“The food was amazing, the service was amazing, the drinks were amazing. We did the 3 course dinning option and it was worth every penny. I will def be back to try more food options and enjoy the balcony when the weather is warmer. The space is very mature and sexy.“

“It was our first time trying Oak in this location and overall it was good. I always have an issue with places that charge for bread, but we gave it a whirl and it was not worth the money, it was dry and unimpressive as was the crudo appetizer, which also lacked flavor but was fresh. The entree part of the meal was the shining moment with a NY strip steak cooked to perfection and accompanied by mashed potato puree and roasted carrots that were all superb. Great hand-crafted cocktails and wine also were a hit!!“

“I did a take out of their delicious Aloo and piyaz pakoras for our Iftari a week or so ago. The packaging was great which included a generous amount of their tasty green chutney. I glanced at their menu main items and their prices seemed high. Manager/owner and helper were polite and friendly. Great efficient service. Good restaurant atmosphere. I wish them success with their new desi restaurant.“

“I really enjoyed my experiences at the The Walrus. They have fresh shucked oysters, the Wally's are the house oyster and they were very good. I think I tried every fresh oyster and there were some excellent options that I thoroughly enjoyed. I also had the lobster roll togo and it was loaded with lobsta. They crab cakes were ok, but they are not using fresh local crab meat. The service was fantastic, it's what had me return, a great experience! The great fresh oysters were also a draw for me.“

“Shilling is probably the most underrated restaurant in DC.Every single item I’ve ever gotten from them has been phenomenal, I’ve yet to have a bad dish. The service feels like you’re part of the family there, where you constantly have a team checking in on you.I cannot recommend this place enough, it beats out several Michelin star restaurants in DC in terms of food and quality, not to mention their cocktails are some of the best in the area.“

“My hubby and I have been to Carlyle twice. Both times we shared the Judith Point calamari with the corn salsa. Calamari preparation can range from horribly rubbery and tasteless, to just “meh,” or to what Carlyle has done with it - fried to perfection, with complementary flavors in the sauces and corn salsa- for the win!I ordered the smoked salmon on my first visit two years ago, and because it was so tastefully prepared, I couldn’t bring myself to try another dish. It is just delicious.Hubby ordered crab cakes, along with coleslaw and shoestring fries. Crab cakes were meaty and flavorful. Sides were good.Atmosphere and service are good. I love that it’s in a walkable area, just a few blocks from the Shirlington Hilton. Give Carlyle a try!“

“This was my second time going but my mother's first time. I was taking her as an early Mother's Day gift and boy can I say she was very pleased with the experience. The servers are very attentive and polite. Food is constantly flowing. The food quality is top tier. It's always hot and delicious. This has easily become one of my new favorite places for brunch. We will be back.“

“They were amazing with my milk allergy and super friendly. We never had to ask for a refill or anything; someone was there quickly to help us with whatever before we had to ask. We visited from 9.5 hours away, but will be recommending to everyone we know that’s coming this way for vacation! It was a nice little hidden gem!“

“Sat the bar on a solo sunday funday. It's on a nice street with street vendors. I came for the food and wasn't disappointed. The she crab soup was very good. I can't tell if the base was store bought but amount of sherry was spot on. I would probably say that if I wanted she crab soup, I'd go here from here on out. They had some soft shells and they were delicious. I should have asked for capers but that's just my preference. Drinks were well made. All in all, a tasty treat. I can't speak to the dinner experience though I'm tempted to try.“

“An absolute gem! Everyone was lovely, the cocktails AND mocktails were delicious, and the small plates were to die for! Can't wait to go back and dig into their wine list. Don't leave without the trying the charred dates or the fried goat cheese, they're knockouts!!Vegetarian options: Some veg small plates, would love to see more veg entrees on the menu“

“Everything about this diner is absolutely out-standing! Came in for my birthday brunch, just my Bestfriend and I. Had the “SHRIMP AND GRITS” and listen… the hands down most amazing flavors. Just delicious! She had the steak frites and absolutely loved it! Highly recommend“

“Got take out dinner twice now, was afraid I’d regret not getting the almond rainbow trout again, but the pumpkin ravioli was equally delicious and now I’ll be thinking of both dishes after I leave this city. The rainbow trout and pumpkin ravioli were cooked perfectly with amazing flavor, but they also added a dipping sauce that I now want for ALL fish going forward. My family ate Circa burgers and said it was good. The tuna poke nacho appetizer was just alright, because I don’t care for the nacho chips. I’d eat the poke with steamed rice though, or as poke tacos. I will recommend Circa to anyone I know traveling to DC. And I do have one more night here so I might go back yet again…prices not bad.“

“We love The Majestic and dine here often. Great for a special occasion and also for a ransom weekday evening. The food is always great and the service (Ellie in particular) is top notch! If you like an Old Fashioned this one is spectacular... try it smoked!“

