Was busy, service and food on point. Working my way through the menu, had the bangers and mash this time very good.Music, MarJo Deluxe was great, second time listening to them will come back for more.Over all great food, good atmosphere will return!

Went there about a month ago, not a good experience. The place is old in a bad way, run down. Service was poor. Ordered the fish and chips. When it arrived the fish was greasey and the breading was falling off. Will not return.

Colonial tavern is a piece of Fredericksburg history that Is the home of an authentic Irish restaurant. I've been eating there for years. Delightful staff and delicious food. Dream pleasant weather the back patio is terrific.

12/15 Bar Manager very unfriendly towards my wife while sitting at bar. Threatened to call police to have us escorted out & we weren't making any trouble. I asked for check & it had note on bottom saying "Weird Elderly Couple", I still started to leave a tip then after what he said to my wife I scratched it out & put $0.00 for tip & then we left. Will not be coming back to a place with employees that treat customer's like they are trash.

An historical and truly enjoyable afternoon pub to visit in the heart of the downtown Fredericksburg area. Close to everything, a great menu, and a dedicated staff make the Irish brigade a spot that should be in everyone's list....
