“Stopped by on Saturday (8/21/21) during a day trip to Charlottesville. Great experience. Love the friendly staff and the lattes. Highly recommend dropping by if you’re in the area, and making it a routine if you live in Charlottesville.“
“Hands down, one of the best restaurants in CVille. Whether you are local or flying in from CHO (close-ish to the airport), you have to make it to this hidden gem. Very eclectic/stylish/fun Miami inspired decor with a really unique but specific art collection on the walls. Everytime I eat here, i order something different, and it is always something I have never had. Today, I had "Maicitos" which was described to me as "Mac and cheese meets street corn (elotes) with lays chips crumbled on top for crunch." It was totally new to me, but it was so awesome! And as good as the food and decor are, the people who work there truly steal the show. They are extremely friendly, customer service oriented, and more passionate about the food they serve than any restaurant I've ever been to. Their excitement to share with you their unique flavors is irresistible. If you only get one meal in CVille, you won't regret choosing Guajiros.“
“I stopped in this morning to get donuts for coworkers because everyone has been talking about how amazing their donuts are. I was greeted right away by the friendly owners and chatted for a bit while they got my order ready. I was out the door quickly with my box of goodies. These donuts are beyond amazing! First ... they are large. much bigger than the donuts you're used to buying from the big chains. Second. they are perfection. The flavors are delicious, everything tastes fresh and homemade. These are the donuts you're grandma made for you on Christmas morning! Absolutely delicious. outstanding donuts with friendly service. go get yourself some... you won't be sorry!“
“Daily Grind is the best place in town to get coffee and icecream and they have dairy-free alternatives. Always fast, accurate service, and always friendly. They also participate in community events and offer food/drinks from other local businesses. Im glad they are local to me and keep us safe by enforcing a mask policy. I eat/drink here at least twice a week“
“Oh. My. Gosh. SK Coffee has the best "coffeeshop cozy" atmosphere - it's my favorite place to go that isn't a library for focused studying. Get the dirty chai, it's like an warm autumnal spice hug. All the baristas that I've talked to and have been served by there are lovely.“
“I leave reviews for impactful sites; whether positive or negative. This place is definitely a must. Everything we had was delicious, baked to perfection, flavorful, and tasted BETTER than grandma’s best home cooked meal. The atmosphere is elegant and calm enough to enjoy that soothing freshly made coffee. The staff are kind well deserving of praise in their services(to include the peeps up front and in the back).Overall, I highly recommend coming here for a nice breakfast meal.“
“Awesome little local spot working closely with The Pie Chest. Awesome espresso, awesome coffee. They just started roasting/selling their own coffee and so far, it's nothing but gold. Try the Ethiopian! Straight blueberries and one of my absolute favorite coffees.period.“
“We did not know what to expect and must say this was a gem! We enjoyed our breakfast biscuits which were delicious. Everything made from scratch. Finished with the best key lime pie we have ever tasted with real whip cream! Can’t wait to come back and try their dinner menu. Their menu is unique and have never seen this selection in the US! Many Spanish dishes!“
“Can not explain enough how wonderful of a coffee shop this is. The baristas are amazing and oh so sweet, and the coffee is great! As someone that has anxiety and doesnt like to go to new places, im very glad i came in because of all the reasons listed above, 100/10 am definitely coming again.“
“So happy this Starbucks opened. The staff is kind, my drinks are delicious and consistent. They even sometimes have the cutest samples and displays in the drive-thru area. Everyone there just seems like they genuinely enjoy their job, which means a lot when you need a quick pick me up on the way to yours!“
“We took our family here for an impromptu brunch during the week. There was no wait and the staff were very friendly, helpful, and efficient. The atmosphere is cool with an old federal architecture vibe and definitely gives you that historical Charlottesville feel while also being modern/sophisticated. The food was fantastic. You can’t go wrong here!Kid-friendliness: The staff and restaurant are easy for those with small children. Very accommodating and plenty of space for high chairs/strollers without interrupting other guests.“
“Probably had one of the best lattes of my life here! And I’ve been to a LOT of coffee shops. Simple, straightforward menu, with delicious, smooth coffee.Inside is cozy and great to sit and chat or study, if you can get a spot! Tends to be busy at high points.I brought my toddler here in a stroller, and it can be hard to navigate inside, but the outside sidewalk has some seating, which is great.“
“Workshop, owned by grit coffee, who has several stores here in town company owned by two gentlemen from Charlottesville. This coffee shop is in my neighborhood, but even if it wasn't, I'd be there often. It has great outdoor seating indoor seating with full glass windows, and also very good choices and coffee.services is great and is wonderful whether we sit inside or outside on rolling nice waterproof chairs or couches. Highly recommend workshop getting there is a bit of an issue as you must go down Broadway, which is parallel to East market where most people go. Please use Broadway.“
