The drinks are divine and the personable, attentive service is top notch. Just make sure you have a reservation and make it in advance if you want to dine here, you won't be disappointed!!”

“Had my MIL birthday dinner. Service (Samantha) was excellent and on point. Drinks were good. Food was absolutely amazing. And desserts were over the top. (Don't miss the creme brulee) We all enjoyed the steaks, salmon,scallops and chicken. Cannot recommend chef Kyle and his staff enough.”

“Three of us went to dinner at 6pm on a Wednesday evening. We didn't have reservations but the main dining room seemed almost full so they sat us in the second room. The food and service were phenomenal. We got the lobster ravioli and the salmon picatta. The free bread and olive oil was delish too. The only downside is there was a large party of like 20 people that came into the room and it made it hard to hear my friends at my table. But the host apologized for that and checked on us a few times throughout our dinner.”

“The food is excellent! I truly can’t say enough good to convey how wonderful it is. I had the fahsa tonight. It was delicious! I had intended to take some home to share with my parents, but it was so good that all of us at the table just kept savoring it with the hot bread that comes with it. I’ll just have to take my parents to Shibam so they get the full experience. BTW, our waiter is perfect! We’ve been lucky enough to have him each time.”

“Each time I go, everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is fantastic! The best seating is outdoors, and if the weather gets chilly, there is a basket of blankets inside that you can borrow from to keep you cozy. It's like going to your best friend's house and spending the day out back with good games, great food, and the best company! I highly recommend stopping in!”

“Harpoon Larry’s is a fun bar! Erin was our bartender and she is EXCELLENT!! She kept us supplied with oyster shots and beverages, spent a few minutes talking to us, all while managing the bar that day. The seafood is great, the atmosphere was friendly, and we had a great time!”

“This was my first dinner experience at Schlesinger's. It was a week night so it wasn't crowded. We had reservations and arrived a few minutes early. We were promptly seated, our hostess was very pleasant and helpful with recommendations. The restaurant has comfortable seating with linen place settings. The service was great. Our choices from drinks, to appetizers to entrées were so good. The Seafood Trio and the Pork chop with apples was cooked perfectly. Compliments to the chef. The sides we had were Schlesinger's potatoes and the Broccoli au gratin delicious. I hope to come back soon”

The cheese pull was top tier. We order a supreme stuff pizza. I think they could have added more veggies. There wasn’t much veggies or meat. It felt like I was eating a pepperoni pizza with garden tomatoes sauce. Nonetheless I enjoyed it and want to try more from the menu. I recommend to try this place out.”

“I ordered a family meal. The general tso chicken was very good, enjoyed the heat and it wasn’t overly salty. I liked that there was a choice of rice! The hibachi was delicious, vegetables fresh, crisp and the meat tender. The chicken soba noodles were excellent with a nice ratio of meat and noodles but a little salty. The last item in the family meal was egg rolls. They were crispy but not a fan of the mushy inside. That won’t stop me from ordering their food again. I’m a fan!”

“Tanpopo Ramen beat my expectations for local ramen. The atmosphere is great. They have the interior decorated with Japanese inspired flags, pictures, and advertisements. The music is also great and adds to the atmosphere. The servers are very friendly and polite. The takoyaki was great, and the ramen wasn’t bad either. Overall, I’d recommend coming here if you need a ramen fix.Parking: Way more than enough free parking.”

The lamb burger is seasoned exceptionally well and doesn't have that gamey taste that usually comes with lamb if it is not cleaned/prepped well. The only suggestion I would make is that the sweet potato fries could be a little less burnt. I love the crunch and the salt that the sweet potato fries have, but more often than not, the fries are usually overcooked, and you get the charred aftertaste.”

“The greatest culinary mystery of Hampton Roads is how Taste makes their multi-grain bread taste so good! Plenty of crunchy crust, pillowy soft interior, thick enough to where it holds up the sandwich ingredients, but not too thick to where it overwhelms the other ingredients. My go to's are the Beach Club (roast beef instead of ham) and the Northender (Swiss cheese instead of Havarti and house dressing instead of basil mayo). Don't skip on the house or hot house dressings. The bottles aren't cheap, but it's the chef's kiss to these sandwiches. And major props for having Dr Brown's soda and Route 11 chips! Parking is usually a challenge, so if you get a spot on the street, count your blessings. Plenty of seating and there's also a lot of grab and go options as well.”

