“My daughter has been begging for “the best” ice cream she has ever had for weeks now! We’ve tried all the ice cream you could get in New Kent and Kilted Creamery is truly the best. Down to the owner’s kindness and the family friendly environment. Even our baby boy was loving it!”

“NEW to the area, found this little Gem in accident but it was a happy accident cause its quite possibly the best I've come across yet since moving to Virginia. The two girls working the counter were great welcoming and held a conversation well answered any and available questions with patients and Diligence. I live for breakfast so the fact that they serve breakfast all day until closing is Absolutely phenomenal. Coffee blend was rich but not to sweet to where it drowns out the natural notes of coffee. A flavorful full body medium roast with a nutty rich after taste followed by desired flavor choice to finish it off. Chefs kiss. ?The breakfast sandwich was ? HOT. something that is rare to find when getting breakfast at noon crispy delicious bacon in melty gooey cheese with a toasted Bagel was the perfect way to make my afternoon. Honestly the only downside to it all was that they had zero donuts left at the time I went in. however from the taste of eveything else i can kinda see whay theres nothing left i bet those donuts are out of this world also wish there was more room to sit down and eat cause i ate in my car....But it's okay that won't stop me from coming back. Keep up the awesome work!”

“A colleague had tickets to 1609 for New Years Eve Dinner over looking the Colonial Downs Race Track on the 4th floor of Rosies……and the Food, atmosphere and service was remarkable…For The three course menu entree I had encrusted Salmon and the sauce ? wow ..…..was able to meet the Executive Chef Tom when he personally brought my Salmon back to me and loved the desert…was so tasty… ? The service overall was so impeccable and the ambiance of the atmosphere made our New Years Eve Dinner enjoyable…loved the NYE Swag and invitation to the concert even though we could not stay…”

“My wife and enjoyed our Chesapeake Crab Dip and Brussel sprouts appetizers. We had different burgers which were delicious. Our server was excellent. Friendly and professional. She took care of our needs. As we were leaving we used the restrooms. Both were filthy. If we had used them before we were seated, I doubt we would have stayed.”

“My wife and I go here about once or twice a year. She's the wine drinker in the family and has always enjoy their blanc. They really stepped up their menu with more options than a charcuterie board. The samosas were so good I ordered more and the buffalo chicken dip really hit the spot for me. Tasty and shareable, the pretzels they have are from their old menu, so I'm too scared to try them to see if they changed. The location is beautiful as always and they had some very friendly ladies working. It's my wife's happy place and I'm glad they are continuing to improve!”

“Last night (after a long day at VCU hospital), we stopped for gas in New Kent. I was pleasantly surprised to see the “Open” sign on since it was almost 9:00. I was quite frazzled…my Dad had open heart surgery on Feb 9th, and yesterday was the first time he responded to us! To say my mind was going a million miles an hour is an understatement. The three ladies standing at the counter were super sweet and assured me that it was no problem to do a pizza to go! I asked them what’s the easiest, and they responded with “it doesn’t matter…whatever you want on it”. After hearing the special, I chose a pepperoni and a cheese to go. The pizzas were absolutely delicious!!! We will def make the drive from Gloucester! Thanks again ❤️ Amanda Wilkes”

“Had a good experience here. Orders were correct. There was one item missing, however the staff caught it and brought it to me before I even had the chance to go and ask for it.”

“The food & drinks are excellent! Our server was not the best, though. Maybe she was having an "off" kind of night, but she struggled to really listen to our food orders and made many mistakes. She brought the most expensive item versions of our orders to our table that clearly were not what we ordered or said, and then was openly frustrated when we asked her to take it away. Luckily, we made sure not to pay for those items we didn't want. We did laugh about it later and ultimately had a good time together.”

“My only complaint really is inconsistency between opening and closing shift. Openers seem to have the more consistent food whether it be taste, appearance or simply having the plating correct. Closing shift has almost always resulted in inconsistent orders. I swear by the Salmon Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette with who ever does day shift. However, it’s always missing something or Im given the wrong dressing if I get it for dinner. Food is simple enough that it taste very well, and the menu is easy to follow. Nothing over crazy like Maria’s & not nearly as greasy either.”

“I decided to try this subway one more time, as I had a very poor experience the last time and hadn’t been back in awhile; bur I’m glad I did. I came in yesterday to pickup my takeout order and the women working was very nice, quick, and my food was made PERFECT. The store was clean and in order. Everything was stocked. I believe they are under different management since the last time I dined here and I was pleasantly surprised. I love subway and this is definitely my new favorite location.”
