“Our Airbnb host recommend The Choo House so my husband and I gave it a whirl while in town for our anniversary. So glad we did! We snagged a spot at the bar with Jade since reservations were booked 2 weeks out. Jade was super attentive, friendly and exuded grace under pressure. There’s a full bar, wine, and beer selection. All the other couples who sat down (8 seats total) were super friendly. We both ordered the sirloin special - best steak each of us ever had. I ordered the strawberry, blueberry and rhubarb crumble a la mode for dessert…quite possibly the best crumble I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to return! Dinner not pictured because we dug in too fast.“
“The hospitality at River Hill Distillery was amazing! A group of us came to Stanley for the weekend and numerous people told us to check this place out, so we did and I am extremely happy we did! From the wine, the bourbon, whiskey and moonshine they were all amazing! After we did our tasting the gentleman gave us a tour of the back of the house and explained the process of making everything! I will 10/10 come back and would recommend it to ANYONE! Make sure you try the Hillbilly Margarita. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“What a great breakfast! Charming dinning room. Also, can eat out on the porch with views of the mountains. The service was exceptional! Friendly, efficient and attentive. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. Large menu to choose from. Nice selection of tea to choose from. Great as tea drinkers are often overlooked in restaurants. We had a great breakfast experience! Highly recommend.“

“Awesome family run restaurant and bar in Luray. Perfect for a bite to eat after spending the day at Shenandoah. The staff is very welcoming and gracious and the food is just as good.“

“Cutr little spot nestled at the foothills of the mountain. There are several tiny cabins and a restaurant on the premises. They even have peacocks! We dined in for dinner and opted for the dinner buffet and salad bar. Everything was as expected. You can expect southern style cuisine here. There's an adorable brook behind the restaurant. Next time, we will stay at a cabin and try out the breakfast and report back.“

“The absolute best place to eat in the Stanley/ Luray area. They take a lot of pride in what they prepare, even the packaging shows more effort than most other restaurants or food chains. Eat ther, and you will enjoy everything they have. My Favorite ?“

“We got to Skyland shortly before dining hours were over. Despite being some of the last people the staff were gracious and welcoming. Our server Haley provided excellent service and was very friendly and nice! We had the trout, beef, and the pork dinner entrees and they were REALLY REALLY delicious. The dinner and service were better than some fancy places we’ve been in New York City! I think this was the best food we’ve had in a very long time. Thank you for your efforts dinner was wonderful.I almost forgot, I did not finish my pork because it was a hearty serving, but Haley mentioned the blackberry compote was their specialty so I figured I could fit some. It was also delicious. I ended up eating the whole dessert. Everything was so good!“

“Family run, hidden gem BBQ. We came here after visiting the Luray Caverns, about a three minute drive down the road, and it was incredible! They take credit cards and cash. The family that runs the station is very sweet and the bbq food is the best I've ever had! Ribs fell right off the bone. Smokey meat sampler, side of potato salad, Cole slaw, and sauces. The meat fell right off the ribs and the pulled pork is to die for. I am not a bi fan of potato salad but their homemade p.s. was incredibly delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We will be going back if we ever visit Shenandoah valley again!“
