the wings is GF.”

“Gorgeous location, friendly service and delicious wine and food! Plenty of parking and easily accommodates large parties. It was rainy the day we visited so unable to enjoy the large outdoor seating options, but can’t wait to go back!”

“We attended on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy and there was but one waitress working. She was doing a fantastic job! But there were a lot of people. The crowd thinned out before we left and she had a chance to catch her breath. The fried shrimp, fish and chicken were fantastic. The hush puppies were terrible lol We could not eat them. But everything else was fine and the service was great We will go back again and recommend this location to anybody. It sets on the Chickahominy River and it's just a beautiful place to sit there and relax and eat.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible from the parking lot. Parking is a little hilly so that might be a small problem but it is paved.”

“The food & drinks are excellent! Our server was not the best, though. Maybe she was having an "off" kind of night, but she struggled to really listen to our food orders and made many mistakes. She brought the most expensive item versions of our orders to our table that clearly were not what we ordered or said, and then was openly frustrated when we asked her to take it away. Luckily, we made sure not to pay for those items we didn't want. We did laugh about it later and ultimately had a good time together.”

“My only complaint really is inconsistency between opening and closing shift. Openers seem to have the more consistent food whether it be taste, appearance or simply having the plating correct. Closing shift has almost always resulted in inconsistent orders. I swear by the Salmon Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette with who ever does day shift. However, it’s always missing something or Im given the wrong dressing if I get it for dinner. Food is simple enough that it taste very well, and the menu is easy to follow. Nothing over crazy like Maria’s & not nearly as greasy either.”

“A colleague had tickets to 1609 for New Years Eve Dinner over looking the Colonial Downs Race Track on the 4th floor of Rosies……and the Food, atmosphere and service was remarkable…For The three course menu entree I had encrusted Salmon and the sauce ? wow ..…..was able to meet the Executive Chef Tom when he personally brought my Salmon back to me and loved the desert…was so tasty… ? The service overall was so impeccable and the ambiance of the atmosphere made our New Years Eve Dinner enjoyable…loved the NYE Swag and invitation to the concert even though we could not stay…”

“I decided to try this subway one more time, as I had a very poor experience the last time and hadn’t been back in awhile; bur I’m glad I did. I came in yesterday to pickup my takeout order and the women working was very nice, quick, and my food was made PERFECT. The store was clean and in order. Everything was stocked. I believe they are under different management since the last time I dined here and I was pleasantly surprised. I love subway and this is definitely my new favorite location.”

“Bestes Frühstück, das wir bisher in den USA hatten. Authentisch, sehr nettes Personal, uriges Ambiente. Der Toast, die Eier und der Speck waren sehr lecker- der Kaffee ebenso. Wir haben uns willkommen gefühlt und würden auf jeden Fall nochmal herkommen, wenn wir hier vorbei kommen. Parkplätze gibt es ausreichend, ausserdem gibt es eine Toilette.”
