“Definitely seeing improvement!I've been ordering here for about a year and a half and I gotta say the food has lost definitely gotten way better. The orange chicken is very flavorful compared to when I first ordered and the crab Rangoon is now actual crab meat instead of filling. Very enjoyable and reasonably priced.“

“Great food and service! The family and I dined at Asahi for the first since before COVID. As expected fantastic food, we all ordered either the sushi or sashimi all you can eat dinner. Service seemed a little slow but did not diminish the experience. Sorry did take pictures.Update: B-day dinner for one of the kidlets. We all got the all you can eat sushi and had a great time with good food. Great service as always.“

The food was absolutely amazing I ordered beef and broccoli with the Chicken Teryaki stick on the side it was delicious the food was hot and there was no wait time definitely found my new favorite chinese food place.“

“Food was OK order from GrubHub. Got the shrimp egg foo young they gave me a little bit of gravy for three cakes and a lot of white rice, Crab Rangoon was good, fried wonton was OK but not enough meat, The owner was so nice to replace my order of shrimp egg foo young with extra gravy“

“This is by far the best Chinese in town and I've gone to many Chinese restaurants in my life from VA. to Fla.I go at least once a week, twice this week. Elaine at the window is so nice. Their chicken with vegetables AND chicken fried rice are excellent. The soups, all their food is so dang good with great prices too!! This place is a win/win. Try it. You will not be disappointed!!“

“China Ocean is our favorite Chinese place in the area for pickup. They do not have a seating area (the location just isn't big enough for one), and I believe they only deliver within a very small range (we live too far away). Also, some of their items are NOT good for leftovers, which can be dissapointing if you're like me, and enjoy leftovers the next day (sesame chicken is one of them). It is great food if you plan to eat everything within an hour or two of picking it up!“

“These negative reviews are so wrong. Hong Kong in Poquoson makes the best Chinese food you will ever have. Those complaining about bad service need to get over themselves, the family at this business works very hard and this restaurant is incredibly busy all days of the week. I've been eating here for 20 years. Although their manners are not overly polite, they are never rude. Hong Kong Poquoson has very good portion sizes for the price of their food and the food is made fresh every order. Sometimes I'll order from them multiple times a week it's just that good of Chinese food.“

“Love this take out spot, always great food made very quickly. The Lo Mein is the greatest in the area, and their steamed dumplings are my personal favorite. A little hard to hear with their microphone system but still good service either way, always satisfied here.“

“Close to the hotel we stayed at. Standard Chinese menu. The wonton soup was tasty. I liked the eggrolls. The sesame chicken was good. The beef lo mein was good also. A few tables for eating in the restaurant. The sweet and sour chicken had small pieces of chicken but the chicken that was in it was really good. The lady that took our order was friendly. They do offer a small military discount which is much appreciated. The fried rice was just okay. The prices were really good.“

“I used to live in Hampton and have a go to Chinese takeout place there growing up and looked forward to Tuesdays dinners. But, since moving to Newport News and realizing 5 years have passed, that's what China King has become for me. My new go-to that I look forward to when the household agrees to takeout. I love their General Tso's Chicken, Sweet&Sour Chicken, Steamed Dumplings, and Crab Ragoons. The woman working the cash register is so sweet!“

“Believe the hype!I don’t write reviews unless the food quality is actually great. This is the freshest Chinese food I’ve had in this area, it’s exactly the nostalgic kind of Chinese food I’ve been craving and can’t find anywhere else. The serving size was perfect for the price. With the inflation you can’t expect to feed a family of four with $20 so it’s unrealistic for people to ask of that. However if it’s an occasional treat this is perfect!The location is great, and the building is what you’d expect out of a traditional take out place. People are rude with their reviews because they expect something this place isn’t.The egg rolls that everyone loves to complain about in the reviews are actually a very specific type of egg roll that their uncultured behind probably aren’t aware of.“
