The soup was really good. Shrimp and grits were tasty with good spicy sauce. The toasted bread served with it was burned and still served. The Chicken and waffle was okay but nothing special.
I love Foode it’s one of my favorite places to eat downtown! I’m just going to be honest here, I’m not a fan of the brunch & lunch menu anymore. It’s gone downhill. It’s a very limited menu now and there’s been a lot of changes this April 2026 from last October 2025. I called the restaurant at 2:45 in the afternoon to see what the catch of the day was going to be. I was told they did not know what it was going to be yet because it had not been delivered. Delivery was to be at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. They Receive their produce and fish fresh every day so it’s fresh to the customer. No qualms with that. I called back after 3 o’clock that afternoon, and the woman who picked up told me that the catch of the day was Marissa couscous....
