“Long drive from central VA with a stop here before we headed back. No wait to sit outside. Quiet if a bit warm, but fans kept the air moving and the umbrellas blotted direct sunlight. The food was fabulous. Octopus as appetizer was fresh and not spongy (as it can be if not fresh or if cooked poorly). Branzino in parchment paper was herbaceous and well-seasoned with tomato that enhanced the flavor more than it overpowered it. Wedge salad was unexpectedly filling and large. Dessert special of panna cotta was shared over a cappuccino. Really, though, the reason why we'll be coming back is the waitstaff. I could not have asked for better service.“
“First time here. Ordered 4 appetizers which were perfect portions for 2 people. The eggplant was excellent. Calamari wasn’t what I expected as “sauté” but sauce was tasty. Restaurant is very loud so difficult to have conversation in normal speaking tone.“
“Il Faro is a very good restaurant. I love the Chicken Marsala here. Extremely tasty. A different spin on it as they don't use spaghetti as the pasta. The chef uses penne pasta and it absorbs the flavors of the sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach and the organic chicken well. The chicken is extremely tender and the chef consistently delivers this dish in the three times we have been here since they took over after Mama Mias closed. I also want to note they do the appetizers well. We enjoy the mozzarella sticks and the meatballs. You can tell the mozzarella is fresh since it doesn't have that frozen taste and the sauce to dip in is very tasteful. As for the meatballs, they are beef based but the chef adds a great flavor of the tomato sauce and mozzarella and they add delightful bread to soak up the remaining sauce and cheese after you enjoy the meatballs. The pizza is a thin crust cooked toward the under side so no browning on the cheese. It is a NY pizza in the finest of traditions. You will enjoy it. Service is top notch. I mean 100%. We go in and we are 100% satisfied with the service. Waitress is efficient, smart and completely interested in making sure you have a great dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
“The ambiance of the restaurant is romantic, with flower bouquets and beautiful paintings. For the appetizers that we ordered, the portions were very small but the food was good. The duck confit was sweet, the ravioli sauce was great, the french onion soup was standard, and the crab cake sauce was delicious but very small. Free desert came with small samples of chocolate mouse and raspberry cake.“
“My group of 4 had a wonderful dinner here!] Everyone got something different and everything tasted amazing! The rolls, beer marinated steak, ozzies chicken and everything else tasted great! Our server Ellie was beautiful and awesome! Definitely will return.“
“We stopped by this modest storefront in a strip mall. The location had been recommended to us from a friend that had first eaten there a few weeks earlier. We decided to drop by for a meal on a Sunday afternoon. We found a wonderful Italian restaurant that was intriguingly busy on a Sunday afternoon. My wife had the salmon and I had the steak special. Both dishes were cooked immediately about 10 feet from us and served steaming hot. Both were deemed very well plated, flavorful and precisely cooked. When we come next, I'll dress a little better. The chef deserves it.“
“This is my second time here and each time has been exceptional.Christie was our waiter and she was so lovely! As I am writing this review, it is Ramadan and her and the owner were very accommodating, such as making sure we had dates to break our fast, making sure a dish is halal, and asking if we are comfortable with food coming out before it is time to break our fast.Love this place and the interior is nice as well. Highly recommend!“
“Una esperienza indimenticabile! Sergio è davvero un gran signore, attento ad ogni minima esigenza del cliente, gentile e disponibile con una innata classe italiana. Il cibo è superlativo, di altissima qualità, cucinato in maniera perfetta. La mise en place impeccabile, Tiramisù e cantucci per concludere una magnifica serata . Consigliatissimo“
“Nice, clean, fast and efficient, very modern and newly painted interior design one of the cleanest Pizza Boli’s out there with good food and customer service I used to work in Maryland as a commercial painter and I used to eat pizza Boli’s for lunch very often but nothing can compare to this branch very well established and “
“This is the best pizza and Italian place around with reasonable prices! I cannot believe how great a slice of plain cheese pizza is here. Only costs $3.50, is a huge slice....looks like a quarter of a large....and is simply the best. There are too many other great tasting options in slices to mention...also all the other great food they have will satisfy.....huge menu......real italian....never been disappointed here in taste or price!“
“Mohamed has always taken care of us! I’ve been coming to this location since before Covid and the pizza is always on point. Even the picky eater kids keep munching down slices! Come to this spot, Mohamed’s smile and pizza will surely brighten up your “
