This location has great coffee and usually has a quiet studying kind of vibe. I do with there were more comfy seating options that were less sterile looking but overall this Grit is my favorite. Their outdoor patio is awesome. Their pricing is also pretty steep. For a dirty chai latte you’ll pay almost $10 which took me by surprise the first time. I won’t be ordering that again but just their regular coffee as it’s good too.
My top 2 go to coffee spots in Richmond (and Charlottesville). Their seasonal drinks are amazing and their every day menu has lots of options. The staff are always incredibly friendly and it's always good vibes when you walk in. I love the open and bright atmosphere. Iced sugar free vanilla latte with oat milk is 10/10.

love these guys. always super kind at every location. super personable and easygoing. coffee is always good, never had an espresso shot that tasted burnt or dead - which is a rarity nowadays i feel like. never had their food, but everything in the case always looks amazing. my partner loves their mocha (it doesn’t taste powdery like most places) and the stores are always cute, welcoming, and clean! lots of seating at this location as well- bar seating, couches, high tops, etc.
