What's going on with Rania's? In the past, it was our favorite local restaurant. The food was always delicious and the service was top notch. The last few times we've gone there, the quality of food and service has been declining. We decided to give it one last chance. I ordered the lasagna and it only had three small pieces of pasta in a pile of ground meat. The side order of sautéed vegetables were wet but not cooked.

Terrible food it was nothing close to Italian …. carbonara was terrible I’ve worked in an Italian restaurant and have family that own a 4 star Italian restaurant in New Jersey . carbonara is not made with Alfredo sauce , also order oyster Rockefeller, they were fried oysters covered in Alfredo sauce yuk … and lobster ravioli was cold with warm white sauce over priced and gross 96 $ wasted …. And the food came out in 5 minutes not made to order or fresh .

The ambiance is very dare night worthy! There's a piano in the middle of the floor and the look of the restaurant is fine dining. I had the lobster ravioli and it did not taste handmade and lacked flavor. I would try again eating something else because it's a beautiful place. The waiter was friendly also.
Tim was awesome, great service and genuinepersonality! Really positive experience! Big portions and pretty good flavor! Give em a try.

Been a long time since I was there and it wasn't very good.I ordered a Ribeye Steak rare and they brought me a cut of Prime Rib that was thrown on the grill! They apologized and said it was hard to serve Prime Rib Rare?I told them I ordered a Ribeye Steak and was told it was the same thing....?I have tried to give it another shot but every time I call it seems they're closing early...I'm guessing they will be out of business soon...

Walking in, I felt like I was in a way back time portal, so my expectations were low. However, the service was great, and the people were very helpful. I got the lasagna and a Caesar salad, which were fantastic. My son got the shrimp alfredo, which he deemed "meh". The alfredo sauce was very thin and didn't mix well with the pasta. The bread provided and the accompanied marinara sauce was a great free appetizer. Overall, don't let the looks fool you, Ranias is a pretty solid choice.

Went for the first time to this hidden jewel last night with my wife and another couple. Great food, Awesome waiter. Love the older vibe decor. Comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely go again and recommend.
Food looked great and most of it was good however one seafood item seemed a little undercooked. I just took it home and finished cooking it there. Defeated the point of eating out. Otherwise service and atmosphere was good.
The food is amazing! By far, the best restaurant in Martinsville!