“You won't find better than Piero's. We always feel welcome here and the service is always warm and friendly. The food is simply amazing, too. Our favorites are the lasagna and lobster ravioli. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, though! If you're going on a weekend, though, make a reservation. This place is packed for good reason!“
“My wife and I came in to celebrate our anniversary, we were given a complementary glass of sparkling wine. The serving staff worked as a team, while our waiter took the order and would check up on us, other members were refilling the water glass, and bringing out out food. Was a little delayed between courses but nothing unreasonable, and we were not in a hurry. The food, the wine, the service, all were top notch!“
“As many of you (me when I come back and read this later) are aware, my wife and I take our date night locations seriously and a few nights ago we went out on a limb and decided to try Roberto's on our most recent outing. You're always taking a risk when you go to a restaurant when you're not able to pronounce half of the things on the menu. Some might say that's a sign of authenticity...some might say that's a recipe for embarrassment. Either way, we gave Roberto's a shot and, overall, we're glad that we did. I'm not an Italian expert by any stretch of the imagination, but even my uneducated palate could have told you that this place was miles better than 80% of the other Italian restaurants I've been to in the past (Olive Garden included, I'm sad to say). From the outside, Roberto's is a pretty cool looking place. The restaurant is pretty small, but the large Italian flag waving out front gives away its location pretty easily. We made a reservation online pretty easily.Overall, we had a really good experience here, but walking in almost ruined it for us. When I had booked our reservations, I did not anticipate bringing our children with us (both under 2). When we couldn't find a baby sitter, we called an audible and brought them along which I thought would be fine because they're literally like 20 pounds combined. When we came and checked in we were almost instantly greeted with a pleasant, "You know we don't have high chairs, right?" Which I didn't know (not sure how I would have). There was a minute or two of adjusting because we had two extra "people" with us who didn't take up chairs, but we were then pretty quickly led to a booth.I had made a mistake and maybe I was just getting a taste of Italian hospitality, but I was a little unhappy about that first impression. Nevertheless, from that moment on everything got much better. The main dining area of the restaurant is essentially a large room with tables laid around the walls and a big serving section right in the middle where the waiters grab supplies and things. That was a cool layout that I hadn't seen before, it also meant that we were helped pretty quickly. We had our water within a few minutes and fresh bread only a few minutes later. Not unlimited, but unlimitedly delicious. After a few minutes of translating the menu my wife and I ordered. I went with the Fettuccini (because it was literally the only thing I could pronounce) and my wife ordered the gnocchi. Within a few minutes, my wife's food was out and my pasta had made its way to the center island thing in the restaurant. From there, the owner of the store (or manager?) put the pasta into a giant wheel of parmesan and personally created the alfredo sauce in front of us while explaining the process, that was pretty cool. The food itself was incredible. Both the gnocchi and the fehttuchini alfredo were wonderful. The portions were a little smaller than I would have liked, but enough to leave you feeling like you were satisfied. We ended the meal with a little espresso and chocolate gelato which, I kid you not, is the best I've ever had. While the hospitality coming through the door wasn't great, our servers were wonderful the whole time. They were attentive, helpful and kind. I was also impressed to see that the owner/manager/woman in charge made her way around to each table to check in on folks and make sure they were enjoying their meal and have a short conversations with them. That was a nice touch that, honestly, hasn't happened to me in a long time. The last thing I'll discuss is the price. You're getting good quality food but you're not paying Olive Garden prices for it. Both my wife and I's dishes sat around $30/pop. For a group, you're talking some big money.Would I come back to Roberto's? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Yes. Would I come back often? If I was rich...maybe. It's a fun place for a date night, but probably won't be our regul“
“This restaurant is extremely clean, and the food is amazing! I loved the atmosphere as well. The serving size is very big and our order was ready within 10 minutes. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for halal italian in the DMV area.“
“Our favorite pizza! DELICIOUS non-chain pizza reasonably priced. We always get the family deal that comes with a free small pizza. Even their cheese pizzas are delicious. The crust is crispy and their toppings are fresh and just the right amount.“
“Visited on a Sunday Eve with a res. Seated upon arrival. The Place got busy quick. Wait staff was attentive. But seemed like they rushed us out when we looked done. House Chianti was very good. Arancini was one of the best I've had. Veal Canneloni Special was good not great Fusilli pasta special was served with rigatoni, I dont think anyone else noticed. Had great sausage and LOTS of garlic.....that was fine we were vampire hunting after dinner. I would definitely return. I'd like to try other items and update my rating.“