“The barista that helped us was really nice in answering some of the questions I had about their chai and made a delicious iced chai latte. It's was cute inside although a little small. I did see a sign for more seating upstairs and there were a few options for outside seating as well.“
“Amazing chocolates! If you like quality and care about ingredients, you will love them! I bought an assorted pack of 8 chocolates, and loved every flavor. I will be ordering more online, as I am not local. Excellent alternative, if you want to gift something made in Virginia. I have visited Europe, and this chocolates are on par with the ones I have tried abroad.“
“Delicious, wholesome breads. The owner and staff know their products and the importance of high quality ingredients. A variety of breads are baked fresh daily. A wonderful place to visit on a frosty day.Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free options as well.“
“Best donuts on the planet. That is to say, they are made fresh when you order, so of course they are amazing. If they are busy it'll take time. The donuts are worth the wait.Duck: Stop prompting for a tip at POS for a counter-service pre-pay business. Doesn't matter if everyone else is doing it, it sucks when they do it too.Everyone: Come here, eat amazingly warm fresh delicious donuts, it's a good time.“
“love these guys. always super kind at every location. super personable and easygoing. coffee is always good, never had an espresso shot that tasted burnt or dead - which is a rarity nowadays i feel like. never had their food, but everything in the case always looks amazing. my partner loves their mocha (it doesn’t taste powdery like most places) and the stores are always cute, welcoming, and clean! lots of seating at this location as well- bar seating, couches, high tops, etc.“
“The ambiance inside is perfect for a calming and welcoming morning that allows you to settle before the 9-5. Most of us enjoy the somewhat somber background of the smiths and the sounds of coffee being made. The latte is very solid and prices aren't terrible, although not a fan of the 1.50 markup on oat milk. All in all, you'll enjoy the experience and hope to become a regular.“
“Great pour over coffee. I got the columbian single origin. Cool pour over machine. Roaster owns a farm in Panama but I didn’t get a chance to order any beans from farm. Shop also offers espresso and cold brew drinks. Pricing for pour over was reasonable.“
“Drive-thru was quick, service was good. The parking lot is extremely cramped and the fact that you have to go around the drive-thru line on a super tight lane right next to the drive-thru and between an atm drive-thru lane just to get in line is a bit illogical. Nevertheless, drinks & food were excellent.“
“Sunday brunch is crowded. While we were in no rush, it did take 15 minutes before a server took our drink orders and by that time we placed our full order. It took another 15 minutes before our coffee drinks arrived. I ordered the chicken and biscuits over my usual eggs benedict but didn't expect the biscuits to be deep-fried bread ... almost like croutons and the chicken was more fried batter than chicken. My wife and daughter very much enjoyed their dishes, one was the pimento BLT. Don't recall the other.“
“One of the perks of working near The Corner is that Starbucks is a stone throws away. The baristas' are always so nice and welcoming even when I only stop in for two seconds. Really cool upstairs that is usually quiet and a great place to get work done. My drinks aren't always perfect but I'm always satisfied.“
“The new to go starbucks location is so fun! It's much less hectic than ordering in person and cleaner and calmer. It's sad to miss the seating and cafe vibes but it's a great option for to go drinks on the corner. Kind of feels like a modern futuristic setup for some reason too. Spaceship vibes? Would recommend!!“
“Went for brunch today and there was hardly one else there, which made me a little concerned, but I think people just don’t know about this gem. The food was so good. This is the best brunch Ive had Charlottesville. Everyone I was with enjoyed the food. This is listed as a coffee bar but the food appears to be cooked fresh out of the pink grouse kitchen, and it was amazing. Highly recommend!“
“This is a solid neighborhood Starbucks. The baristas are kind, the service is quick and the coffee is consistent. With other coffee shops in town, you can't say its amazing coffee, but they have a consistent product across the board.Parking: There is ample parking, but can be frustrating to get out due to the road organization.“
“This place is awesome!! Great seating inside and outside. The food is good as well! I love getting the commuter. As for the coffee, the java shake is my absolute favorite. I now have to stop in everyday to get these essentials before going to work.“
“This is by far my favorite coffee shop in Charlottesville. The pastries and Empanadas are fresh made right in front of you by some very good looking men from argentina:) but that coffee is perfect every time and not overpriced!! Support this local cute gem:)“
