“While visiting Lynchburg for a band competition my husband and I were looking for a good lunch - not the normal CFA, Cracker Barrel, etc. The reviews are what brought us and it did not disappoint!!! My husband got an arepa. I got 2 empanadas - a bean/beef/cheese/ plantain one and a chicken one. The first was as big as my hand! The second a little smaller. Both were absolutely delicious - hot, fresh, crunchy, flavorful. We also got the plantain rings as an appetizer. Of the 4 you get, we could only eat 2. They’re filling and have so much delicious cheese. I really wish this place was closer to where I live because it’s some of the best Venezuelan food I’ve ever eaten. HIGHLY recommend!!!”

“Truss is some of my favorite spots in Lynchburg. We’re regulars. Last night I had their scallop special and beet salad, it was perfection! Also their warm focaccia and salty butter was a real treat. We also love going for lunch and brunch. It’s a popular spot so it’s always smart to make a reservation, otherwise you might have a little wait but it’s worth it. My hubby’s gluten-free and they alway have great options.”

We have always had amazing waiters and waitresses but tonight our waitress acted like it was an inconvenience to go get us another salad, and breadsticks. Well last time I checked soup, salad and breadsticks were unlimited. It's a shame it has now became our least favorite place.”

“We had Outside the Cone cater our wedding, and it was a HUGE hit with our guests! The staff was incredibly friendly, and they were absolutely game with using our custom ice cream cups (mini baseball helmets, like at the games!). We got Vanilla, Chocolate, and Cookies and Cream, which, again, were all HUGE hits with our guests. We've been to the in-person store a few times as well, and it was just as good there as it was at our wedding. This is one of Lynchburg's best ice cream shops, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for either a sweet treat, or a catered event!”

“Be sure you have lots of time if u visit Al Ryan's as he makes everything fresh. The food was wonderful and u can tell it has been prepared just for you. Al gave me some Curry to sample and it was amazing. wonderful spice pallet. the lamb used in the dishes was prepared perfectly. It was moist and savory just like I remember it in New York. Al is a wonderful guy and deserves your business.”

“this was a life changing experience eating here. once i finished my meal i realized i was able to levitate , see through walls , transport through space and time and even do long division. the next day i noticed i was able to shoot lazor beans and lightning bolts through my fingertips and move things with my mind. highly recommend”

“My mom and I tried them for the first time today and we are a sucker for real authentic Mexican, and they were amazing!! We ate 4 tacos in less than 10 minutes they were so good! The place is so cute, cozy and inviting. The two workers were extremely nice and helpful! If you haven’t tried them, I 10/10 recommend giving them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

“I have loved Hangry Joe’s Lynchburg from the first time I tried them when they first opened. I have been a regular customer since then, just love the mighty Sando. This past Thursday, 4/4/24, I gained a new level of respect and appreciation for this restaurant. On that day, I had a small issue with my order that I felt the manager should know about (substituted fries, instead of waffle fries I received crinkle fries). Not a big deal, but I felt he should know. So, I messaged him and to my surprise, he insisted that I receive a replacement meal on him!! That was greatly appreciated and totally unnecessary! He went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of!! I love supporting local businesses and this one is at the top of my list for chicken greatness❤️ My support and recommendation will continue ❤️ Thank you so much!!”

Staff are wearing long sleeves and agreeing that it’s cold and admits to “standing near the heat lamps” to stay warm. ”