“I stopped in to get a little taste of Italy! The venture was very successful!I truly enjoyed my visit, the people are here are wonderful and very appreciative of your patronage! The food and wine were delicious and the dessert was nothing short of amazing! So make a special trip to DRoccos! You will be very happy! The place is fairly small but it has a delicious deck overlooking the river for nice days!CuteRomanticWarmDeliciousThese are the words I would use to describe this cozy place!“
“We need more non-corporate places in Woodbridge. This place fits the bill. Has a neighborhood feel with personality, not trendy rather a down to earth place with honest portion sizes. I believe it is mostly family run. While we dined a family filled up a large table beside us and were speaking Italian, which is a welcomed experience in a world filled with Olive Gardens. Husband had no complaint with his pizza and he is a bit of a pizza connoisseur. My Chicken Florentine was liberally stuffed and the sauce extremely rich and flavorful. The times we have gone there several families were dining, but a comfort place for couples, too. Hope this restaurant continues to thrive“
“I just wanted to share that we had an amazing time dining at this place and we are definitely planning to come back soon. The staff was super friendly and passionate about their job. The cherry on top was the wonderful service we received from Maria, who went above and beyond to make our experience great!“
“Been searching for a pizza place for 2 years. Stumbled across this gem. Best white pizza around. Only critique is that while the crust is great, it’s very floppy. A good NY style pizza has a nice solid base even with lots of toppings on it. And I love the amount of toppings this place puts on the pizza. You definitely have that down. And the sauce that comes with that delicious cheesy bread, is to die for. I know now to order extra. Best best best best pizza in the area if you’re from NY like me and miss a good tasting crust, sauce, and piled with toppings. ?“
“One of the best places to go for pizza and pastas. Simple, Italian dishes, but really good homestyle cooking. Highly recommend coming here if you are planning to get a grub to eat before a movie. My picks from here would be the piccatta, or chicken parm pasta. Their New York style pizza is also really flavorful.“
“Just an amazing beautiful atmosphere, with exquisite service and wonderful authentic Italian cuisine. Owner is an awesome person who will greet you personally and check in on you and your guests pro actively. The waiters are courteous and on top of everything. I wish I could dine there every night! I will definitely go back.“
“I’ve been here in the past and before the new owners. The new owners/chef are excellent! It’s a cute, small, family owned restaurant with a cozy vibe. You feel like you’re at their house and they’re hosting you. Highly recommend!! I love the moussaka and falafel pita :)“
“After having been here several times the food is quite good. The lasagna in particular is a personal favorite. The ambiance is pleasant although crowded at times. They have an excellent wine selection. One recommendation- if you order takeout in particular -pizzas. Check them before you leave. The pizza I ordered last night had the four ingredients put in four separate corners. I don't understand it but can only assume I was given the wrong order or someone in the kitchen was having a bad night!“
“This pizza didn't look amazing in pictures (no offense), but the family insisted on this pizza joint and boy was I glad they did! This pizza was fantastic! I particularly enjoyed how the pizza was so thin yet sturdy enough to not flop when picking one up to take a bite. And the underside was so delightfully crispy. Big fan, even if I can't eat gluten anymore! I can't speak to ambiance or service since we ordered take out. Definitely worth it!!“
“Been going here for 15+yrs. Great sammies! My favs: Super Big A, Spicy Italian and the Crazy Italian. The bread is crusty and chewy. Lots of fillings. Good choice of chip/sodas. Lots of sides to choose from. Never been to the one in Ffx, might need to try it out.“
“Villa Bella is such an amazing restaurant. It can be difficult to get a reservation here as it is really popular in the Burke area, but that's because it is such a unique spot. I love the wood-fired pizzas from here because this style adds to the crispiness of the pizza crust. Calamari fritti is nice and airy, unlike many places where they sometimes make the appetizer too dense or oily. Reasonable amount of salt in the calamari fritti, which impresses me because I don't find that often in the calamari I've gotten from other Italian restaurants. The fried mozzarella and arancini are also some must-haves. Before eating here, I used to not like arancini, but this place has converted me into someone who loves arancini. With pasta dishes, some of my personal favorites are the ziti alla Paesana, manicotti, and ravioli. Their chicken parm pasta is also really good. This cozy restaurant nestled in Burke definitely sets the bar high for Italian food in the DMV and has personally elevated my palate on Italian cuisine. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try, and even a faraway drive is worth it in my opinion. I definitely hope to come back here.“
