“Called in my order for lunch and I got extra dish for dinner! I got chili with cheese and order of fries with cheese sauce for a mega lunch with left overs for another meal. They also had individual Chicken Pot Pies (seasonal) in a cute decorated box with a top crust cut out like a Christmas tree - so cute! And the soft gingerbread cookies (also seasonal) - wonderfully delicious! Local people making delicious comfort food for their community!”

“Pantoufle is a must for anyone who loves good food.
We were two Brits on a tour from New Orleans to New York, arriving in Floyd on a Saturday.  After sampling mainly burgers, grits and gumbo for 11 days, we wanted to taste something different. We called in to Pantoufle on a whim and got a warm welcome. The French twist on familiar foods was tempting; we both enjoy visiting France so tried our luck. Happily, we were accommodated in the fully booked restaurant as soon as we arrived. How lucky we were!
My wife started with the leek and potato soup, then had the braised short rib ( as close to the french Boeuf Bourgignon as she can remember) with mashed potatoes. I started with bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar; you can tell a lot about a restaurant by the standard of bread and it was obviously home made. I progressed onto a white bean and slow-cooked shoulder of pork dish topped with fennel. It was excellent.
The wine was very reasonably priced, compared with all our other nights in the US, and delicious (we went with the recommendation of the owner, Grayson). It was a taste of France in Floyd.
Were I to return I would ask Grayson what he would recommend and not even look at the menu, such was my confidence in his knowledge, chef and desire to please.
We went on our way with delicious chocolates from his adjacent shop.

Tim and his partner are gracious and passionate about their wines. All selections in their wine tasting are worth the trip! Italian wines are generally underrated and great values when compared to comparables from Chili, California and France.....
The 2020 "Buffalo" Cab Franc is an exceptional wine! ....Future renditions of this limited production are worth waiting for! A value at any price!
I'm going back to try their wood fired pizza with one of their select wines!

“Just by chance myself and my girlfriend were riding the Blue Ridge Parkway and was looking for someplace to eat and I just took off onto Rt 8 and she pulled up The Parkway Grille. Let me say that the little young one that took us to our seat was so attentive and amazed me of how young she was and sharp as a tack!!! Big compliments to the Chefs and the kitchen and the servers! The sandwiches that we both had were Hot served and were amazingly delicious!!! We were from Lynchburg and never had ever been in that quaint Little gem of a town of Floyd! We fell in Love with it and the Parkway Grille! We will be back! We both gladly will give y'all a 5 Star rating!❤️☮️⚜️”

“every since I first bought a Hunt Brothers pizza I was sold to deliciousness. I worked for pizza hut at the time and the second time I bought a Hunt Brothers pizza I told the clerks at the store the pizza to me is better than Pizza Hut. then I seen the sign in the window and found out Hunt Brothers has breakfast pizza and it's been a little over four years now and Hunt Brothers pizza is all I buy. what I love is taste, quality, price and fact the toppings don't cost extra. keep up the good work and keep the customers happy. “My wife and I have been going to Chateau Morrisette for a while and enjoying the live music and tasting room. We were in Floyd for a weekend and decided to have our special meal here at the Chateau restaurant. It was a phenomenal meal with great food, service, and a wonderful atmosphere. It is definitely in a league of its own and competes with any high end restaurant that I have ever eaten at regardless of location. Highly recommended!”

“I live in Las Vegas and was traveling through Virginia for the holidays. I googled this wonderful coffee shop so as picky as I am, I figured why not try it since it was a local owned shop. I'm tired of these name brand places so I prefer locally private owners.
I was absolutely impressed!!! Not only was the coffee perfect, but they also provide ordering and shipping off their website. The location is a local charm, very great atmosphere to be in, and there is a large bean roaster in the back that you can watch so it's definitely made fresh.