“First time there and I took the recommendation of the friendly counter person the “Livid Lamb” and Spicy fries. It’s fresh, tasty and an amazing alternative to the typical fast food burger places. Clean, friendly staff and good food very reasonably priced… what more can you ask for? Halal conscious but there’s bacon and booze too. Highly recommend!“

“Borrowing from their words. More than 30 years later, the Silver Diner has gone from a nostalgic American icon serving affordable family food to a highly overrated restaurant serving overpriced food that allegedly reflect’s today’s lifestyles. But the one thing that will never change is the stench of their restrooms throughout the diner.“

“I had a great time at Burton’s Grill (Alexandria) yesterday (9/30/23). The food was amazing, the drinks were good and strong. The staff was awesome. The GM came and introduced himself to us. The chef came out and talked to us about our food allergies. Our server “T” was as so amazing. She went above and beyond. I really enjoyed myself and I will be back.“

“Miko, my server was excellent. As a solo vacationer and I was there they during off hours he was kind enough to engage in casual conversation, very pleasant. This location was perfect for outside dining where there the foot traffic was not distracting. The burger was cooked to perfection as ordered and the shoestring fries were delicious as well. Highly recommended.“

“On my plate were mash potates and a creamy sauce in small bowls along with 3 small steaks and mixed vegetables with brussel sprouts. Everything on the plate was good except the vegetables. They needed to be cooked longer with more seasoning.Kid-friendliness: Fun for the whole family to dine and enjoy.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access.“

“Our server was amiable and attentive. The food was great and even my picky teens were able to find something they liked. It was a nice touch to show our visiting guest a little history since we also were able to visit the museum next door after brunch.“

“I was truly blown away by how delicious every single dish at The Study was. As a Guatemalan, I found the creative use of Latin American ingredients and flavors in the unique dishes at The Study not only interesting and creative but also familiar and nostalgic. I love it when food takes me to a happy place. Chef Tomas Chavarria and chef Madeline Guzman can really create magic in the kitchen. Some of my favorite dishes included the kalbi ssam short rib lettuce wraps, the sweet plantain empanadas, the Costa Rican ceviche, the duck magret and achiote, the tres leches, and the coffee flan. I also loved the seasonal cherry blossom-inspired cocktail and the mocktail they prepared specially for me. I really loved the ambiance, and even though I had dinner here with friends, I think this is the perfect restaurant for a date night or for celebrating something special.“

“Food is awesome. Appetizers is fairly large, we had cheese curds and the pretzel, and delicious. Following that up main meal was cheese burger w/ onion rings and korean BBQ hoagie w/ truffle fries. Hoagie was outlandishly good. Onions rings and truffle fries were great. Burger was good but wasn't cooked to asked doneness, minor grievance. Our server was someone in training and she did fine. Came and checked in on us, had recommendations, etc. I think only real downside is the price as it is a tad pricey. The meal with 2 beers before tip was just under $80. Speaking of beer though, one heck of a selection. My only other downside was that the music was a touch loud as well I thought but really it was a place I'd go back to again.“

“I have been in the area working for years and never knew this place existed, and you could easily walk by if you didn't know that it was there. Once inside, there are a couple of chairs for folk to sit and wait and a couple for folk to eat. I was surprised because the food was reasonably priced for the area. Additionally, you got a fair amount of food. I got a cheeseburger, I would have preferred the sliders but they were out. My burger was cooked great and the fries were good too and they weren't heavily salted. I'd recommend calling in your order if you can, staff was kind, I'd definitely return.“

“Our server Jayla was awesome! She was very friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. weather was gorgeous outside and the outdoor patio was well covered, but we decided to sit inside. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. Jayla asked if it was our first time at Blackwall Hitch, which it was, so she went over the local favorites. She recommended the flaming crab dip and it was delicious!!! Jayla offered us extra Naan chips which I thought was generous for an upscale restaurant. I asked if she could bring us extra with a to-go box to take the rest of the dip. We also had the mahi mahi tacos and chicken-pancetta flatbread - both were great. Jayla often checked on us. We had a lovely time and the service was great! Thank you!“

“I've been coming here for years and the breakfast is always on point. However its worth mentioning that server Luladay is the greatest!! She's always super welcoming and knows my order. Definitely part of the reason I enjoy coming here for breakfast at least once a week!“
“This restaurant located on the second floor inside the Hyatt Regency was pretty good for a hotel restaurant. The breakfast buffet (with an omelette station!) had a lot of options and there along with a menu if you didn't want the buffet. The service was very good and the staff was friendly and attentive. I would recommend eating here if you're staying in the hotel!“