“My family loved the sandwiches at the Manassas location and we were so glad to find this one closer to us! Whenever we want a solid sub, we come here and we're never disappointed. Our favorite is the Spicy Italian and the Italian Stallion. The portions are generous and the bread is always so good.“
“We just had another office lunch at Giardino to celebrate the retirement of a colleague. The restaurant does a fabulous job of handling large parties. They made special menus and customized the set up perfectly for our needs. The servers are of the highest professional demeanor. They were in sync with the flow of our event, patient with our chaotic social mixing, and totally non-disruptive as they served and bussed around our crowd of 40+ people. And the food is so tasty! Everyone raved about the lasagna, chicken marsala, fettucine alfredo, cannoli, and the bread--YUM. All for a very fair price.“
“First-time customer and did call-for-pickup (ready in 20 mins); arrived and young gentleman immediately greated me and surprisingly apologized to me, that my 12" pizza wasnt ready and needed 10 mins. Appreciated his honesty and sincere customer service (kinda rare these days) offering me a drink and dessert on-the-house. No issues on my end taking time for quality food and service. btw, tasty pizza and philly-cheese + great fries (light+crispy) + tiramasu! we'll be back!!!“
“At Luciano, I recently dove into their "Meat Trio" pizza, and let me tell you, it's a culinary masterpiece. The crust strikes the perfect balance between crispy and chewy, providing an ideal base for the explosion of flavors to come. The trio of meats was a savory delight in every bite, and I decided to amp it up a notch by adding mushrooms, which added a delightful earthiness to the mix. The cheese, a gooey perfection, brought everything together seamlessly. Luciano's commitment to quality ingredients and culinary finesse truly shines through in this pizza, making it a must-try for anyone seeking a delicious and satisfying dining experience.“
“OMG!! This place was amazing! We did the restaurant week & I got eggplant Bechemel, the Spicy Scallops & shrimp over Linguine pasta was amazing!! Best scallops I have eaten in a long time.. Dessert was supurb too! We each got a chocolate mousse, tiramisu & cheescake. All was amazing! Staff was supurb! Will be back soon!?“
“I have been coming here for years! Olive garden that's across the street is usually packed and lacks a ton of flavor compared to cantina D'Italia. You get much bigger portions at cantina and their lunch menu is a lot cheaper than the one across the street. The ambiance is slightly dark and a bit romantic, which I like a lot.The owners are very friendly and welcoming. I will continue to dine here for as long as I exist.5/5“
“Walking in, I was impressed by the clean, well lit building. I ordered Chicken Alfredo with penne pasta. Original cost was $13 and some change but they gave me a discount because I work in the same shopping area. When my delivery arrived I was so hungry that I forgot to take a photo! My first impression looking at it was that there was enough portions for me to eat twice which is awesome considering the the price. The sauce was definitely creamy but I felt that it could've been a bit thicker, it was a little thin. There was plenty of chicken, they did not hold back! The pasta noodles were perfect, not too hard not too soft. I do wonder about the quality of the chicken. Was it cooked that moment, earlier that day or was it frozen/precooked.. The Garlic bread was epic! Two nice toasted buttery sized pieces.. Overall I enjoyed the meal. I suspect there pizza is better so that would be my order next time I stop by. Theyve got great lunch deals soo be sure to stop by and check it out!“
“We ordered for our superbowl gathering last night. We preordered from here because it was one of the few places that allow to actually put in a future order and we didn't want to have to deal with a wait during the game/with guests. Bellas actually showed up 20 minutes earlier. Everything was hot and fresh and tasted great. This will probably end up being our new pizza delivery spot.“
“Great food and good people. The steak and cheese are great. Lots of meat and cooked perfectly. Pizzas are also great as well good dough nice sauce with good flavor base and the toppings are flavorful and plenty. Service has always been fast and friendly.“
“I ordered wings, boneless wings, fries, and pizza. The wings were very large, meaty, and delicious! The hot buffalo sauce was just the right amount. It could have been a bit spicier but then I love my food SPICY! The boneless wings were delicious and very juicy. The pizza was the best I've had in a while and definitely the best in Burke. Our food was delivered quickly and still hot. Overall it was a very good surprise - definitely exceeded what I was expecting (based on my experience with Pisano's in Alexandria and Pisano's in Bailey's Crossroads). Writing this review has got me craving Burke Pisano's pizza... gotta go and order me one!“
