The service was wonderful! My visit was like a taste away from home! I enjoyed eating my doubles for the first time. It tasted just like the one I always eat at Independence Square, Port of Spain. I normally travel as far as Georgia or Washington DC to get some Trini food but glad I heard of La Rue Pomme to enjoy some good food and snacks!!! Thank you

My mother is from Trinidad so sweet sweet TNT is in my blood. Previously, I could only get doubles when I went back home to Baltimore, but my wife told me about a hidden gem called La Rue Pomme. She told me about it early last week, so I’ve been impatiently waiting until Saturday to roll up and get some authentic Trini food. I FaceTimed my mom and showed her what I was about to get into. Chef was so personable, and it was awesome to hear my mother and him talk over FaceTime about cuisine from back home. I bought two doubles and the fish sandwich. Damn!!! I felt like Keith Lee in my driver seat as I said “fa sho you right on” ?. The couple that owns this food stand is wonderful and the food is 100000% authentic. I even got some free peanut punch! I’ll be back every Saturday. Everyone should check them out!P.S. I meant to take pictures but my eyes/stomach got the better of me. I will next week!

I found the double and the fish to be delicious. I felt it was quite authentic, but have no basis for comparison. Service was quick, the food hot and fresh. Banana soda is amazing as is the Bentley lime drink.

Fish sandwich was amazing and the doubles are great. I could have eaten a dozen of them. Arnold the owner is the sweetest guy in the world. Go try some of their authentic Caribbean food.

Awesome Trinidadian food van. The place to get a fish sandwich. It's called Fish and Bake in Trinidad but it's the best fish sandwich you'll ever have. They are only open on Saturdays. Awesome people, great service and great food.

Excellent authentic food and drinks from Trinidad. Doubles are one of the most unique things I have eaten from around the world. These taste just like the ones you get at street food vendors in Trinidad! People need to come try this food and experience something that you don't often find outside of the Caribbean.

Hands down the best Caribbean food you can find in Lynchburg/Forest. I had the doubles and biscuit and fish so far and it was sooo good!! The food was nicely seasoned and had some authentic Caribbean drinks on the side. The family that owns the food truck is nice and friendly.
