“Love this place! I come in all the time and get the fried rice, but the curry and pad thai are also excellent.Vegetarian options: Not every dish on the menu can be served without meat, but many can! Tofu is an option for lots of the dishes that would normally have meat, and many of the curries don't have meat either.“
“I enjoyed the ambiance, most of the food and choice of music. I did not particularly care for the crab rangoon. I tasted all cream cheese and green onion and could not taste any crab meat at all. The mocktail mango tango was just ok; It was a really sweet juice. I wanted to get a full experience to be able to take pictures of the way my food was brought out on the pink holding trays because this was my first time; but I was not given that option because my food was brought out in someone's hands. As I looked around, everyone else had the pink carrying tray left on their table, so I was a little upset about that. All in all, I would come back because the appetizer chili wings were good, and so was my shrimp and chicken pineapple curry fried rice.Parking: The parking is a little scarce because it is next to some high volume restaurants and businesses for example Chipotle, rent-a-, center and quickway.Kid-friendliness: The music isn't loud or vulgar, the place is nicely decorated and kids can sit and enjoy a nice Thai meal.Wheelchair accessibility: It's all on one level and the chairs can be taken away to accommodate a person within a wheelchair.“

“Jackpot! I've been at this plaza every other week for a year and never noticed this spot. Thank goodness we decided we found this place as we searched for a new Thai spot to try. The food was just outstanding! The perfect amount of zest in the Tom Yum soup, authentic flavors and chewiness of the Phad Thai, and the super crispy, but moist, fried chicken served with the gai grob massaman. The servers were incredible attentive and carried a positive attitude. Like I said, we never noticed the spot from the outside... but as soon as we entered - the place was packed and buzzing with positive energy. Definitely making this a frequent spot for us. “Found this place across the street from my hotel. I ordered the curry puff which was a great homemade appetizer. Soft and crispy with plenty of filling and flavor. For entree I ordered the beef massaman curry. It was a big portion, tender beef and the curry was well balanced and just the right amount of spice that I like. Overall a great meal and the staff were very kind. Restaurant is not small but only has about 9 tables that seat 4-5. Some have benches. Very clean and comfortable environment. Recommend to anyone.“
“I came here with a colleague/friend and his wife for dinner. Overall, I enjoyed it.The food, service, and atmosphere are good. The fried pork belly dish that I had was excellent. The location in Occoquan's historic district can't be beat. The buildings are quaint, the river is right there, and there's a park, walking paths, and a foot bridge to cross the river.I have to give a lot of props to the young lady who was serving the entire dining room. It was just her, and she did an excellent job serving the tables and handling takeout orders by herself. At around 6 PM when I got there, the restaurant was empty. Shortly after I arrived, four or five parties of people came in, and she handled everything well. She also did a great job handling a very rude, condescening woman who kept asking her dumb questions about the menu and wasting her time.I would definitely return to Bann Thai Old Town for another dining experience or a takeout order.Parking: There are parking spaces available along the street. There's a large parking lot located about a half a mile away.“

The staff was very attentive without hovering too much. I had the shrimp pad Thai, kanoom jeeb, and the spring rolls.The apps came out quickly and piping hot. The pad thai followed a few minutes later. I have always enjoyed coming here. Would return all the time if I could. My only issue is the spring rolls could have been drained more (better). We’ve tried several places and this is the only place that comes close to sushi we’ve had on the west coast. Their fish is always fresh and they season their rice to perfection. The restaurant was quite empty except for one or two tables that were occupied. It didn't give me a great feeling, but it was a week night so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Service was quick and they came to take my order soon after I was seated. I ordered the kao soi from their menu which I enjoyed along with the spring roll that they brought out. The soup was just right. The veggies were crisp and soup was not loaded with sodium. The soup was enough for 2 people. The ginger fanatic with shrimp and brown rice was excellent The sauce was light so you could taste shrimp and crisp vegetables. Maybe they could add a little more broccoli. Ginger was the right amount. A little bite to the flavor. The pad Thai was light and not too heavy. Again, right amount of sauce. The serving size was enough for 2 people.