“I grew up with this shop, and it's just timelessly delicious. Best sandwiches and nicest staff in the free world. The Italian subs are their hallmark, but the other sandwiches are all terrific. They're stuffed to bursting with meats and cheeses, and very tasty combinations. Their to-go dinners are amazing. The picatta, lasagna, sauces, pepperoni rolls...not a bad meal to be had. Get the alfredo or sausage sauce and you'll not be sorry. The grocery part of the shop boasts selective imports from Italy, always a fun stop. Come for lunch, and pick up dinner. Greatest place in Vienna. And get the cannoli.“
“Our server was Renee and she was incredibly personable, she literally pulled us off the street, as we were looking at the menu that was just outside of the restaurant! So happy that she did, as our lunch was delicious! She was a lot of fun which always adds to the experience of eating out!“
“Havabite eatery has the best chicken souvlaki and gyro sandwiches in Northern Va. We stopped in here not expecting much but were pleasantly surprised by how good the meals were. Most other places overcook the souvlaki meat leaving it dry but at Havabite the meat was tender and well seasoned and the bread was fresh and the tzatziki sauce was yummy and creamy. The only improvement would be on the baklava, which was on the dry side. We'll definitely be back for more.“
“We were just there last weekend, and our family has been going to brunch there for many years. We usually have an omelet with home fries and toast or waffles deluxe with eggs, sausage or bacon and have never been disappointed. And note that the homemade baklava and the tiramisu are delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, we are usually waited on quickly and the staff is friendly, warm and responsive.“
“I love this cozy restaurant. My partner and I decided to have lunch here while we were out running errands. Although it was noon, it felt like dinner for us since we start our days early. We enjoyed some Italian red wines and ordered the Ricotta dip with grilled bread as a starter. I would add a small side of additional toppings for the Ricotta (honey, walnuts, salt/olive oils) as you eat down through the layers. It was delicious but the top layer was the best. We also ordered the grilled octopus appetizer with artichokes, veggies, and potatoes which was absolutely delicious! My partner tried the make your own pasta option, which he really enjoyed choosing noche with rosa sauce, chicken adding in veggies at $1 a piece upcharge. We ended our meal with a delightful crème Brulee for dessert. Our server was pleasant and attentive during our lunch stay. The atmosphere was romantic and quaint. We will definitely be back for more dates :)“
“Classic bar with Greek themed food. Awesome servers, and a decent variety of options. Trivia and poker nights add fun atmosphere and new connections. Great party room available upstairs.Parking: The library garage is just across the block. It's only a 3 minute walk. There are some lots nearby but this facility does not have any dedicated parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Not built with Ada guidelines, but you can wiggle through with a wheelchair.“
“Such a friendly place with home-style delicious food. Most of my family orders the gyro platter every time and has for years. I'm recently vegetarian, but I enjoy the pizzas, pasta and salad.Vegetarian options: Pizzas, pasta, salads, and some delicious vegetarian apps.“
“I haven't tried many things from Paisanos, but I do love their grilled chicken salad! The portion is huge and everything always tastes so fresh! Their house dressing is soooo good! I usually order delivery and they are always very prompt.“
“Okay the one star reviews are tripping not gonna lie, this pizza has such a unique flavor with a crispy exterior. Also the lady is so wholesome. Eating here is like going back home from college to your family and being treated to a big hot meal.“
“First time there. I was warmly greeted by the female employee behind the counter. I ordered a pizza . Everything was nicely packaged for carryout. All the food was delicious! I especially liked that bacon . Also the interior of the restaurant was really nice at this location.“
“We had an order placed with Dominos and they were so backed up that it would not be ready in time. Little Caesars to the rescue. I walked in, ordered at the counter and walked out less than 15 minutes later with 4 piping hot pizzas. I didn't eat them all myself, but what I had was delicious. I had to remind myself of an upcoming beach trip in order to stop myself from eating the whole pizza.“
“We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant some time ago to celebrate a special occasion over dinner. We were thoroughly impressed with every aspect of the restaurant, from the food to the drinks and the service. We tried the signature drink, Villagio Mule, a delicious combination of housemade ginger juice, lime, and a sweet note from Averna. For our appetizers, we enjoyed fresh mussels sautéed in a garlic white wine sauce and crispy fried calamari, which was perfectly cooked. We then tried two different pastas, both of which were excellent. Finally, we indulged in some delightful desserts, which were the perfect end to a perfect meal, satisfying our sweet cravings. The service was top-notch throughout our dining experience, and the ambiance of the restaurant was great. It was the ideal place to celebrate our special occasion and enjoy what life offers.“
