Was there ahead of a game. The food is good but not exceptional. The staff was good but were understaffed for the large crowd.

The food was very good, especially the Cubano sandwich! The staff is so friendly and I love the decor - from the neon WAHOOS to the giant poster of Ralph and Patrick Ewing in their epic game. There are lots of tv screens for watching basketball - of course! Ralph was there greeting patrons and the atmosphere was a great warm up to the last men's basketball home game of the season. What a fun night! Go Hoos! ????

Great eatery that pays homage to UVA and is owned by the legend himself!

This restaurant was recommended to me by a colleague about 8 months ago and my husband and I just got the chance to come and visit. We ordered from the brunch menu and got the BYO burger & the Nashville chicken biscuits. The burger was not cooked as communicated with our waitress, it was undercooked. From the time we sat down to the time we got our food it was about 40 minutes. The food was average at best, and service wasn’t great. Our waitress was eating behind the service stand (which is totally fine with me), but was walking out from behind the stand with her mouth full and chewing with her mouth open while going to the kitchen. I felt the environment and service was unprofessional. A lot of the waitresses were sitting on their phones out in the open restaurant, which typically I don’t care about, however, we were never asked about refills and we weren’t communicated with about the kitchen delay. To put it bluntly- my husband and I agreed, we wouldn’t come back here even if the food was free. The ranch was good, but that was about it. We were super disappointed!Edit to add- we came on Sunday, restaurant was not busy at all upon arriving or when leaving. Just wanted to specify that wasn’t the reason for the long wait times for food.

My first time there. Sat at the bar, waitress recommended the fish and chips or chicken sandwich.I chose the fish and chips. I was not disappointed. 2 pieces of chunky, flaky fish, well cooked with fresh hot fries and a choice of tartar sauce, regular or jalapeño.Highly recommended.

Cold food, soggy fish and chips small servings, drinks not refilled… yes they were slammed after the UVA game but we were at the tail end of the crowd, no excuse for bad quality food!

We visited Ralph's American Taproom after a University of Virginia basketball game. It does get quite busy after a game. We had to wait a few minutes to get in the door. Reservations are available & recommended. The beer was good & cold! They have a nice selection of beers. The burger was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff was super friendly & did a great job managing the rush. The kitchen was a bit backed up but it was understandable considering the influx of customers all arriving at the same time. Lots of tv's, a great place to watch all the games & enjoy a local craft beer. They also have your favorite mass produced beers, if you prefer. We will definitely visit again...hopefully Ralph will be there next time:) Go 'Hoos!

Food was good, but not spectacular. Service was very good. Music was played way too loud. It was at a concert level, not a dining level because one could not have a conversation.

Had to go at least once. Unlikely to go back. WAY overpriced - like a Ralph retirement fund I hope, instead of rent money. No real ambiance except pictures. Food was very good, but certainly not overly generous. Rather loud when they have a DJ. Hopelessly devoted UVA fans liked it !

Was surprisingly impressed, as I was expecting a so-so experience relying on a name. Chicken tenders were really good. Portions were large. Service was fantastic, too.Parking: In shopping center.

Our server was really attentive and personable. The food was terrific...the Korean BBQ cauliflower was one of the best appetizers I've had in recent memory and the steak fries and truffle fries sealed the deal and made for a really great and memorable evening.

We had a great meal here! The food was delicious, we got the nachos, chicken sandwich, and a burger and they were all so yummy and portions were big. The staff went above and beyond for us and for others… one server helped an elderly woman with her walker, and the manager was very kind to our kids. All around great meal and great service we will be going back for sure