Technically, they do not even deserve a one-star rating.I returned to this location and ordered a Jr. Whopper with bacon/ no cheese combo. It was a 100%+ improvement. They deserved five star or better!!! (Under new management) The burger and french fries were fresh, hot, and delicious. Yum-yum. I will be back!”

The meat was crunchy but soft, and the glaze was sweet, but not too sweet. The rice was nice and soft and I like that it sticks together so it's easy to pick up and eat. “This gem been outside of Lowe's for as long as I can remember. If you ever been to Lowe's you know the iconic smell as you walk in and out of the building. However even though I've grew up in this area, I've never tried it before. This day I've decided to stop by and grab whatever produced that smell that was drawing me in. The kind worker mentioned it was a Philly cheese steak that he cooked previously, so of course I went ahead and grabbed one for myself. When I tell you that sandwich was so bomb! Well seasoned, stuffed with meat and cheese! And loads of veggies to match. I must say even though I couldn't find what I was looking for in Lowe's, I still left out a happy girl that day!”

The service is quick And honeyyyy…the Rasta pasta and cookies are to die for! The Rasta pasta was perfectly seasoned and the cookies are super soft and flavorful. Please just try it. Stop overthinking everything and support small business. We are definitely coming back for that Apple Pie candle!”

“The restaurant was clean ans the service was A+. I had the bbq nachos, and they were amazing. I have been eating these nachos since they 1st opened this restaurant, and they are always delicious. My fiance and the bonfire meal, and this is like a cookout at your table. Glad we had date night here.”

“I have heard of Chipotle for years, but never went. Maybe I like to stick to what I know. Maybe the show South Park ruined it for me before I even knew it was a thing. (don't watch that episode). But after all of these years, I finally wanted to try it. After a week of watching YouTube videos of how to order, I knew what I wanted. A bowl with everything except guacamole. Ew. No mashed grass for me. After my first bite, I had a critique. And that's to everyone in my life who have tried Chipotle. Why didn't my SO CALLED FRIENDS AND FAMILY tell me how good this is. Like, do they not care for me. Do they not love me, and want what's best for me. Why hold out on this gift which is the Chipotle bowl. The chicken reminds me of a warm wet kiss from a lover with flavored chapstick. The brown rice was just right. (I wish my rice can turn out like this.). I put so much in this bowl. Half of it I don't even know what it is. But man, this thing has a spice to it. But it's not too much. I am able to enjoy the rest of the stuff on the bowl. But occasionally, that kick comes back and say "Hey. Still here." And I say "I know. And I love you for it." I had a medium drink. Decided to try mandarin agua fresca. Bougie. That's how I felt. I felt "this is why I work so hard, so I can have moments like this". For my second drink I had a root beer. Writing this review, I am now halfway through with this gift of a bowl. And I ask myself, do I have the self control to wait until next payday to buy another. Should I say screw it and give into temptation. Do anything else I life even matter? I like that attitude of the workers. I didn't feel like I was asking a dumb question when i asked if it cost extra for queso. I will and I shall come back.”

“This charming restaurant offers stunning views and a local vibe that’s hard to beat. The service is fast, attentive, and the food is exceptionally fresh and tasty. I tried the crab cake sandwich, which was excellent. However, the side of coleslaw was disappointing, not your traditional coleslaw. I’d recommend opting for the french fries next time. Also, the prices were very fair. Overall, it’s a definite go-to spot for a delightful dining experience.”

“My Wife and I dinned in yesterday for lunch. What a great experience. We both had a salad with chicken. Mine was blackened to perfection. Great selection of tap beers, although the beer menu was not an updated one, my server quickly lmk what was available. The food was great and the dressing paired very well with the salad, which was suggested by our server. Great atmosphere and service. I would highly recommend this place. 5 stars. We also look forward to when the SnS sauces are offered when hot sauce is requested at table side. Thanks again, we will be back.”

“We made a special trip to give these a try and they did not disappoint. The donuts were gigantic (the size of my toddlers head!), soft dough and our selection was flavorful. We tried the coconut cream and strawberry glaze.”

“Food and service was good. Seems really empty for the time we ate here. I would argue its tastes better than 80% of the Mexican places in Newport News. Seems to do more take out than dining in. Parking is annoying though. I hope this place lasts.”

“Took the kids to the new Waffle House on Jefferson Rd in Newport News. It was a hit for them and me. I actually love their waffles but we all know THE HOUSE can be a little janky sometimes and smell like dirty mop water. This one was very clean, the servers were nice, professional and actually smiling. The food was The House's finest of dining! I Recommend this location.”
