Had the oxtails with Mac and cabbage and it was pretty damn good but that's not my problem. Great flavor in the oxtail and a pretty decent portion all around. Highly recommend

You have to check out Mp Island during lunch, I got the stew chicken and the lunch special deal is awesome . The cafe is always clean and neat and the service is fast. They also have a grocery side of the store with carribean food drinks deserts and herbs at a great price . Today I had the stew chicken rice and peas and plantains. Absolutely delicious!

A new addition to the MP brand in Portsmouth. The store front sells spices, snacks, beverages, etc. that are unique to the Caribbean and typically difficult to find else where. A few steps back toward the counter and you are able to order s few of the dishes notorious to the Caribbean. Dishes like oxtail, curry chicken, and patties (hand held flavorful meat pies). Patties are made with beef (spicy or mild), chicken, or veggies. Each a unique take on a classic meat pie. We are happy to have a taste of the Caribbean closer to home. Sample all of the unique dishes as they are all delicious. There is a place to dine in but most people seem to prefer take out. There is ample parking. This location is in a strip mall. Happy Eating Yeeps!!!

I dont know what goes on with my people and customer service. But, each time that I've ordered, my order has never come the way that I ask. And they never send my drinks. That's $10 in drinks they have beat me out of... No more Eff that d*** a place.

Got the White meat j*** chicken,Mac,cabbage,yams and cornbread. They were out of cornbread which was fine I picked some up somewhere else. As far as the rest all I can say is they gotta do better. The chicken literally fit in one corner of the takeout tray which couldn’t have been a wing and chicken breast. The chicken was mostly skin and bones. Honestly wouldn’t return but it was cute I suppose.

Today I went to this location at lunch, it was only one person working the line and checking customers out. I witnessed 2 people leaving while waiting in line because of the extended period of time that they were waiting. I was okay with waiting as I know sometimes employee shortage occurs. But what really caused me to leave myself was because that one employee had no gloves on while touching money and checking customers out and then going back and fourth to the food line and plating food without ever having gloves on. Highly unsanitary!
It's MP's!!! It's either hit our miss. This day unfortunately was a miss. J*** chicken was kind of dry. Only got 3 small pieces of oxtail. For the amount of money we paid should have gotten a little bit more.

Delicious Jamaican / Caribbean food spot. This place is very popular with locals and is worth the trip. Be careful not to spill juice from the food because they are generous with it and it makes the rice taste fenominal.
