Linden Vineyards

Based on our recent visits, Linden has corrected the issues that caused some of the bad reiews of the past. We are not club members and reserved a tasting in September 2023. My wife was not participating. The staff offered her a choice among several rooms in which to sit and asked if she preferred the windows open or closed, and then brought her a blanket and water to drink - they couldn't have been more accommodating. My wife and I had a pleasant time visiting Linden and would recommend it to true wine enthusiasts. The owner Jim founded Linden back in the 80s and has been a major influence in Virginia wine and his focus is the wine and the success of it in Virginia. His staff cares about the vineyard and wine just as much as he does and we really enjoyed our tasting there as a result. So I'd say all the reviews here are both true and false, regardless of whether they're 5 stars or 1. It's hilarious that Linden gets about the lowest rating average of any winery in the area. If this were based on wine alone, it's absolutely false. Jim Law is a pioneer of wine-making in the region and it shows - the wines are really some of the best you're going to find in Virginia, whatever issues one might have with the hospitality.
