“My boyfriend and I stumbled across The Galley and absolutely love this restaurant. We have taken all of our friends and they are huge fans as well! The service is unmatched, especially in a time when great service is unheard of. The food is fantastic! My boyfriend thinks he is somewhat of a prime rib connoisseur, so that says a lot. They always have amazing lunch and dinner specials, and the prices are always fair. If you haven't been yet, definitely check out The Galley!“
“We stopped by for an unplanned visit and to capture the last 15 minutes of the sunset. It was a lively place, casual, and welcoming. The Bloody Mary was excellent, great choice of beers, and the friend oysters were fresh, light, & tasty.“
“The colonnade is perfection. The food top of the line in taste, presentation and portions. The service with Heather is amazing. She describes each dish and remembers everyone’s name truly exceptional. The entire evening is a special experience. Great way to celebrate the season.“
“Wonderful restaurant! Food was amazing - we're still talking about it a week later. Came with 2 young kids and the staff was extremely kind and accommodating. Highly recommend!!! We will definitely be back!Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating for young children!“
“Amazing food, service and ambience! We got a spot by the fireplace and we got our anniversary recognized with a small champagne and a sparkler, which was a wonderful detail! There are vegan, vegetarian and meat/seafood options galore. Definitely would like to go back sometime! Would highly recommend if you're visiting!“
“Always good. Cheeseburger smashed just right, melted cheese dripping with goodness. Tried the BBQ with Cole slaw today, pretty good. Burger still the best. Employees could not be nicer. When you see the construction workers queuing up at 11:30, you know you are in the right place for some good food. Not fancy, just delicious.“
“What a perfect spot for a romantic getaway or a leisurely weekend on the Northern Neck! My dear bride and I spent out 42nd wedding anniversary (I KNOW, can you imagine?) as guests in the Madison cottage. Such a warm and comfortable and private place to settle in for a few days. Great bed, great amenities, even a kitchy but cute electric "fireplace" to keep things warm. The restaurant was also a hit. Our room came with free breakfast, and it was very generous. Wife's Benedict was absolutely perfectly prepared, with great hollandaise. My spinach scramble was absolutely decadent, every bite had a tug of a cheese pull, and the bacon and onions that were intermixed were just the perfect pairing with the fresh spinach. The hotel is an excellent place for a special stay -- it isn't inexpensive. But it is worth it. And the meal we had has us planning a return trip, just to eat in the restaurant. 6 out of 5.“
“The Office is a charming and inviting place to dine. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal of fillet mignon and lobster ravioli with and appetizer of blood orange scallops and a chocolate chip cookie sundae for dessert. The service was some of the best I've experienced. The server was polite, funny and engaging. She was the perfect mix of personality and professionalism. The food was prepared exceptionally well and, per my wife, her fillet was cooked to perfection. The homemade pasta was delicious and perfectly cooked and I thoroughly enjoyed the kale as a side. I like well prepared scallops and these were definitely well prepared. I highly recommend them. The sundae was good though not exceptional. The restaurant itself was well appointed and comfortable. The only complaint we had, and this is a small thing, was that the noise level became difficult as the restaurant filled up. Unfortunately, I believe this is simply the result of the building itself and beyond their control. This was our first visit but we will be returning to try some of the other menu items. I am especially excited to try the ribs as they looked and smelled wonderful. My only suggestions are that you go hungry and most definitely make a reservation.“
“My wife and I heard about this restaurant from some friends and we decided to try it out for lunch on a beautiful Friday afternoon. We got there at about 2:30 and the staff were eager to help and serve us. We were the only people in a very nice dining area which did not distract from excellent service. We order a glass of wine and a Draft beer. Full lunch menu and we order the grilled chicken sandwich and the Philly Steak sandwich. Both were excellent and well prepared. Also had some onion rings and fries and they too were great. excellent experience and we will return.“
“Wowsers. Small but great. Had the special, shrimp and grits. Whoa ? is was awesome. You would never think the combination could be so delicious. The shrimp was cooked with a little bit of spice and then added it in with some sausage and sauce... holy crow.“
“This place is a 10. Exceptional food and service. Our waitress Tia was awesome. Great ambiance. The legit, authentic and delicious lumpia was a very nice surprise. The jumbo shrimp cocktail, the shrimp, filet and scallop kabob, the jumbo beer batter shrimp, and potato au gratin, loaded baked potato etc etc were all perfect. My highest possible recommendations. We will definitely be back.“
“We were in town for a Chrismas getaway. We showed up 5 minutes before closing and asked if we could get some food. The lady working said absolutely. She made our food and drinks and stayed 15 minutes past closing. The food was great and the coffees were good as well. Great staff and food.“
