King Family Vineyards Winery • $$
6550 Roseland Farm, Crozet

“Today we had the privilege of visiting the King Family Vineyards and were able to immerse ourselves in the art of winemaking. In addition to an excellent tasting, we were given a first-hand explanation of how such a delicious wine is grown and how much work is involved. Many thanks to the King family and the whole team for the great experience! Highly recommended for anyone who values excellent wines and wants to enjoy them in a beautiful setting.“

Stinson Vineyards Wineries •
4744 Sugar Hollow Rd, Crozet

“This place has a hidden gem appeal, and we were pleasantly surprised with it. After coming from some very crowded wineries, it was a relief to not have to fight for a seat. I got the sweet wine flight, and it was pretty good. Everyone else in my group got the other flights, and our overall consensus was that the wine wasn't amazing but definitely decent. I also enjoyed the fire pits and the amazing view. Our experience here was relaxing, and we will be back next time we come to Charlottesville!“

“I read about this restaurant in a book called Backroads and Byways of Virginia. This morning my best friend and I were hiking the Humpback Rock Trail off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We decided to try Crozet Pizza after we got through the hike. I must say that in my 58 years that has got to be one of the very best Pizzas that I have ever eaten. The staff are very friendly, the adult beverages are very cold and the atmosphere is great. The restroom is very clean considering how much it gets used although the toilet paper is a little on the rough side. Overall this is a great place to visit and we will definitely be back.“

Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards Pet Friendly • $$
5022 Plank Rd, North Garden

“What a pleasant experience. Outstanding wine, delectable food and a view to match. This is by far one of the best wineries around. Our server, Dustin, was attentive without being overbearing - his recommendations were spot on. By the end of the meal we could’ve just asked him to bring something great and it did not disappoint. Can’t wait to return.“

Septenary Winery at Seven Oaks Farm Winery •
200 Seven Oaks Farm, Greenwood

“We came here for a outing where my friend got engaged and got our own private area where staff was excellent and we were able to escape the heat. Views are pretty but also it feels very private and homey here which is nice. We tried every single wine including the port- we were bigger fans of the red for sure but the rose was great. The cheese sticks and popcorn they offered were nice but we brought our own food in.“

Albemarle CiderWorks Winery •
2545 Rural Ridge Ln, North Garden

“This was such an unexpected find! I heard VA was known for their ciders. Ciders are typically too sweet for my taste but Albermarle offers dry ciders. It was super crisp and refreshing, especially for a hot summer day! We had our dog with us, and they were super nice and let him come inside since it was so hot outside. They also have snacks for sale and live music.“
