La Petite Auberge is a fantastic French restaurant located in Downtown Fredericksburg. The quaint spot offers an authentic "Francaise" experience, from the patio on the sidewalk to the classic and post-modern art adorning the walls. The menu features a variety of appetizing options, including delicious stuffed mussels and crisp, tender calamari. For the main course, the shrimp and scallops, as well as the Rockfish, are highly recommended. The blueberry bread pudding with Jack Daniels sauce is a must-try for dessert. The service is attentive, with the server providing excellent recommendations that perfectly matched the dishes. While the restaurant may not be the most kid-friendly, it offers a few vegetarian and dietary-restricted options. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but the overall experience at La Petite Auberge is well worth the effort.
