We love Mexican food and this was a new experience for us. First off the chicken was AMAZING! So good and not over cooked oat all. The corn was delicious. We loved every bit of the meal. The restaurant was busy but the staff was very accommodating. They helped with explaining the menu when we had questions. The place was clean, well maintained and easy to relax in.

Excellent Rotisserie Chicken. Delicious flavor, crunchy skin perfect with their green sauce that has a tiny kick. Fried yucca and sweet plantains were excellent too.
We've ordered from this place lots of times. The last 2 times, our takeout orders were missing items. That's tough when you have company over and they don't get what they ordered. Last night the soup had globs of chicken cartilage in it. Now...5 minutes ago I get a notice saying my order( from yesterday) is ready for pickup and my Visa was charged Again!!! I'm definitely not happy.

Food is fresh. Very authentic tacos. Atmosphere is ok. Food comes out a little slow. But it appears they are making everything fresh. No precut or precooked items here. Can be a little pricey.

Did a quick day trip to Charlottesville and was recommended to come here by a family member. The trip here did not disappoint! This was by far the best Peruvian chicken place I have had. The chicken was spiced well, and the sides that they had to offer were amazing. The poblano rice was my favorite! If I’m ever back in Charlottesville again, I will be coming back!

I did an online order with Al Carbon today. I went to pick up at the time given and my order was not ready. I had to wait an additional 30 minutes and when askew what the problem was no one spoke English to explain. My chicken was overcooked and my plantains were extremely dry. I love Al Carbon but I am wondering if it's under new ownership.

Poor customer service... Plantains were burnt, dry, and had no flavor. Ordered fries with cheese and chorizo, chorizo was SUPER dry, they added NO CHEESE. They charge extra for it so you would think they would actually serve you what you're paying for.. chicken was delicious though.

The Chorizo tacos are my favorite. The chicken tacos were fantastic as well, but the chorizo was so good I’d probably just get that. Can’t go wrong with either. Great place for an affordable date night. Chill atmosphere if it’s not busy.

Great food! Service was fast and simple! They take your order up front and then bring it to you to your table. We got half chicken with rice, yucca, and plantains. Everything came out hot and fresh! Place is nicely decorated and spacious!

I found this place in Spring of 2023 and have enjoyed going back multiple times, whenever I make it to Charlottesville. I recommend the tacos, flautas, Mexican corn, fried yucca, and plantains. I can't wait to go back someday and try more of what they have to offer! It's all delicious!
