“This is my 3rd time updating my review here. It's gone from 4 to 1 to 5... Their price jump was a deal breaker years ago. That being said their quality has stayed high and their food has always been tasty. Compare that to the drop in quality and taste with the other Peruvian chicken places in the area. Not fair the other places have such high ratings just because they get more foot traffic. I'd travel a little farther to spend more money for Pollo Peru.Chicken is always tasty and not dry. Sides, especially the yuca and sweet potato fries, are always good. Sauces are also good. It's rare to find a chicken place that does even 2 of 3 three successfully.If you're looking for gigantic portions of bland food, this isn't the place. There are countless chicken places that give tasteless food in overfilled boxes. Yes Pollo peru's prices are higher than those places and you get less food. I prefer to pay for the quality and taste.“

“I always use the in-app ordering method and it always goes well planned. Not really a drive through person, plus I need the deals in their app lol.Their app works great and they always get my order right unlike Mcdonald's. I've had my delicious chicken here hundreds of times they get my order right every time and when they don't they give back. There's been several experiences where I've had to wait and only one experience where my chicken was actually dry but typically they are on top of it and bring out my food on time and it comes out great :)“
“For the first time I go to the site, for a promotion that they offer from Monday to Thursday of Chicken Nuggets with a SIDE (chips, fried yucca or salad) and bread or tortilla with soda or juice with refill. I really liked that in addition to the soda and nestea they offer fruit juice (mango), Jamaica flower and horchata. The young woman who helped me, a Salvadoran woman, was very attentive and helpful (I forgot her name) but I give her 5 stars for her kindness and attention. It is a simple place, I think with a capacity of approximately 30 people. I saw that they order a lot to take away.“

New "home style" mac 'n cheese was ok (very rich), spicy chicken sandwich was juicy and had a good amount of the spicy mayo and pickles. May be my imagination but it didn't seem as spicy as other ones I've had in the past. Generally clean, table wipedowns could be more frequent, floor was a bit slippery.“

A 50% thinner cut with an extra pickle or two would've gone a long way on getting the taste on every biteI'll definitely go back, but will probably try the Chicken Waffles instead of the sandwich. “Hangry Joe’s is great, especially with this location. Unlike the other hangry Joe’s in Fairfax, they serve boba tea, which is actually pretty good. Prices are reasonable and affordable for nearby students. Their food does take time, about 20-30 minutes, as they have with my order, but, overall, pretty good hot fried chicken. I think the only suggestion I have would be to make the spice more infused on the chicken, and not to hide the bread underneath. It seems like my fingers are red with the chili spice powder to spice the chicken, and I didn’t realize there was bread until I was halfway into the chicken.“
