“Great Wine in a laid back atmosphere with delicious bread /olive oil and we got goat cheese too. It is all simplistic but done well and a great spot to try some good wines and relax. Was happy to meet Mr.Rausse who is a very nice person and Charlottesville Wineries are here in abundance with a lot of help from him starting the trend. Nice, genuine people and good wine !“
“We had a delightful visit here not just because of the wines, but because of Cynthia and Luke. I had called before we arrived in Virginia and spoke to Cynthia who was informative and friendly. When we came for our tasting, we were lucky enough to get Luke. He is clearly enthusiastic about the wine and knowledgable as well. People like Cynthia and Luke absolutely make the winetasting experience. We so enjoyed our time here and are glad to report our wine made it safely home in our luggage! “We visited the small tasting room near downtown Charlottesville. There is another one south of Charlottesville. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and it all seems very cozy. They have plenty of parking! The young lady serving us was very personable, and we had fun chatting with her. Got some good intel on local restaurants to visit. The winemaker creates French and Virginia wines, and we ordered tastings of both. We thought they were all good but especially enjoyed the Virginia wines. The merlot is outstanding!“

“A very nice sprawling winery. The views and scenary are just amazing.Also the wine is good. I did the red flight and enjoyed each one. I do think I like the meritage the most though.Service was very friendly and easy going. And the scene is very relaxing as it is.Edit: second time here from florida, and still great.“
