“Coming from North Carolina, this hole-in-the-wall restaurant exceeded our expectations. Not only was the service phenomenal, but the quality of the food was as authentic to Mexico as one could imagine. From the first bite, I was encapsulated by the flavor and aroma of the food. If you are ever in the Williamsburg area, this is a must-go place. I will definitely be returning whenever I'm in the area.“

The carne asada plates came out with inconsistent amount of toppings but that was the only complaint. The waiter was very attentive and the food was great. The place is also very kid friendly.“

“This place was close to my hotel in South Williamsburg. We were the only people in the restaurant at about 9:30am on a weekday. I had the meat omelet, and it was delicious! We returned the next day and I had the breakfast sampler, and again the meal was very nice and flavorful. I don't know why more people do not show up here for breakfast? Give Los Paisanos a try!“

Plus, I was given chips and homeade salsa with my to go order which I did not expect. I loved the garlicky salsa and the chips were very fresh. This is the best Mexican food I've had in Newport News, VA.Vegetarian options: Various vegetarian lunch menu dishes and dinner menu items. I'm not a vegetarian, but the first time I eat anywhere I prefer vegetarian options. I feel if you can't do veggies right, there might be problems. Chichuahua's food is VERY good. “I have tried nearly every Mexican restaurant in the area, in hopes of finding a good, crunchy Chimichanga ... this place is the winner for best Chimichanga! I also love the Tomatillo sauce for dipping ... fantastic! However, having said that my last experience was not so pleasant. Our server was not attentive at all .... AGAIN!. And were not offered free refills after returning with our checks. We were not even asked how the food was. The place was not crowded, so this should not have been an issue. I was in a few nights ago for a take out order and the packing was terrible lids not covered tightly so things leaked. Time before that I ordered the nacho supreme with no beef only chicken and received beef & chicken. A few other substitutes on my order and none were done. Very disappointing.“

“I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always been great. Tonight I had the chicken and shrimp fajitas and was impressed with the portion size. It was delicious!I thought it felt like things were missing and realized when I got home it’s because there wasn’t rice and beans on one plate with the lettuce, tomato and guac on the side or even on a separate plate. This time it was just beans no rice on the same plate as lettuce, tomato and guac. Would have been great with cheese but it was delicious without it.I will continue to recommend this place because the food is always good and the staff is very welcoming.Dietary restrictions: I don’t eat beef or pork and love that there are plenty of foods I can choose from that taste good. “I have to say the nice lady that took my order over the phone earlier she answered my question and my order was exactly how I wanted it and she was really nice even when I came to pick up my order , the food tasted great ! I’ll be coming back to this location just based off the staff , I have one in my city and I rather drive 30 minutes away just because of the staff ! Keep up the great work“

“Last night was the second time eating at this restaurant. Both times were great. Last night they were extremely busy. However, the staff were polite, stocked up on food and quick serving us. The food was good and they always have a wonderful selection of hot sauce to try. The kitchen and lobby looked clean even during the rush. I would definitely recommend over their competitors in the fast food Mexican bowl/ wrap game.“

“There was Mariachi music playing to greet the busy lunch crew. We were seated quickly, given the parking lot was jam packed. Our waitress took our drink order right away. She returned with chips, salsa and ranch dressing (that one threw us for a loop). She took our orders and within minutes our food was out to the table. The beef taco and enchilada had a good flavor, but was on the greasy side. Portions were good sized! They offer a nice sized lunch menu. Alcoholic beverages, desserts, and have a large dinner menu. Our waitress was attentive. We were in and out in approximately 40 , but didn't feel rushed! We will be back!“

“Great food!! This place has the best tamales and sopes ever!! I appreciate the freshness of the food and the flavors were spot on. They have booths and table seating. The service was good. The waitress answered my questions. The only item I didn't care for was the rice. It wasn't flavorful at all. But I would go back and just not order the rice. The sopes have so much flavor and were very filling. They even had a char on the bottom. They have salsa verde, green sauce, and the red sauce. The red sauce is too spicy for me, but the green had just enough "kick." I can't wait to go back!!“

Love the style and decor of the place. They do have patio seating and a bar that plays the sports games. Take out is an option.“
