My first time there. Sat at the bar, waitress recommended the fish and chips or chicken sandwich.I chose the fish and chips. I was not disappointed. 2 pieces of chunky, flaky fish, well cooked with fresh hot fries and a choice of tartar sauce, regular or jalapeño.Highly recommended.
We visited Ralph's American Taproom after a University of Virginia basketball game. It does get quite busy after a game. We had to wait a few minutes to get in the door. Reservations are available & recommended. The beer was good & cold! They have a nice selection of beers. The burger was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was very good, especially the Cubano sandwich! The staff is so friendly and I love the decor - from the neon WAHOOS to the giant poster of Ralph and Patrick Ewing in their epic game. There are lots of tv screens for watching basketball - of course! Ralph was there greeting patrons and the atmosphere was a great warm up to the last men's basketball home game of the season. What a fun night! Go Hoos! ????