“The food was fantastic. We had the free-range bison tartare, carrot salad with puff pastry, striploin steak and double-ravioli with cheese, potatoes and Brussel sprouts. The only challenge that we had was the acoustics; if we lived in the neighborhood, we'd come back on an off-hour during the week :)“

“Five stars hands down! The manager Scott was amazing. I have zero complaints about the service. The environment was perfect and the food was amazing. I had the Reuben and cheese and the sauce that comes with it was so good. It was the best sandwich I've ever had. My husband and sister in law had a burger and it was thick and juicy. The popcorn was bursting with flavor. All around this is the best experience I've had in a while eating out. I HIGHLY recommend this place.“

“Fast & friendly service and some very nice pasta for lunch... Nicer than I expected from the decor which was a bit old & tired - I probably wouldn't have tried the place, if it weren't for seeing other good reviews! Could stand to turn the AC down a bit “
“Filming at District Winery was fun. The venue's stunning views, with the nearby tree park in the middle of DC adding a touch of natural beauty, provided a romantic backdrop for capturing every moment of the wedding day. The waterfront setting was perfect for capturing the bridal party and celebration shots after the ceremony, with the shimmering water adding a touch of romance to the footage. The food was absolutely amazing and pleased both the couple and their guests with its flavors. As night fell, the venue transformed into a magical scene with all the outdoor lights aglow, creating a photogenic backdrop for capturing memories throughout the day. With its perfect blend of city vibes and waterfront charm, District Winery is truly a gem in the heart of DC. I highly recommend this venue to couples seeking a city vibe setting for their wedding day.“

“My compliments to the chef. We had the short rib, salmon, and onion tart. Some of the most thoughtful and flavorful food I’ve had in DC. My fiance and I agreed the cocktails were the best we’ve had in a while. Too many restaurants aren’t worth the price of admission. Jackie is worth every penny.“
“Good place to run and out. The drive thru can't handle the number of cars sometimes because of the way it's positioned. I wished they'd open up the restaurant part again it was a great place to sit and eat. The neighborhood actually needs a place like this. The in store service is just ok nothing to scream about but they'll take care of you“

“A lovely place to celebrate a birthday or anything else, or just because. The wagyu and brussel sprouts were delicious, finished with a birthday treat light and fluffy mango popsicle dessert, also a sweet delicious surprise. I will definitely dine here again. Our server only checked on us once, yet the place was not crowded on a Friday night in late January, so 4 stars for that.“
“Looking for a fun activity with our family before Thanksgiving, we chose bowling. The prices were definitely cheaper than commercial locations. The place was clean with stations every few lanes with balls organized by color and weight. There were ramps available for anyone to use if necessary. There is also the ability to set bumpers to raise and lower for an individual in your group. You have the ability to edit your score, which is great because a few times pins would fall on their own and add to the score. There were options for scoring using regular bowling rules or other fun games. While we didn’t eat there, but there were plenty of food and drink selections. My only issue was the balls were very oily and the finger holes were very small. Staff said that’s how they were ordered but offered me a small container of baby powder to use.“

“While spending a long weekend in Charles County, my wife and I were looking for an upscale dining experience; which we found at Lucianna’s! The ambiance, service and food were all great! We both enjoyed the full rodizio experience which was fantastic! The hot and cold bars had an excellent selection of fresh food, and the table side cut meats were cooked and seasoned to perfection! Favorites of ours were the lamb, picanha, bacon wrapped chicken, sausage and the garlic bread! Both the strawberry lemonade; and the tipsy version for my wife were great! Overall very enjoyable unique experience which I look forward to my next time in town!!“

“This carryout has a nice small town feel. The restaurant is cozy, and the location is great. The menu looks really intriguing, enough to go back multiple times and try more items. The Smoked Turkey Club was a great sandwich to enjoy. However, what they call jerk chicken for their jerk chicken sandwich is anything but. It was a bit disappointing, but it won’t stop me from going back to try other menu items“

“We had not been here in a long, long time, but decided to go again after touring it as a potential venue for one of our son's weddings. Unfortunately, the size of the largest room could not accommodate his group, but we loved the location and ambiance. So my spouse and i went there to celebrate our anniversary last night. When I booked online, I had requested the oldest room, which dates back to the 1700's and has a huge fireplace, old walls, original floors. When we got there we were told that they had closed that room due to a wedding outside of it that we would be able to see through the windows, but had set a table up in there just for us, if we wanted to sit there. We were blown away and said yes. We had our own room, the waiter was VERY attentive, honestly, we felt like VIP's. This kind of treatment for folks who are not known or regulars was outstanding. The food was ok, not the very best, but nice. We are used to fine dining and outstanding food. Overall, the experience was lovely. We finished up the evening sitting in front of the huge old fireplace, with a roaring fire, sharing a dessert and sipping an after dinner drink. Cedar Knoll TAKE A BOW!“
