“We had a skrimp po boy which tasted fantastic with a nice kick plus a side of hushpuppies which were also great; we ordered everything as takeout and sadly by the time we got home the po boy was all but disintegrated however that did not take away from the quality at all, the portion of shrimp was pretty generous. We tried the gizzards too which seemed to be a new menu addition and while the portion was also decent they were not as good, fine but not great but then again it is a seafood place and not a chicken place mainly. The prices are alright and theres a lot of sitting space inside.“
“I've been a Skrimp Shack regular since Mitch and his wife opened the one down the street from Lee Hall Elementary School.The menu has grown a little since the beginning, but the concept remains the same: downright good comfort food. That spicy po-boy sauce is a great compliment to everything from the catfish nuggets to the shrimp po-boy and beyond. Usually fast and always friendly.The prices have gone up very reasonably over the years and are still reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive.“
“I was AGAIN in bliss. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly: the fish, the chicken, the string beans, the beans & rice, the potato salad....and that PINEAPPLE CAKE. My family loved all the food and took plates home. They wanted to know where they could get more of this home cooking. Kente's will always be our place of great comfort food!“
“Visited The Chipper today because I periodically crave what is the best fish/chips in the area! Always a friendly/informative greeting followed by hot/crunchy/flavorful haddock and chips! “After 10 years, finally made it out to Park Lane. The food and service did not disappoint.The restaurant itself was tidy and had a neat pub design. Really enjoyed all the small details and different take on seating.I liked seeing their weekly specials and am looking forward ti visiting again.Dietary restrictions: They were able to make substitutions (ie. I would like to have a picture but I was too, too busy stuffing my face as soon as I got it, although nice and hot!Seriously, the flounder sandwich had more pieces of fish than the entire box I'd just purchased @ grocery store, and didn't have to cook it!Worth every dime 4REAL! Skrimps great too--EVERYTHING IS GREAT, EVEN BANANA PUDDING DESSERT. Be warned, NO ROOM for dessert w/fish sandwich (flounder best). You are going to absolutely love this place! ?“
“We stopped on our way out of Virginia Beach 10 years ago, and loved it so much we wanted to stop again some time. So 10 years later, we stopped again. Same nice lady and good food we remembered. Nothing fancy, just good food and genuinely nice people who appreciate your business. We’ll look forward to stopping again, hopefully not quite as long this time!“
